DON’T MISS: FOR FIRST TIME, CONSULTING BEATS FINANCE AS NO. 1 CAREER CHOICE AT CHICAGO BOOTH

  • Kyle Matthews

Stanford seems to be crushing HBS on finance salaries. GSB only has 2016 report posted, but yikes…not even close. Kind of surprising given HBS rep as being better for finance. And HBS doesn’t even disclose the mean.

    You’re an idiot.

250000/3k hours (what clown isn’t getting a bonus). 83/hr taxed at 40% effective, 50 post tax.

    I pay 40 effective at 310k

Disappointing that more HBS grads are choosing either mission-focused professions in non-profit or taking offers which may come with less comp but an improved lifestyle? I think it’s a huge win for Harvard…

$200K/4K hrs. a year(80 hrs./week)=$50/hr. NY taxes at 50%, $25/hr. post tax. Subtract monthly student loan payment to get that job= down to $21/hr. Holy wow.

  • a few typos in article….

Very disappointing for Harvard. Big hit here.
