Dartmouth Tuck Announces Leadership Appointments

There are big changes coming to the leadership at Dartmouth’s Tuck School of Business.

In a letter to the Tuck community, Dean Matthew J. Slaughter announced new appointments to the b-school’s academic leadership.

NEW APPOINTMENTS

Brian Tomlin, William and Josephine Buchanan Professor of Management, will serve as Senior Associate Dean for Faculty and Research, effective December 1.

Joseph M. Hall, Clinical Professor, will serve as Senior Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning, effective July 1.

Kevin Lane Keller, E.B. Osborn Professor of Marketing, will serve as Senior Associate Dean for Innovation and Growth, effective July 1.

“We achieve our mission through three important ways,” Slaughter writes in a statement. “Through faculty research whose rigor and relevance creates new knowledge; through exceptional teaching, in the MBA classroom and across all of our offerings; and by advancing Tuck’s culture of innovation and continuous improvement.”

Additionally, two roles will be refined with additional responsibilities while one top official is leaving the school. Gina Clark des Cognets, a 2001 Tuck MBA and associate dean for planning and operations, is leaving Tuck.

Deputy Dean Punam Keller will now oversee the departments of Institutional Research, Finance, Facilities, Information Technology, Talent Management, and Undergraduate Programs,

Keller, who is an expert in consumer information processing and choice behavior according to Tuck, will continue working with the Dean in developing and implementing overall strategy, planning, and positioning for the school.

Associate Dean for the MBA Program Sally Jaeger will now be in charge of admissions and career services in addition to setting the vision for student engagement at Tuck.
