A strategy and planning advisor at ExxonMobil, Mridhul would bring a lot to any MBA classroom. After an internship as an internal tech consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers, he landed at Exxon as a business analyst, gaining a promotion with Chief of Staff responsibilities and yet another promotion to his current role over his three-year stint with the energy giant.
He has worked with people from all over the world, including Argentina, Malaysia, and India, mentored new hires and has been a university recruiter for ExxonMobil. His post-MBA goal is to earn a job at one of the big three global consulting firms–McKinsey, Bain or BCG–to learn strategic thinking, develop a leadership mentality, and build his network by working with a variety of clients.
With a 750 GMAT and a 3.78 GPA in computer science from the University of Texas at Austin, he certainly has the numbers for any M7 school and he intends to apply to all of them: Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, Chicago Booth, Northwestern Kellogg and Columbia Business School.
In this episode of Friday’s With Sandy, HBSGuru.com founder Sandy Kreisberg coaches him through the application process to his elite schools.
