The Master of Science in Business Administration (MSBA) program provides high-quality business education to those who strive to become leaders in business, government, and various other industries. The one-year MSBA program builds competence in international management coupled with a comprehensive business foundation. Gies Business is committed to academic excellence, maintaining a collaborative learning environment, providing high-quality student service, and developing lifelong learning skills.
The MSBA program features faculty experts teaching problem-solving competences in disciplines such as economics, finance, marketing, operations, management, and accounting. Students will enhance their development of critical managerial skills in the areas of leadership, teamwork, ethics, and communication.
The course requirements for the MSBA program consist of 40 credit hours drawn from a set of core courses and elective courses. The MSBA program is designed to be completed in one year.
Courses are progressively structured and delivered in both eight- and 16-week modules, which allows diving deep into a vast array of important topics over the one-year time frame. Students may select courses that are either two-credit or four-credit courses to fulfill the program requirements. Students must take at least 12 credits of international management courses, which could include courses such as ethical dilemmas in business, multinational management, global marketing, global strategy, among many others.
Admission to the MSBA program is highly competitive. Decisions are based on the individual’s previous academic accomplishments, interview performance, test scores, work experience, personal statement, resume, demonstrated potential for graduate and professional success, and references.
