Graded: Students will earn a Statement of Accomplishment for completing a Nonprofit Assessment and the Individual Giving Action Plan. Description: Think one person canāt make a difference? Donāt tell that to Laura Arrillaga-Andreessen. In Giving 2.0, Andreessen will share how students can strategically invest their money, time, expertise, and network for maximum social impact. As part of the course, students will formulate an Individual Giving Action Plan, where they identify how their resources and talents can be applied to helping nonprofits. In addition, students will conduct a detailed assessment on specific nonprofits using a variety of metrics, with selected charities eligible for grant funding. The course will be taught through lecture and guest speaker videos, workbook activities and quizzes (though no final exam will be given). Students can also interact through virtual meeting groups devoted to specific topics. Review: āIt’s great course to understand what and how to give. The quest speakers gave lots of stories to student for “case study”. And the assessment methodology of evaluating a nonprofit is quite useful and easy to participate. The assignment of assessment a nonprofit takes a while to think about and finish, but it was a good one to “train” our brain how to define a problem and how to get useful recourses to resolve them.ā For additional reviews, click here.
