Thomas Bates, associate director of MBA/MS programs at Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management

Purdue University’s Krannert School of Management

“We are an engineering school by nature and a school that really values entrepreneurship,” says Thomas Bates, associate director of MBA/MS programs at Purdue’s Krannert School of Management. “We just opened up a rail yard that is an entrepreneurial space designated particularly for students who have that entrepreneurial spirit. We also have the Purdue Foundary and Discovery Park. All of these things create a very innovative and vibrant ecosystem for tech commercialization and analytics. There are a lot of opportunities for bright students to step outside the classroom and bring ideas to fruition.”
