London feels like the only place where the sheer scale of global business meets radical innovation. I’m particularly drawn to the city’s electric buzz and unparalleled energy, giving me an MBA classroom that extends far beyond campus walls and into every corner of a dynamic international market. Aside from your classmates, what was the key part of Imperial Business School’s MBA curriculum and programming that led you to choose this business school and why was it so important to you? The core curriculum’s commitment to marrying science with business strategy (the STEMB focus) is what sealed it. We’re in the age of digital and AI, so pairing this will be fundamental for all businesses moving forward. What course, club or activity excites you the most at Imperial Business School? The module The Psychology of Sales: Mastering the Mindset to Drive Results is something that excites me the most. It is a somewhat unconventional subject for an MBA but offers an opportunity to approach sales with a different mindset, which is why I find it so appealing. I believe sales is core to all business, so taking this exciting subject will give me a distinct advantage in whatever I do next. The Imperial MBA is known to strike a balance between core business knowledge and skills that emphasize vision, judgment, and innovation. What area do you hope to strengthen during your year of business school and why? For me, it’s about gaining a deeper understanding of financial and operational fundamentals. This isn’t about becoming the accountant on the team, but about ensuring my strategic judgment is rooted in quantitative fluency so I can fully understand the numbers and better inform my decisions. It’s also about building on my leadership skills so I can show up as my best, most authentic self in the leadership position I take. What is your unique quality that will enable you to make a big contribution to the Class of 2026? My unique contribution lies in combining creativity and thinking outside the box with strategic execution. This enables me to take the incredibly complex and technical ideas that our STEM-focused cohort generates, develop a novel approach to them and translate them into simple, compelling narratives. When you think of Imperial, what is the first word that comes to mind? Impact. The Business School’s focus is on making a tangible difference in the world. It’s not just about learning business theory; it’s about applying world-class science and strategic thinking to solve global problems immediately. Describe your biggest accomplishment in your career so far: Moving to the UK 3 years ago and settling into a new culture away from home. This move was a deliberate act of professional and personal risk-taking and was successful because I was able to rebuild my network and career momentum in a completely new country. What advice would you give to help potential applicants gain admission into Imperial Business School’s MBA program? My advice would be to demonstrate your ‘fit’ with Imperial’s STEMB core. This applies even if you aren’t from a traditional science or engineering background. Don’t just show your business acumen; articulate how you plan to use their unique technological and scientific resources, like the Enterprise Lab or hackathons that they host, to drive your learning. Also, be honest about what you don’t know and how the MBA will help you bridge those gaps! © Copyright 2026 Poets & Quants. All rights reserved.
