What has been your favorite part of the Twin Cities so far? What has made it such a great place to earn an MBA?

As an international student, I have really come to love how welcoming the Minnesotans are. People in this community have this warmth and openness that makes me feel like I belong here. The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum has been my favorite so far. Earning an MBA at the Carlson School of Management has been amazing because of the business community and it has opened up opportunities for networking, internships, and hands-on learning. It’s been such a rewarding experience.

Carlson MBAs spent a year in hands-on Enterprise programs for Consulting, Branding, Ventures, and Funds. Which program do you intend to enroll in? What excites you most about your Enterprise program?

Venture Enterprise: This enterprise excites me because it offers the chance to step into ambiguous situations and turn them into actionable opportunities. This program offers the unique chance to work on projects where clear paths and solutions don’t always exist, pushing me to think creatively, take calculated risks, and develop innovative strategies.

Aside from your classmates, experiential learning, and location, what was the key part of the Carlson MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you?

One key part of the Carlson MBA program that drew me in was the Enterprise Program, particularly the Ventures enterprise. This program stood out because it offers a hands-on opportunity to work on real-world projects that focus on innovation and business growth. The chance to collaborate with companies to identify opportunities, solve complex challenges and create value was exactly what I was looking for.

Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far:

My biggest accomplishment in my career so far has been founding a company that has created employment opportunities for 50 women and youth, empowering them and improving their standard of living. This experience allowed me to make a tangible impact in my community by fostering economic growth and supporting individuals to build better futures for themselves and their families.

Describe your biggest accomplishment as an MBA student so far:

My biggest accomplishment as an MBA student has been collaborating with a diverse team. Working with people from different cultural and professional backgrounds taught me to embrace various perspectives and adapt my approach. For example, in a market segmentation project, I helped bridge differing viewpoints by fostering open communication and integrating everyone’s ideas. This experience strengthened our results and showed me the power of empathy, flexibility, and teamwork in solving complex challenges.

What has been your best memory as an MBA so far?

My best memory as an MBA so far has been the amazing people in the program. Everyone is not just talented but also kind and supportive. It’s been inspiring to be surrounded by such a diverse group of people who are always willing to collaborate, share experiences, and help each other grow. The connections I have made and the sense of community have made this experience truly unforgettable.
