The New Faculty Faces At The Top Business Schools

Stanford’s GSB hired an impressive 12 new faculty members with a combined total of 20 years of experience. The big hire was Hanno Lustig as a professor of finance from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management. The GSB was also able to hire Adina Sterling, a former senior engineer at Proctor & Gamble and assistant professor of strategy at Washinton University’s Olin School of Business. The other professor with prior classroom experience was Paulo Somaini from MIT. Stanford also hired Mohammad Akbarpour and Benjamin Hébert, who were not included because they deferred to begin teaching to Fall 2016. The current number of tenured or tenure-line faculty is 124. Stanford also hired 24 lecturers for a total lecturer count of 121.
