Description: “Managing the innovation process is neither a scientific process nor a black art…In addition to detailed research and planning, its success is influenced by human factors and, of course, luck!” That is how Dr. Holland views the process of selecting, developing, and introducing innovative products and services to the market. In this course, she introduces a four P model of the innovation process: People, possibility, protection, and practice. Through lectures, case studies, and activities, students will learn both theoretical and practical steps for spotting opportunities and formulating unique responses to potential gaps and needs.
