Instructor: Dr. Bart Collins and Dr. Melanie Morgan

Credentials: Dr. Collins directs the online masters in strategic communication at Purdue University. Collins, who holds a Ph.D. in communication studies from the University of Kansas, teaches courses in emerging communication technologies, persuasive principles, and social influence. An expert in telemedicine, Collins is also the director of healthcare communication at Purdueā€™s Regenstrief Center for Healthcare Engineering.

Dr. Morgan is an associate professor and director of graduate studies at Purdueā€™s Lamb School of Communication. Also a Kansas Ph.D., Morgan teaches courses in research methods and organizational communications and is the co-author of Effective Presentations.

Graded: Students will receive a certificate for completing their assignments and abiding by the honor code.

Description: This refresher course is geared towards professionals like engineers, accountants, andĀ  scientists. In particular, it focuses on how this audience can present technical content to non-scientists, to help them better understand and act on their information.
