Bentley University’s McCallum Graduate School offers an MBA in a sprint: 11 intense months. And it’s carved into four ten-week themes: innovation, values, environments, and leadership. Each theme is team-taught by faculty in four courses in what the school describes as a “unique studio setting.” Translation: small highly interactive classroom settings–not big lecture halls where profs stand in front of PowerPoint presentations.
An added feature of the full-time MBA program is three field-based collaboration trips in which students travel to see how successful companies, not-for-profits and government agencies develop and implement best practices that transform their organizations. Two of the three trips are to international destinations.
The program is small and intimate, with a total full-time enrollment of under 100. And students also are on the young side, with the average age of an entering student just 25. The average work experience of a full-time student is 39 months.
