It has quickly become my favorite hobby because it challenges me both physically and mentally, within a supportive community-driven atmosphere. It’s been a rewarding way to stay active, focused, and connected outside of work. Undergraduate School and Major: University of Notre Dame, Neuroscience and Behavior Most Recent Employer and Job Title: Huron Consulting Group, Manager Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Cornell’s MBA programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? A key part of Cornell Johnson’s MBA programming that truly stood out is the Strategy and Consulting Immersion program, which combines academic rigor with practical, real-world experience. Led by Professor Chris Bordoni, the program offers deep exposure to complex business challenges to develop strategic frameworks alongside hands-on problem-solving skills. This was especially important because I want an MBA experience that prepares me to hit the ground running in my next career step. At the same time, I want to sharpen my leadership abilities through collaborative teamwork and constructive feedback. The Immersion also emphasizes building comfort with ambiguity, helping students learn to navigate uncertain, rapidly changing situations with confidence, which I see as a vital skill for long-term success. What excites you the most about living in Ithaca and the Finger Lakes region? I’m very excited about the chance to explore the amazing hiking trails around Ithaca, with its beautiful waterfalls and refreshing scenic views. I’m also looking forward to experiencing the local wineries and cideries in the Finger Lakes, where I can learn more about wines and ciders, and connect with people in a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Cornell? I’m excited to engage with the Johnson Healthcare Club and participate in the Annual Healthcare Symposium, a unique forum that brings together industry leaders and students to explore the complex intersections of business, technology, and healthcare. I look forward to helping plan and execute this impactful event, while deepening my understanding of how diverse stakeholders, patients, providers, regulators, pharmaceutical companies and payors collaborate to shape healthcare outcomes. Being part of this vibrant community will sharpen my ability to craft innovative, sustainable strategies and gain a comprehensive perspective on the healthcare ecosystem. What is your unique quality that will enable you to make a big contribution to the Class of 2027? Why? I’m deeply committed to advancing women’s leadership through mentorship and advocacy. From serving as a Resident Assistant in a women’s dorm to leading training bootcamps at work, I’ve focused on creating spaces where women can grow and lead confidently. At Cornell Johnson, I aim to grow myself and contribute to the Women’s Management Council by doing my part to help organize mentorship programs, promote gender-diverse recruitment, and build a strong support network for aspiring female leaders. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: As a co-lead of one of the capability offerings at my firm, I have collaborated with other leaders to evaluate our current framework and identify key opportunities for improvement. This led to the creation of specialized teams focused on advancing methodologies, enhancing integration across functions, and launching a goal-tracking system to improve alignment and accountability. Our efforts not only standardized best practices across projects but also promoted a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Looking ahead two years, what would make your MBA experience successful? Success at Cornell Johnson means stepping outside my comfort zone and fully immersing myself in the community. I want to take risks, whether that’s exploring a new career path, stepping into unfamiliar leadership roles, or leaning in by listening more when it’s needed and speaking up when it counts. At the same time, I want to do my part in building an inclusive, supportive environment where others feel empowered to do the same. If I can graduate knowing I’ve grown through challenges and contributed to a stronger, more connected Johnson community, I’ll consider the experience a success. © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants.
