It’s not exactly the kind of job that sets someone up for an elite MBA program. But Kevin has high aspirations and a spectacular background for a solid application. His undergraduate GPA was an impressive 3.98 and he scored a 720 on the GMAT in his very first try. Besides his Tk years of full-time work experience, he also has great extras, including service as a board member of young professionals in a San Francisco organization that leads construction projects to help rebuild vulnerable and under-served parts of the community. His target schools? Harvard, Wharton, MIT Sloan, Berkeley Haas, Northwestern Kellogg, Yale SOM, and Duke Fuqua. In this Friday with Sandy episode, HBSGuru founder Sandy Kreisberg handicaps Kevin’s odds of admission and provides valuable advice on what he should emphasize in his application.
