In the second half of the year, you will be completing an Academy devoted to areas like Marketing, Finance, Operations, Digital Enterprises and more. Which Academy interests you the most and why? It would be the Consumer Marketing Academy because of the study of human behavior and decision-making. I want to pivot into a people management/HR role, preferably in the consumer packaged goods industry, so I feel like this will be the best fit for me.

Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Indiana Kelley’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? “Me, Inc.” really caught my attention from the very beginning. I saw it — and can already confirm — that it is an amazing opportunity to increase one’s self-knowledge even before classes begin. I had already gone through a career coaching experience before and realized how important it is to clearly identify one’s personal strengths and values so we can move towards and achieve our major life goals. I feel like this chance to deep dive into my personal story right at the beginning of the MBA program is a Kelley differential.

What course, club or activity excites you the most at Indiana Kelley? Organizational Behavior, Organizational Design Alternatives and Design Thinking seem to be the classes most aligned with my career goals, so I’m excited about what I will learn from them. Since I will be moving to Bloomington with my husband, the Partners Club will be important to us, so he can feel engaged with the Kelley community. The Latin Club and Soccer Club excites us as well.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: I believe that delivering my company’s first digital annual shareholders meeting was a big challenge that I was able to conquer. Preparation started around five months before the general meeting. It involved a checklist of approximately 100 tasks under my responsibility, that also depended on more than five departments and three external vendors. The meeting was a success. I have received the CFO and CLO formal recognition and the meeting became a benchmark for next editions.

What do you hope to do after graduation (at this point)?  At this point I hope to join a human resources development program at a multinational company, as I believe this kind of program provides a great opportunity to experience many different HR subsystems in a highly structured way.

What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Indiana Kelley’s MBA program? Look for current students on LinkedIn. Talk to them to learn how the admission processes works, what kind of financial aid Kelley offers and what are the Kelley differentials. Kelley culture is all about collaboration and helping each other so take advantage of this and reach out!
