This 8-Year-Old Wants To Go To Harvard Business School

For many ambitious young people, attending Harvard Business School is a long-held dream from an early age. But Aiden may very well be the youngest person ever to express his desire to attend HBS.

He is just eight-year-old.

In a written letter sent by snail mail to Harvard Business School, the resident of Florida makes clear his intention to get an MBA from the school.

‘HELLO HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL’

Yet, this is a serious inquiry. After writing “Hello Harvard Business School,” Aiden asks a series of questions so he can begin to prep for his journey into HBS.

“Do you mind if you tell me some things about this school?,” he asks. “What do I need to know to get an MBA degree? What is it like on campus?”

One clue to his future: He drew a Harvard logo and colored in it at the bottom of his letter so he is most likely a would-be poet, not w a quant.

Of course, Aiden has a long road to travel before he should apply to HBS. After all, the average age of an entering Harvard MBA student is 27 with several years of work experience. Last year, Berkeley’s Haas School of Business welcomed its youngest MBA student ever: 20-year-old (see At 20, He’s The Youngest MBA Ever At Berkeley).

‘IT’S NEVER TOO EARLY OR TOO LATE TO START PLANNING FOR YOUR MBA’

Amused by this boy’s early interest, HBS put his letter on social media with a cute message.

“It’s never too early or too late to start planning for your MBA degree at HBS! 😊

Thank you for your letter, Aiden! We hope to see you on campus in a few more years.”
