TRACKING ENDOWMENT PER STUDENT: ESMT LEADS ALL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOLS

Another measure of endowment strength is comparing schools by the amount of endowment per student. On this metric, ESMT, the school that bills itself as one founded by business leaders, tops the list, with €548,207 for each enrolled undergraduate, graduate and doctoral student at the business school. ESMT’s high mark is largely the result of its very small enrollment of just 251 students. INSEAD, with a significantly larger population of 1,423 students, is second with €133,310 per student.

After ESMT and INSEAD, there’s IMD, with just 290 students and an endowment per student of €76,054, followed by Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, with €40,458, Queen’s Smith School, at €31,149, and IESE Business School in Spain, with €25,905 per student (see below).
