The Technical University of Munich is – technically – older than the country of Germany itself. Founded in 1868 by King Ludwig II of Bavaria, it predates the unification of Germany by around four years.

Since then, it has established itself as one of Europe’s leading higher education institutions, with researchers and alumni receiving a total of 19 Nobel Prizes and 25 Leibniz Prizes.

The School of Management was founded in 2002 to carry out teaching and research that intersects management, engineering, natural and life sciences. Today, TUM School of Management places particular emphasis on managing digital transformations, family enterprises, and the role of computer science in a dynamic international business environment.

At the graduate level, the Master in Management & Technology supports students in both management and technical specializations, allowing them to link engineering or natural science foundations with management practice in complex, technology-rich environments.

The Master in Finance & Information Management offers a different area of specialization, focusing on a blend of computational analytics and quantitative finance to prepare graduates for leadership roles in today’s hyperconnected digital economy.
