Blast from the Past:

Bloomberg Businessweek’s MBA Ranking Guru

For nearly 25 years, Businessweek’s MBA program rankings have served as the industry standard. The first ranking of its kind, Businessweek’s methodologies laid the groundwork for similar rankings by US News and World Report and The Financial Times.

In 2012, Bloomberg Businessweek published its 13th ranking of MBA programs. Before its release, Poets and Quants sat down with Louis Lavelle, an associate editor responsible for compiling business school rankings. In a wide-ranging interview, Lavelle provides an inside look at how Bloomberg Businessweek ranks MBA programs: What variables are measured – and how much do they receive in their formulas? How do Bloomberg Businessweek’s rankings differ from other publishers? And what types of changes has Lavelle and his staff made to evaluation criteria? Click on the link below to learn more:

MBA Humor

This is the story of four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody. There was an important job to be done and Everybody was asked to do it. Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it. Somebody got angry about that, because it was Everybody’s job. Everybody thought Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn’t do it. Consequently, it wound up that Nobody told Anybody, so Everybody blamed Somebody.
