Where are you currently working? The Boeing Company, Software Systems Developer, Industrial Internet of Things / Industry 4.0 / Factory Technology

What achievement are you most proud of in your professional career? I am most proud of the US Patent I received for the “Electronic Control of Diesel Systems” when I worked in the automotive industry. The collaboration with team members and solving an industry problem demonstrated what people with diverse backgrounds can achieve.

Why did you choose this school’s online MBA program? The Jenkin’s MBA program offered convenience for working professionals without sacrificing quality.

What was your favorite part of being in an online MBA program? I enjoyed the flexibility of attending classes and meeting with classmates at various times during the week made the online MBA program perfect. For example, I remember meeting online with classmates one Sunday evening for a project, meeting with a business owner during lunch on Wednesday for another project, all while going over class material in the evenings. I did all that while maintaining performance at work. Gotta love it.

What was the most surprising thing about an online learning environment?  I was surprised about the learning platform used to teach the classes. I maintained the schedule, lectures, assignments, quizzes, tests, and syllabuses for the classes. This system kept me on track. If I had a busy week, it allowed me to go back through the lectures and refresh my memory on the topics

How did your online experience compare with your in-the-classroom experience as an undergraduate student? I think it was a better experience. Before, I would tape record lectures to playback later and take notes. With the online experience, being able to playback video lectures and communicate with instructors gives you multiple opportunities to get the information right.

What would you change about an online MBA Program?  I would make it free for everyone to attend. The endurance to complete the program would diversify and identify unhidden talent.

How has your online education helped you in your current job? My online education has helped me become a better thinker, communicate strategic approaches with financial implications to teams, and design organizations based on their business goals.

What is your ultimate long-term professional goal? I want to launch my own products on the open market.
