Credentials:Ā  An academic and a practitioner, Hlavac is the President and CEO of Marketing Synergy, a firm that helps CEOs and CMOs develop social, mobile and integrated marketing strategies. Since 1992, he has also taught at Northwestern Universityā€™s Medill School of Journalism, where he heads the schoolā€™s integrated marketing communications department. There, he also directs the departmentā€™s IBM OmniChannel Initiative. Description:Ā The third in a five course specialization, Engagement and Nurturing Marketing Strategies

features real examples of successful social strategies from practitioners like Pushing Social CEO Stanford Smith and InfoNewt President Randy Krum. Building on the lessons from the previous two classes, students will learn how to measure performance with social metrics, along with understanding how, when, and why to use landing pages and infographics. During the course, students will also create a blog and develop a social marketing strategy.
