“The top thing students unexpectedly discover at Kellogg is the breadth of global experiential learning opportunities,” says Christopher Aleman, assistant director of MBA admissions at Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management.  “In your first course, you are going to realize you are in a class with students from 50 different countries all over the world. In your very next term, you have the opportunity to study abroad at one of the 37 partner institutions for exchange across 20 different countries if that is what you want to do for ten weeks. If not, you can take advantage of one of the classes that offer a global experience. One of the more popular ones is Global Initiatives in Management which is an opportunity to go to a different part of the world and study a particular problem area in business. You study a topic for eight weeks in Evanston and then go to a country which has that issue and meet people of influence from political leaders and former presidents to royalty who can do something with the ideas you present.”
