At one point in his life, 27-year-old Harshit Kohli thought he wanted to become a lawyer. So he earned his degree in law from the National Law University in New Delhi, interned at Jones Day, did a law clerk stint and then spent one and one-half years at the largest law firm in India working on corporate merger & acquisitions deals.
But then he pursued a passion, founding a foundation to improve agricultural practices in rural India by, among other things, helping farmers tap into government aid programs. With a 730 GMAT score, he intends to apply to Harvard Business School, Stanford and Wharton.
