I am most proud of leading America’s young men and women through multiple training cycles to prepare for a ship’s deployment. Why did you choose this school’s online MBA program? The military-friendly environment fostered by the staff made the decision to attend the University of Arizona an easy one. What was your favorite part of being in an online MBA program? The flexibility of the program allowed me to learn at my own pace while balancing military commitments. What was the most surprising thing about an online learning environment? How easy it was to contact professors and work in a group environment was the most surprising thing about the online environment. How did your online experience compare with your in-the-classroom experience as an undergraduate student? The Online environment was unique since it requires you to be a self-starter rather than being obligated to attend scheduled lectures. What is your best piece of advice to an applicant for thriving in an online MBA program? Create a schedule and a space to complete work. By establishing a routine, it becomes easier to immerse yourself in the online MBA experience. What would you change about an online MBA Program? I would have like more advisement from university staff regarding course selection. How has your online education helped you in your current job? The O-MBA has allowed me to apply business concepts to real life problems and will help make my transition out of the military much easier. Number of Hours Per Week Spent On Online MBA: 16 hours per week. What is your ultimate long-term professional goal?
