As an introvert, my biggest career accomplishment has been finding my voice and confidence in environments that often reward extroversion. I have learned to lean into my natural strengths like thoughtfulness, deep focus, and careful communication to contribute meaningfully to team projects, build strong relationships, and take on challenges that once felt intimidating. It has been empowering to grow professionally without having to change who I am. When you think of your school, what is the first word that comes to mind? Why? Community. From day one, I’ve felt a sense of belonging at Texas A&M. Whether it’s the support from professors, the collaboration with classmates, or the pride that comes with being part of the Aggie family, there’s a deep-rooted connection that goes far beyond academics. What are one or two key aspects of this program that led you to choose the program, and why were they so important to you? Two key aspects that led me to choose the Flex Online MBA program at Texas A&M were flexibility and reputation. As a full-time working mom and wife, I needed a program that could adapt to my busy life without compromising quality. Texas A&M’s strong academic reputation and values-based culture sealed the deal. It felt like the perfect fit for both my professional goals and personal commitments. What course, club, activity, or experience excites you the most and why? What excites me most is the opportunity to earn my Aggie Ring. It’s more than just a symbol, it represents hard work, resilience, and being part of a powerful legacy. Knowing that I’ll wear something that connects me to generations of values-driven leaders is incredibly motivating and meaningful. What is one thing you have recently read, watched, or listened to that you would highly recommend to other prospective MBAs? Why? I’d highly recommend Atomic Habits by James Clear to any prospective MBA student. It is a game-changer for productivity, focus, and sustainable progress, especially when you are balancing school, work, and life. The book breaks down how small, consistent habits lead to big results over time. It is practical, motivational, and a great reminder that success does not come from intensity alone but from intentional systems and daily commitment. What are two things you have learned that have surprised you so far – one academic and one non-academic? Academic: I was surprised by how engaging and valuable data analysis and operations turned out to be. What I expected to be intimidating became one of the most practical and empowering parts of the program. Non-academic: I was genuinely surprised by the strength of the Aggie Network. It is not just a connection; it is a true community that shows up for each other. Even in a virtual setting, the support from classmates has been incredible. It has created a sense of belonging and motivation that I did not expect but deeply value. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into your MBA program? Be authentic and intentional. Share your why. What drives you, and how this program aligns with your goals. Highlight your ability to balance responsibilities, your passion for growth, and your commitment to making an impact.
