Shannon is aiming high with her MBA aspirations, targeting Stanford, Harvard, Berkeley, MIT, and Chicago Booth. And on paper, at least, she’s an ideal candidate with a 740 GMAT score, a 3.6 GPA in environmental sciences and economics from Peking University, and lots of great working experience in several different countries.
After earning her undergraduate degree, she first worked as an analyst in an investment bank’s strutted finance group. Then, she joined an internet company providing on-demand ride-hailing and food delivery services. She was part of the core team to launch the taxi[=hailing business in Japan and the food delivery business in Mexico where she is currently based and in charge of customer and restaurant strategy and operations.
In this episode of Friday’s With Sandy, HBS Guru Sandy Kreisberg brings Shannon through the paces of a mock interview.
