The Willamette MBA In 60 Seconds

What should you know about the full-time MBA program at Willamette University’s Atkinson Graduate School of Management in Oregon? Here’s Poets&Quants Unplugged for the answer.

Number one: You don’t need work experience to gain admission into the MBA program. Its early career and career change MBA allows you to enter without the typical two to five years of work experience that most other MBA programs demand. And here’s the thing, while you’re there, you can take three semesters of internships for credit, which gives you the learning experience to talk about with future employers. More than that, even in the first year, you’re engaged in a consulting assignment with a nonprofit that really gets you to roll up your sleeves and go right to work.

Number two: It’s only one of two business schools in the world that has dual accreditation from both the major business accreditation society as well as the public administration accreditation agency.

Number three: This past fall, for the first time, the school began to offer a six-credit certificate course in data science, which students can apply to their MBA requirements.

That’s the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette in 60 seconds.
