What has been your favorite part of Atlanta so far? What has made it such a great place to earn an MBA?

My favorite part of Atlanta so far has been the city’s vibrant mix of culture, innovation, and opportunity. Whether I’m exploring its incredible food scene, visiting world-class art exhibits, or engaging with the dynamic business community, there’s always something inspiring to discover. Atlanta’s unique position as a hub for global companies and startups has made it the perfect place to earn an MBA, offering unparalleled access to networking, internships, and career opportunities. Plus, the city’s welcoming and diverse atmosphere has made transitioning to life as an MBA student feel exciting and energizing.

Aside from your classmates and location, what was one key part of the Scheller MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you?

One aspect of the Scheller MBA programming that drew me in was the practicum courses, which provide real-world experience before graduating. Having the opportunity to work on hands-on projects with top companies while still in school was incredibly important to me. It’s one thing to learn strategy and operations in the classroom, but being able to apply those concepts to real challenges adds an entirely new level of preparation. This experiential learning aligns perfectly with my career goals, giving me the confidence and practical skills to tackle complex problems in the fast-paced business world after graduation.

What course, club or activity have you enjoyed the most so far at Georgia Tech?

The Full-time MBA Consulting Club has been my favorite extracurricular at Georgia Tech so far. It’s been an incredible opportunity to connect with an extremely supportive group of people, including second years who’ve been generous with their guidance and advice. The club’s focus on building case skills has been a highlight for me—I love the challenge of solving abstract business problems and honing my critical thinking skills. It’s both educational and a lot of fun, and it’s been invaluable for building confidence, sharpening my skills and expanding my business acumen.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far:

My biggest accomplishment has been contributing to the growth of two startups from fewer than 10 people to successful acquisition and scale. Working closely with founders to shape the company’s vision and execute strategic initiatives has been the highlight of my career so far. As the companies grew, I grew with them—balancing multiple priorities and wearing many hats. Thriving in these dynamic environments was a rewarding challenge that has helped shape my professional journey and prepared me for future leadership roles.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far:

My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student has been tackling the challenges of a busy yet rewarding first semester of core coursework. Coming from a non-quantitative background, I embraced unfamiliar material like financial accounting, computer programming, and complex data analytics… I’ve honestly loved every minute of it! This semester has not only expanded my skill set but also reaffirmed my ability to adapt and embrace a challenge. It’s been a transformative experience, laying the groundwork for the rest of my MBA journey.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far?

My best memory as an MBA so far has been working with my core team. We come from vastly different backgrounds—engineers, project managers, business analysts—but that’s what made it so special. Watching how each teammate approaches our work in their own unique way was inspiring and has enabled me to see the projects we’ve completed and problems we’ve solved from an entirely new perspective. We lean on each other for support outside of the classroom too. After our first set of exams, we got together to celebrate over Jeni’s ice cream. We sat together and reminisced on the good, bad, and best of our experience so far – it was truly a treat (pun absolutely intended).
