Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I coordinated between 3 time zones to manage 24×7 performance testing for our client’s e-commerce site and suggested further improvements beyond the scope of the project. This led to acquiring an additional project for the company and receiving an ACE award from Accenture given to only 0.33% of the workforce.

Describe your biggest accomplishment at Warwick so far? Being an introvert, socializing with people from such diverse backgrounds seemed like a huge challenge initially. Now with 1 term over, I’m extremely proud of how many friends I’ve made from various countries and how every day I get to learn something new from my classmates. Finding a feeling of “home” at Warwick with such different nationalities, personalities, and experiences have been an achievement in itself.

What quality best describes the MBA classmates you’ve met so far and why? The quality of being humble despite their highly commendable achievements is something which I’ve come across a lot and admire the most.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key factor that led you to choose this program for your full-time MBA and why was it so important to you? Warwick has a beautiful campus with a large number of societies which can entice people with any hobby or career aspirations. I wanted to explore both personally and professionally and Warwick seemed like the best option to aid that growth of personal transformation.

What club or activity are you looking most forward to in business school? We’ve had a great opportunity to go on international study trips, for which I’ve chosen to go to SDA Bocconi, Milan. I look forward to not only the 1 week of classes we have there but also experiencing a whole new culture and yet another diverse set of MBA students.

What led you to pursue an MBA at this point in your career? Having had 5 years of technical experience I tried to make the switch to technology consulting within my previous company. That switch made me realize the importance of gaining a wider business perspective and knowledge which is where the MBA came into the picture.

What other MBA programs did you apply to? None (Did a huge amount of research and new Warwick was the best fit from the start)

How did you determine your fit at various schools? Since I had a year’s work experience in the UK, I knew I’d adjust well to the work culture here. I looked at the best schools in the UK and Warwick immediately stood out because of 3 reasons – ROI, class size and on-campus opportunities. Talking to alumni sealed the deal since everyone was all praises about their MBA experience at the school. Since I want to go into technology consulting, I looked into the kinds of events Warwick does in collaboration with the likes of IBM and Accenture. With such strong ties with these companies and a strong alumni network in various consulting companies, I knew an MBA from here would fit into my career goals.

What was your defining moment and how did it shape who you are? In our Leadership Plus workshops, we’ve had a lot of insightful sessions until now. The one that clearly stood out to me was the “Courageous Conversations” workshop. It made me realize how the simplest of things we say have such a profound impact. I learned how simply modifying a few words and tone of the conversation could lead us on to much better results and how facing our most dreaded conversations can actually lead to some of the best things that can happen in our lives. That one day of the workshop was a huge stepping stone in my personal development.

Where do you see yourself in five years? Having gained experience in technology consulting, I see myself going on to leading transformation projects with companies like IBM / Accenture.
