MBA Handicapping: 2+2 Swimmer, Tech Founder, Banker, Comedian Tries For HSW

When Aaron took the GMAT for the first time three days ago, he scored a 730. It was a score he promptly canceled because he’s aiming for at least a 750. After all, this MBA hopeful has an impressive 3.85 GPA at the school where, as they say, fun goes to die, the University of Chicago in the school’s prestige economics department.

He’s also the co-founder of an educational tech startup, works part-time for a med tech startup, spends 20 hours a week swimming as a member of the Varsity Swim Team where he has set two records. After a couple of i-banking internships, he has a full-time job waiting for him as an investment banking analyst at Credit Suisse when he graduates later this year.

Aaron is in application mode for several prestige deferred MBA admissions programs, including the 2+2 program at Harvard Business School, Stanford GSB, Wharton, Chicago Booth, MIT Sloan and Columbia Business School.

What are his chances? In this Friday’s with Sandy episode, HBSGuru.com founder Sandy Kreisberg handicaps his odds of admission.

If you would like to participate in a future Friday’s With Sandy webinar, you can contact Sandy and P&Q Founder John A Byrne here.
