The Wake Forest School of Business MBA program focuses on entrepreneurial approaches to business problems. Because of the integrated nature of the core curriculum, every student is required to take all first-year courses.
All students must choose a primary career concentration, which requires 12 to 15 credit hours of study from pre-approved lists of courses.
The school’s career concentrations build on the foundation of functional skills developed during the first year of the program and focus on preparing students for their careers.
Students may choose to pursue two primary concentrations if they prefer, or they may choose one primary concentration and one secondary. A secondary concentration requires nine credit hours of study.
On October 22, 2014, Charles Iacovou, the school’s dean, announced that they would be shutting down the full-time MBA program. In its place, Wake Forest plans to to expand enrollment in other programs and to add more executive education, pre-experience and specialized master’s in business.
