Michael was great to work with and made me feel confident in my application. I needed assistance bolstering the analytical side of my profile and he did just that. His help with my resume was amazing.
Michael’s communication was clear and direct which helped me manage my expectations during the business school application process. I felt like I could ask any question small or big.
He is a great consultant to work with especially if you feel you need more attention to the analytical side of your profile.
I am very happy to have been recommended Katharine by a work colleague. I have been working in hospitality for 17 years and was apprehensive about even applying for the Columbia EMBA Global Program. After my first initial consultation with Katharine, she not only gave me the confidence to apply but reassured me that I was a good fit for the program. Katharine was very helpful at every stage of the application process and really helped me to highlight the best attributes of my career and personality in my application. Katharine is able to provide the insight of an admissions person having worked in admissions herself and I would not have wanted to go through the application process without her insight. Highly recommend!
With 2+ years of work experience at the time of application, I was successfully admitted to Wharton’s full-time MBA program with guidance from Devi. Communication with Devi is highly effective as her comments are always straightforward and to the point. Devi encouraged me to think deeply about why an MBA is right for me now (since I also come from a quite technical background) and to discover my true motivation and passion for my long-term career. With the help of retrospect and prospect, I was able to tell a compelling story that connected all the dots.
I started working with Devi only a couple of months before round 2 apps were due. With only 2 hours of time purchased, she was very efficient and made the most of each and every minute we had together. Devi is the perfect mix of honest and supportive. She helped me reshape my narrative in my applications by clarifying my purpose across my essays and providing thoughtful guidance to my recommenders. Before working with Devi, I was rejected from the one school I had applied to the year earlier. After just 2 hours of time with her, I was accepted to 3 and waitlisted at 1 out of the 4 T-15 schools I applied to. Use Devi!! You will not regret it!
Working with Devi was an excellent experience. I came to her a bit discouraged after not being accepted to my target schools the year prior. She was the perfect balance of encouraging and realistic – she kept me committed to the process and helped me feel exceptionally well prepared. Happy to have been admitted to Wharton as a re-applicant. I only wish I had worked with Devi the first time around!
I highly recommend working with Harshad to help you with your business school applications. Through his help and a long few months, I got into GSB, Wharton, and Booth!
I actually started a little late (in November) for Round 2 deadlines but Harshad was more than up for the challenge. He set expectations upfront – we knew going in this is going to be an uphill battle.
From the onset, it was clear that Harshad was highly organized and methodical in his approach. Harshad is definitely not someone who will beat around the bush and/or sugarcoat. He is direct but thoughtful which is the exact duo you will need while going through this process, especially when you get to a point where every day matters. I did this application process while working full time which definitely made my availability difficult but Harshad was very flexible and available for late nights and weekends, whenever I needed him! He is unparalleled with his turnaround time which definitely surpassed my expectations.
Part of the challenge of building out your application is not just having a good story but showing the story rather than telling the story. This is where I found Harshad to be a differentiator – he takes the time to get to know you, your interests, your passions, and who you are as a person and makes sure to reflect that in his process to help build out your application. He will steer you away when you think certain information is valuable to have but is really just fluff (which was extremely useful when trying to meet those pesky word counts!) and push you to write more impact even when you think there isn’t anything left. During the mock interviews, he falls into school-specific persons that allow you to really practice through different styles of interviews.
Overall, Harshad genuinely wants you to succeed and will do his best to get you to the best place you can be. I recommended Harshad without reservation and to the fullest extent!
Harshad was instrumental to my success. I worked with him through mbaMission’s 3 school package. Not fitting the typical mold, I was very apprehensive about how to portray myself appropriately to the admissions committees. Harshad was recommended to me because he had the “heart of a storyteller”. When we first spoke, his emotional intelligence stood out amongst other qualified professionals I had interviewed for advisory. I was convinced he was the right person to guide me.
In October, I was overwhelmed with what to do. I was full of questions, but Harshad was prepared for all of my inquiries, even scheduling time with me during nights and weekends to accommodate my full-time work schedule. He always responded to my questions promptly. His responses were crisp and insightful.
We began with a brainstorming document that formed the foundation of our work going forward. Afterward, I started drafting my first essays. Harshad was direct in his feedback: several of my drafts were subpar. It was tough for me to accept this reality, but Harshad’s tact and empathy helped me move forward with the necessary changes. I re-wrote the drafts multiple times. I encountered a similar process during my mock interviews and my resume writing as well. The final products were worth it.
Applying to B-school was a critical time in my life, but having an adept, caring professional advising made a world of difference. This week, I received an acceptance from my top pick going into the process. I had hoped for my dream school, but getting in feels completely surreal. I am deeply grateful for all of Harshad’s guidance.
Harshad was very helpful through my MBA application process. As a chemist with 8 years of work experience, Harshad used his own engineering background to position my story for success in the business world. I hired Harshad on an hourly basis and he was able to help me with essays from 5 schools as well as my resume without going over the allotted time. Ultimately, I was accepted at HBS, Tuck, and Haas. I believe Harshad helped me sharpen my story and he wasn’t afraid to redirect my focus when needed.
Working with Jessica was absolutely great. I would recommend her to anyone. I used her hourly consult services when pulling together my executive MBA applications to Wharton and CBS.
She is extremely responsive and efficient so you know you can always depend on her to give you prompt feedback on essays or hop on the phone to answer questions. She helped tremendously by pushing me to be more clear/concise in my essays and saved me a ton of time by distilling the application process down into what’s most critical. This saved me a ton of time and stress!
Jessica was able to explain which points to emphasize most for a given school in a way I never would have known without her.
Jessica was also very constructive in how she used the consulting hours that I paid for. She always focused her efforts on what was most critical and would discuss with me how best to use the time before she went to work. I never felt time was being wasted. She was very helpful in helping me determine what package would make the most sense for me from a financial and results perspective before I committed to buying anything.
I was accepted to both schools that I applied to and know others who have had similar results with Jessica.
I could not have gotten into my target school (Wharton) without Harold. From our first conversation about whether an MBA made sense for someone like me (a lawyer looking for a career pivot), to choosing between the GMAT and GRE, to multiple rounds of essay review and interview prep, Harold was insightful, responsive, and amazingly supportive. My background is non-traditional for an MBA applicant, and I definitely could not have put together as compelling a story as I did without Harold’s coaching, which was incredibly detailed and school-specific. Even during the peak season before Round 1 deadlines, Harold never missed his promised 2-day turnaround time and regularly responded the next day with great feedback on my essays. I also really appreciated that he laid out a clear timeline for when we should be hitting each application milestone (finishing the GRE, reaching out to recommenders, finishing essays) that made the whole process feel manageable. Simply put, I could not have asked for better support throughout my application process and would STRONGLY recommend Harold to anyone who is applying!
Krista is simply fantastic. After obtaining my GMAT score, I decided to apply to MBA business schools, but I did not have any experience. The only advice I could get was from some agents introduced to me by my parents. That had been neither rewarding nor enriching and was very inefficient. I went into a panic, and after reading through reviews, I decided on mbaMission. I chatted with Krista initially, and she was the one who has been with me throughout this long and arduous process from the beginning to the end. Krista has been very effective in pinpointing the next step of action. She is experienced and organized in every step taken to ensure that my time has been used effectively. With so little time at hand, not a single second had been wasted without her giving me valuable feedback on my short answer questions or my essay drafts. As a person who values effectiveness and efficiency, I think Krista is one of the best I have ever encountered, and working with her is seamless. I think Krista is valuable to all those seeking assistance on their MBA application. It is very easy to get confused with MBA applications in essay writing, short answer writing, the GMAT (if you need to retake it), networking, and talking to the admission staff. And Krista is there for anyone serious about their MBA applications. How do you approach the alumni and schedule meetings with MBA admission staff, you ask it, and you will be answered. Thus, I would like to offer a word of advice for anyone who wants to apply for their MBA with Krista, never be afraid to ask questions regarding your MBA applications; in truth, you are helping yourself by doing so. And from my experience, if you did, she would help you. Not only did Krista support me in terms of her professional expertise, which is one of the most refined, but she also supported me emotionally. After being waitlisted by other MBA schools, I was disappointed and disheartened, but I felt much better after confiding with her. She has been optimistic, and I was encouraged by her kind comments. She has this phrase, “it is never over until it is over” sometimes, waiting for a decision can take you into an emotional turmoil which makes the experience not so exciting. Still, Krista certainly makes my experience more light-hearted. I am grateful to have Krista to help me with my MBA application. However, I am even more grateful to have met her and to know them as a professional and a friend. I hope she stays healthy, and I hope anyone who wishes to engage Krista to help with their MBA application has the best and brightest future.
I did an extensive amount of research on MBA consultants and chose Katy Lewis for her fabulous reviews and expertise with top schools (Harvard / Stanford) and applicants with “traditional” consulting / finance backgrounds like myself. In all aspects of the process, I was extremely impressed by her – she was incredibly helpful in the brainstorming / narrative formulation component and was also invaluable in providing feedback on essays. After receiving interviews at Harvard and Wharton, I did multiple mock interviews with Katy and found them to be extremely representative of the real interviews. She is an expert at positioning candidates for top schools and is also a wonderful coach and cheerleader through what can be a very stressful process. I was ultimately admitted to Wharton with scholarship but chose not to attend for a few reasons (mostly COVID uncertainty and a compelling work opportunity). Katy went out of her way to advise me professionally and also to help me position myself as a reapplicant. This year, I applied again and was admitted to GSB and Wharton with significantly more scholarships than last year. Would highly recommend working with Katy, particularly if you’re targeting top business schools!
I applied in Round 2 in fall 2022 for the Class of 2024 and bought MBA MIssion’s 5-school package. I was admitted into my top choice school, Wharton and accepted their offer of attendance.
I did my free consulting session with Debbie Choy, and knew immediately that she would be a great fit as my consultant. I told her on the spot that I wanted to sign up with her. However, at the time, I hadn’t taken my GMAT yet. Debbie encouraged me to wait until I took the GMAT before paying for the consulting package because it is non-refundable. Debbie even offered to hold my spot with her until after I took the GMAT. That action showed me that Debbie (and MBA Mission) really care about what is best for me, and not just collecting my money. I ended up signing up immediately anyways because I was tight on time before deadlines, but that action was very meaningful to me.
Debbie really took the time to understand who I was and what makes me a strong candidate. Many times throughout the process, I asked her if specific topics would be suitable for essays or short answers. My concern was, maybe these topics were too common or “not what the school is looking for”. Debbie always encouraged me to be myself while giving me tips on what parts of my story I could highlight to strengthen my application (but still being authentic)!
With her many years of experience, Debbie is a fantastic and knowledgeable consultant. I highly recommend her!
Without hesitation, I can say that Devi helped me put forward my best self in the best light on all my applications. This was more than just helping me format or write the best essays. The most valuable part of my time with Devi was either in our calls or the homework she would give me which really made me introspect. Devi gave me the confidence to write about some of the stories in my life that I may not even have thought to do so without her pulling them out of me.
Devi was perfect for me because she gave tough love when I wasn’t giving my 100% and assuring advice when I panicked. In retrospect and in discussions with other candidates, I realize this is incredibly valuable as not all consultants are able to change their management style as adeptly to suit each situation or candidate.
The other factor to note is that while I would apply to additional programs that I did not work with Devi on, Devi’s work with me on my three main applications absolutely improved the overall quality of my independent applications.
I had researched nearly all the consulting service providers online and shortlisted three of them. After the in-depth calls with each, I chose Debbie to be my consultant and signed a 5-school package with her.
She is very responsive, super knowledgeable, and has guided me through every step of the application process. In the beginning, I had not decided which schools to apply to, so we began by discussing the school selections. Debbie understood my background and my desired career path so well, and thanks to that, I was admitted to a B-school (and it’s an M7!) that she recommended but I did not plan to apply to in the first place.
Not only the fact that I was admitted with a scholarship, but also after my interactions with the alumni and current students, I found that I loved this school the most, and it actually fit me the best (the culture, my career goal, and strengths, etc.)
I would say the timeline for my applications is quite tight – I only started at the end of September while super busy with work. Debbie helped manage the timeline so I did not feel rushed when the deadline for R2 was near. Instead, I managed to have time to apply to two more schools.
All in all, the journey with Debbie was super fun, no stress, but very productive. Emotionally, Debbie also eased my anxiety a lot. I emailed her every question I had (even very tiny ones), and she would respond with patience. I am really grateful!
I come from an overrepresented population and was accepted by top 10 programs (US News ranking). Katy was a great help in my application process. My job has the nature of being very technical. Katy spent time knowing what I do. She helped me find the best version of myself where I can pull myself out from the details of my work and figure out on a high level what I want to achieve. Katy wasn’t only my consultant but also a mentor teaching me how to reflect on myself, how to become a good leader. The attention she gave me was more than what I thought I would get from a consultant.
Harshad was instrumental in helping me get into the MBA program of my dreams! His constant support, guidance, and positive attitude played a pivotal role in achieving my goals. The MBA application process is an extremely strenuous one – Harshad’s positivity and humor really helped alleviate my stress.
Harshad was always very organized, timely, and meticulous in his editing and helped bring my story to life in my essays. I was applying alongside my twin sister and we both clicked with Harshad and decided to work with him. He counseled us both but always made sure our individuality showed through our stories and essays. He helped us both get into our dream school.
Overall, I just want to thank Harshad for all his help and support. He was a true mentor and guide during the application process. I highly recommend him to anyone about to take on this MBA admissions journey.
Michael is a miracle worker. I scored a 640 on my GMAT (45 quant/34 verbal) which is not great, did not get amazing grades in college, and somehow Michael was able to help show the admissions committee how valuable of a candidate I was. He gave me the confidence to present my story and the accomplishments I was able to achieve in a very clear and impactful way. He went out of his way to make sure that I was getting the best possible consulting I needed to get into the MBA programs I wanted. After all of our hard work, we were able to get into 4 schools including KELLOGG. I truly believe that I deserved to get into these programs and I am as certain that this would not have been possible without Michael Guttman. He truly is the BEST ADVISOR.
I contacted Jen when I was preparing for an interview for admission to Kellogg’s MMM program. I did a 30 minutes free consultation with her and then a mock interview. Both sessions were very rich and she provided me with practical advice as well study material which came in very handy during my preparation. I am certain I would have performed well in my application to the programs I applied to if I had worked with her earlier on in my application process. I am definitely sticking with her for my next attempt at applying to business school.
After reading reviews online and hearing from peers, I decided to use Jessica for a multi-school package and was blown away by the overall process and results. In short, Jessica got me into 3 T10s, including one full-ride.
Beyond her strategic thinking, industry expertise, and phenomenal writing skills, I was most impressed by Jessica’s working style and work ethic. I come from a client services industry and was quite taken aback by how incredibly efficient and productive Jessica was (e.g., responding to emails, turning around revisions, hopping on the phone to provide feedback, etc.).
The other thing that I really appreciated about Jessica was her candor. She is very direct with the feedback and recommendations she provides. There were sometimes when she outright told me she disagreed with my ideas–that may sound harsh, but that was exactly the type of partnership I was hoping for. I wanted her to push and challenge me. She did not disappoint.
Jessica was an outstanding thought-partner on MBA applications. I candidly don’t think I would’ve had my success without her. My only regret is not signing up for her sooner–she fills up quickly!
I was able to secure a full ride at a Top 10 and Top 15 school through working with Nisha without a doubt. Coming into the process, I didn’t have a strong network of peers that were applying to schools and was juggling studying for the GRE and full-time work. Nisha helped provide structure during my MBA application process for Round 1 as we worked together on three schools. Nisha knew how to find the important themes and points in my profile that would differentiate me from other applicants with similar work experiences. I knew I wanted to spend the extra money given that I wanted to be as risk-averse as possible in the process and it was the best investment I made.
Kate was a great support during the business school application process! From our initial phone call, I felt that she understood my background & motivations and was realistic in helping set expectations for the application cycle. As I was brainstorming and working through written applications and essays, she gave very helpful school-specific guidance. She was extremely responsive to emails and precise in feedback and direction. Kate also introduced me to additional online mbaMission resources to give assist further with applications. Ultimately, with her help, I got into one of my top choices!
Kate did a stellar job helping with my applications. From the beginning, I knew I was in good hands with her and that she would give me the best chance to get into my target schools. Kate’s essay edits were incredible; she always had logical and impactful suggestions.
I’m also so thankful Kate helped through EVERY step of the process: essays, resumes, interviews, recommendations, post-interview reflections, waitlist updates, etc. Admissions consultants aren’t cheap, but the value of working with Kate far exceeded the cost.
Ultimately, the proof is in the pudding. Kate helped me get acceptances to 2 of the 3 schools I applied to (Kellogg and Booth), with a waitlist spot (final decision still to come) at another (HBS). I couldn’t be more thankful to have worked with Kate and would recommend her highly to anyone!
A friend who had been accepted to H/S in previous years had recommended working with Melissa Merchant and I’m so glad that I did!
Through the MBA application process, the personal essay portion was most daunting to me and I’m glad I worked with Melissa Merchant on it. Melissa did an amazing job helping me shape a story that was compelling and authentic to me. With each round, she provided candid and actionable feedback in a timely manner. In addition to the personal essay, I received support on short form questions, resume, and review of recommenders extremely helpful as well in shaping an overall strong submission. Through the interview process, mock interviews with Melissa were extremely useful and allowed me to feel more confident and prepared for the actual interview.
The two schools I worked with Melissa on are Harvard and Stanford and I was accepted to both! Melissa is also such a lovely person to work with, she made the overall application process fun and not stressful. Thank you Melissa for helping me be accepted into my dream schools!
Harshad had been a constant support throughout the application process. I could really connect with him, as it helped that I and Harshad have one big common area of interest. Harshad never sugar-coated words and was forthright in truly reflecting what schools and programs I held the potential of hitting. This was a major help, as it narrowed the focus of schools/programs, and accordingly, the work was cut out. Harshad’s biggest contribution came in the form of decoding what the essays were asking and then suggesting structures in which to put together essay responses. That was able to help me put together my stories in the most fitting ways.
On occasions of deadlines approaching, Harshad would without fail remain available to guide me at every step and get me over the line. His continuous backing was a huge mental support. He kept motivating me whenever I would feel any less confident or low in general, including discussing other matters too, that I was struggling with in general. He was very diligent and always respond on time, even though I was often tardy. Mock interviews with Harshad were another eye-opener, as I could figure out where all I was making mistakes (many of which were self-destructing), and how to time my responses. Without the mocks, I wouldn’t have ever been able to identify those gaps. Especially noteworthy were Harshad’s seasoned reflections of programs and schools. Such highly useful insights threw quite a light on things and guarded me from mixed opinions about schools/programs that I was otherwise gathering from miscellaneous resources. Especially as an international applicant, all of the above were hugely helpful and a must-have for me, as they would be for anyone applying to leading global MBA programs. In fact, Harshad is now a friend for life.
As an Indian male with a below-average GPA, I was doubtful about getting into a top MBA program. However, working with Harshad completely changed my opinion. From the get-go, he was extremely transparent and honest. He candidly explained to me I come from an overrepresented demographic and will have to score an above-average GRE score to compensate. After receiving my scores we brainstormed the best fit programs for me. He helped me in selecting safety schools, par schools, and reach schools. He was an incredible value add here because he was very knowledgeable about each program and could speak to their different cultures and expertise. After choosing the programs we proceeded to brainstorm. He helped me shine a light on things that would differentiate me and helped me tone down weaknesses in my story. Once I got to the essay writing stage, he would always return things in a day or under with quality edits and comments for me to work on. Overall he was immensely helpful in me getting accepted into Tepper, which is my number one option. He instilled confidence in me and helped me articulate a story that reflects the best version of myself. He is very candid and genuine and doesn’t try to sell services – he genuinely wants to see clients succeed and get into their top programs. He is extremely flexible and accessible. If I ever wanted to chat about anything out he would carve out time in his day to make it happen. His turnaround times are short too so there is no wastage of time. I found the mock interviews to be extremely helpful too since he asks tailored questions for each program. Again this just further reflects his expertise in top programs. All in all, I can confidently say that Harshad was worth every penny. He is extremely knowledgeable and helps curate the best version of yourself. His feedback during mock interviews and essays is relevant and reflects his high attention to detail. Harshad is very easy to talk to and uplifting too. Overall I would recommend Harshad to anyone. Without him, I would not have been able to get into my top program of Tepper.
Krista was incredible to work with. She was very attentive, offered great essay ideas/feedback, and responded to all my questions in a timely manner. I would highly recommend utilizing her services!
Having Harshad by my side during the MBA application process has been very critical: I do not think that I would have received an admission offer from my target school without his involvement. Harshad helped me craft my resume and my essays and got me prepared for my interview in a very efficient way. His tremendous knowledge about top-tier schools allowed me to craft essays that showcased my strengths and tied them with the school’s culture. One of the key challenges for me was to craft three essays and a resume in a two-week timeframe to apply in the early rounds of my target school. Harshad has been very reliable, well organized, and very reactive which allowed me to meet that goal. Also, Harshad does not hesitate to go the extra mile to deliver the best output possible. He remained available at any time and helped me to answer follow-up questions from the school’s admission committee. Without any doubt, Harshad is a great asset for any applicant targeting top MBA programs.
Coming from the K-12 education world, I was nervous to apply to business school because of my nontraditional and nonquantitative background. After speaking to several companies and consultants, I decided to work with Jessica because of her well-established track record and sharp expertise that came across in just one 30 minute call. Since I was 18 months away from my R1 deadlines, she first gave me specific, long-term advice to enhance my candidacy.
Once in the admissions cycle, I worked with Jessica to apply to 4 reach schools in the comprehensive package. She spent time learning my history to help me craft my experiences into a cohesive story for each application. Jessica was extremely responsive to all of my questions and gave pointed strategic advice for each school.
Jessica’s strategic guidance and brainstorming assistance allowed me to feel 100% confident that I was submitting the best applications I could. Having Jessica by my side reduced an incredible amount of stress from the application process. With her support, I’ll be attending MIT Sloan with a generous merit scholarship.
I worked with Devi on two schools and I would not have made it through the process without her! I had a little over a month to get two applications in and Devi helped me navigate the process from start to finish. I appreciated how candid Devi was while going through my story, essays, and interview process. She provided both honest and necessary feedback. It was evident how much she cared about me and I took the advice to heart. After a long journey, I have been admitted to NYU Stern. I can confidently say that I would not be in this position without Devi’s help. I would recommend her to anyone who plans on applying to business school.
Working with Harshad has been the best decision I took during this admissions cycle. I worked with Harshad through mbaMission’s four school package and his work was worth every penny. Right from the first brainstorming session, Harshad has been extremely interested and passionate about my background and goals. As we went through my applications, he has become my most trusted advisor and even a close mentor. I can always trust Harshad to never sugarcoat any advice. This has consistently ensured that my applications were of the best quality. Working with him has also made me a better writer in general – even when I write reports at work, I find myself asking “What would Harshad say.”
Harshad has always exceeded his turnaround time and I am actually in awe of how hard he works. Additionally, the meticulous detail of his work came through all the edits and suggestions he made for my resume and essays. He will continue editing and asking for revisions right until the draft is perfect. I also appreciated the fact that every time Harshad recommended changes, he always took the time to explain why such changes were needed.
Most importantly, it is abundantly clear that Harshad truly cares about getting the best outcome for me. With his help, I got into a truly amazing MBA program and I would highly recommend him to anyone starting out on their MBA journey.
Coming from a non-traditional background, the MBA application process seemed incredibly daunting to me. I selected the two-school package and thanks to Kate’s wonderful guidance, I was able to get into both! From the beginning, she provided me with a detailed schedule so that I could better prepare and understand the various components of the application. She was instrumental to help me put my best application forward. To help land on my story, we had several brainstorming sessions where we would discuss in-depth various experiences, either personal or professional. These sessions were so valuable to me throughout the application process, be it while drafting essays or even preparing for the interviews. Kate’s essay editing skills are just amazing! I don’t know how she does it, but no matter how long an essay is she always managed to trim down the content and yet not have its meaning lost. Kate’s extremely responsive, with great turn-around times! At the time of application submissions, I was confident that we had truly put together a high-quality application. I was very happy to hear I got accepted for interviews but was also nervous. Prepping with Kate for the interviews was highly useful! Her feedback is very specific and constructive, and allowed me to really focus my talking points in a way that would speak best for the school. All in all, Kate is incredible, and I am very thankful for her support! If you are looking for an admissions consultant, then look no further – Kate is the one!
I’m so glad I worked with Nisha! As a non-traditional applicant with time constraints, I was committed to hiring a consultant for my round 1 applications. Upon speaking with other consultants I felt she had the most confidence in my potential as a candidate, even with a less than stellar GMAT. Through our work together Nisha helped me craft materials that highlighted my strengths to outshine my weaknesses. We iterated a ton, and I appreciated her patience and commitment to my putting out the best materials possible. She was very timely and responsive and even went above and beyond our working agreement at one point to ensure I hit a deadline. I would not be going to my top choice with $ if it weren’t for Nisha!
The prospect of applying to business school can be very stressful (at least, it was for me) and that stress can be compounded when faced with the challenge of applying to multiple schools in any one round.
However, having Kim as a partner and guide throughout this journey made the entire process manageable, exciting, and ultimately very rewarding.
From our very first call, Kim made a genuine effort to understand who I was as a person, and what made me unique to the thousands of other applicants applying to top schools. Kim guided me through all phases of the application process (researching schools, recommendation letters, writing essays, interview prep, etc.) organizing our work on multiple schools so that I never felt overwhelmed with managing the multiple applications. She was always very thoughtful and quick to respond to any of my questions/revisions (sometimes even working on the weekends to provide feedback in order to meet a tight deadline).
While a very knowledgeable partner, what made working with Kim so special was how genuinely invested she was in my success. I’m so glad that I got the opportunity to work with Kim, and highly recommend her to anyone applying to B-school!
I worked with Harold Simansky in the 2021-2022 MBA application cycle and I would highly recommend him to anyone considering applying to MBA programs. Some things I really liked about working with Harold – First, he focuses on your personal and distinct story. I am a career switcher – trying to move from the energy industry into sustainability. Initially, I struggled with defining how my past career paired with an MBA would guide me into sustainability. However, through various in-depth brainstorming exercises, he helped me develop a clean and true-to-myself story that helped me in my applications, conversations with students and faculty, and my interviews. Second, Harold is prompt in his responses. Even though he is a top consultant with many clients demanding his time, I always felt my application had his full attention as he consistently responded to me in a timely manner. Third, Harold is going to push you to put the best possible application together. We spent much of our time on the front-end brainstorming essay topics, outlines, and resume structures. Then, we dove into drafting up responses. I’d write a draft, send it to him, he’d quickly provide critiques and suggestions, and then send it back to me so we could cycle again. We did this a lot and he focused on each component of every application being very specific to each school. By the time we were done, I was blown away by the quality of the essays, short answers, resume, and other responses he had helped me put together. Here’s the best part. Since Harold focused on ensuring every word I wrote was true to myself and my story, I felt as if I didn’t even need to prepare for interviews! We spent months developing applications that honestly described my career path, desire for the schools, and future aspirations. That made it surprisingly easy to walk into interviews fully prepared with minimal prep. Now, what was the result of all of this? Was it worth the money? To me, the answer is a definitive YES. While I’ll never know what would have happened if I had not decided to work with Harold, I do know that, by working with him, I not only got into my top schools, Fuqua and Darden, but I also got full-tuition scholarships to each.
From the start, I was immediately drawn to selecting Rachel to be my MBA admissions consultant. I was searching for someone who was highly knowledgeable about top-tier schools, who knew how to navigate the application process efficiently, and who possessed strong writing skills. I could not be more thrilled by my decision to work with her. I’ll let the result speak for itself – with Rachel’s guidance, I was admitted to every one of the MBA programs that I applied to, including my dream school, Wharton.
In initially screening for consultants, Rachel stood out because she had 10 years of experience and had helped thousands of candidates receive admittance to top-tier MBA programs. Her impressive track record alone instilled in me complete confidence that she is one of the best in the business. But what was equally important was that Rachel’s previous experience in journalism uniquely positioned her to help me craft and articulate my ideas in a differentiating manner, which proved to be the key to success given my traditional background as an over-represented male in finance.
After having worked with Rachel, I appreciated her partnership approach as she was genuinely interested in the results and never settled for anything less than stellar. When I was struggling to overcome a weak spot in my application, Rachel helped me craft a compelling story to help me stand out. While I was balancing a demanding workload as an investment banker and MBA applicant, Rachel’s high involvement throughout the process was invaluable. Finally, I would be remiss not to address her candor. Receiving honest feedback was critical and Rachel provided it in a supportive and encouraging manner.
Hiring Rachel as my MBA admissions consultant was the best decision that I made. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to get into a top-tier MBA program.
I had decided to submit my applications early in the cycle and hence started researching and talking to consultants. I spoke with a few of the highest-rated consultants but the level of comfort I felt after my conversation with Harshad stood out. Considering the genuineness of the conversation with Harshad, I decided to work with him.
Coming from a highly overrepresented demographic, I was worried about standing out as an applicant. Harshad understood my story very well and helped me bring out my uniqueness and my strengths. There were many occasions when I was satisfied with my content but Harshad felt we could do better and pushed me to submit the best possible application. Harshad’s style of reviewing documents and giving feedback is highly organized and this ensured that we stayed highly productive at all times. Harshad’s turnaround time was excellent throughout the process and he made sure we stayed on track throughout the process and submitted all the applications before the deadlines. Later, Harshad also took my mock interviews for all the schools from where I was invited for the interview and this helped me build further confidence before my interview day.
As a result, I got into one of my dream schools. I am sure that I couldn’t submit such high-quality applications without Harshad’s help. I am really grateful to him for being a partner in my MBA applications journey.
At first, I was very hesitant to work with a consultant on my MBA applications, however, I believe that one of the best decisions I made during my application journey is working with Katy!
Katy takes admissions consulting to the next level and goes the extra mile for her clients. Not only did she help me brainstorm ideas and recall impactful events for my story, she had me look at myself from another perspective, deeply connect with my passions and interests, and be a much more optimistic person.
I purchased the two-school package with Katy, and for both schools Katy put in a significant effort with me through hours of calls and emails, answering my questions diligently and uplifting my spirits whenever I had any doubts or whenever I felt anxious. On top of that, Katy never failed to add value by providing unmatched insights on the various aspects of the application process from school picking to interview preparation.
I am very grateful for Katy’s help and I am very lucky to have met and worked with her. I would advise those who are looking for an MBA admissions consultant to definitely consider working with Katy. Working with Katy has changed my life. It could change yours.
Katy was my MBA consultant for the start-to-finish package. I applied in 2021 round 1 at HBS, Wharton, Columbia, Booth, and Berkeley Haas. I got admitted by HBS, Wharton, Columbia, and Berkeley Haas (waitlisted by Booth), with one school offering an almost full-ride scholarship. Given that I came from the most overrepresented population and did my undergrad outside the U.S., I’m really impressed by the glowing results. Katy was helpful in every step of the way – from strategic planning to brainstorming my story, to fine-tuning the essays, all the way to the interview prep. She was my biggest supporter and cheerleader through the long application season. Could not have done this without her!
Diving into the MBA Application Process can be daunting. There are so many different parts of the application (GMAT / GRE, recommendations letter, essays…) that it is easy to get lost in the middle of it. However, having Jessica there to guide me made everything much more manageable and made my efforts much more effective. I had a million questions all the time, and Jessica always had an answer ready for each one of them. Jessica is extremely knowledgeable and inspires confidence. I am very happy to have worked with her and learned from her, and strongly urge anyone thinking about applying to an MBA to do the same.
A long-time friend recommended me having an initial consultation with Katy Lewis. After just a 30 min video chat, I was amazed by how easily she was able to precisely analyze my strengths and weaknesses leading to the round 1 application. She was upfront with her opinions, but at the same time kind and thoughtful. After interviewing with more than 6 top advisors, I decided to start working with Katy. I came in with high, almost surreal aspirations. I always dreamt of attending Harvard or Stanford, but being a Latin American coming from a non-traditional background made me think I might be targeting too high.
After weeks of introspection and tailoring my story in a thoughtful and genuine manner, we decided to target 6 schools for my first round application: Stanford, Harvard, MIT, Wharton, LBS and Booth.
I ended up receiving interview invitations from ALL 6 schools. The guidelines and frameworks provided helped me deliver successfully and confidently in all 6 interviews. Trust me when I tell you that her direct and experienced approach towards framing your story is key to succeeding in both the essays and the interview process. I could continue praising Katy’s kindness, thoughtfulness and experienced voice all day, but results speak for themselves. I received an offer to each school I applied to, and ended up deciding between Harvard and Stanford. I will finally be joining Stanford GSB’s class of 2024 next term, and I seriously wouldn’t be in the position I’m currently in if it weren’t for Katy!! 1000% recommended if you are serious about getting to a top MBA program!
Katy is an incredibly thoughtful and patient thought partner on what can be a painful and long MBA application journey. She helped me craft a meaningful and personalized story, weaving my passion for social impact with my experience in consulting in South-East Asia. Given the tight timeline to Round 1 applications, she went the extra mile and conducted weekly catch-ups to brainstorm new builds and provide answers to my long list of questions. Without her support and guidance, I wouldn’t have made it to Wharton!
Devi did a great job tailoring the experience to my needs and personality. It was clear that she doesn’t have a prescribed formula for each candidate and she gave me what I needed to succeed. She really took the time to get to know me and we quickly established a strong relationship. We worked together to create a cadence and communication style that allowed us to cruise through four applications rather seamlessly. She was great at maintaining a balance – on the one hand offering support and empathy, while on the other challenging me when needed. She helped me gain confidence when talking about my long and short-term goals and write actionable plans to achieve them. She also pushed me to own my accomplishments in my applications and made sure that I didn’t sell myself short at any point. I highly recommend working with Devi!
In the run up to my HBS interview, I decided to work with Devi (we did three mock interviews together in total) – and I am so pleased that I did. I did a number of mock interviews with friends / colleagues, but they did not replicate the intensity and pace of the real HBS interview in the same way that Devi’s mocks did. When it came to the real thing, I was so much more comfortable and prepared than I would have been without her help, and ultimately I feel that this was a factor in successfully passing the interview and gaining admission. Thank you, Devi!
I’m so happy that I worked with Kate in the MBA application process. She was an excellent source of support and guidance as I worked to get my applications together, and was particularly helpful in crafting my personal essays. It’s a testament to her abilities as a counselor that I was admitted to multiple M7 programs including my top choice.
I can’t sing Katy’s praise highly enough. I have absolutely zero regrets in choosing to go with mbaMission and working with Katy. Not only did she help me find my voice and identify particularly resonating stories to share with admissions, but she is also a world-class listener, absolutely devoted to her clients, and a joy to spend time with. MBA admissions can be quite stressful but Katy’s organized, structured, sympathetic approach made the entire process far less stressful.
Kate was so helpful throughout my application process. Her communication style is very direct, clear, and thorough. Anytime I asked a question feeling totally lost she was able to put me at ease by sharing her experiences and providing her recommendations. Having Kate help edit my application essays made me feel extremely confident in the topics and structure because her feedback was targeted, specific, and always constructive. She supported me from applications, through interviews, final acceptances, and scholarship negotiations. There was never a question she didn’t have an answer to, and she was a joy to work with overall!
I’m the first in my family to apply for an MBA so I relied on Kate for reassurance throughout the process. I applied to 5 schools and with an OK undergrad GPA and a pretty good GMAT score, I believe it was the strength of my application essays that helped me get into all 5 schools. Thank you, Kate!
I worked with Susan on 4 schools, targeting a Round 1 deadline (and only starting ~2 months ahead of deadlines). Susan was an incredible partner in guiding me through a daunting process.
Susan did a fantastic job in pushing me to put forth my best to really enhance my applications. She was always extremely punctual with her feedback on my essays and other deliverables. Her feedback would be tough at times, but it was exactly what I needed to really excel in the process. She was able to pair her knowledge on each of the programs with my story and background to help craft a great narrative for each of the schools I applied to. I really appreciated her effort to truly get to know me in order to provide the best personalized counseling for my process.
Finishing all of my applications in such a short time frame was difficult, and I know I wouldn’t have been able to do it without Susan. But with her help, I was admitted to HBS, Wharton, Booth, and Kellogg. I am very grateful to have worked with Susan throughout this process, and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a consultant.
Throughout the application season, Melissa made herself available to help me with any aspect of the application that I felt uncertain about. She was always able to sense my uncertainty and provide immediate advice and feedback.
At the start of our partnership, Melissa made sure that she understood my perspectives through countless emails and calls. Not only did she take in all my stories A-Z, but also helped immensely in shaping them to convey my strengths across applications.
It never felt like a bother whenever I wanted to ask Melissa for her opinions, rather she was always happy to extend her services to me. She consistently ensured that I was content with all essay responses and that they felt authentic. Overall, her willingness to triple-check all application components and revisit any aspects I may have changed allowed for a genuine application that I felt confident in and content with.
During interview rounds, Melissa provided very thorough prep sessions that covered all bases from response timing to structure. She helped me prep for each program individually and always asked how I felt after sets of questions – willingly devoting more of her time to helping me.
Overall, Melissa was exceedingly supportive of my thoughts. She took in every idea I had and helped me develop them into well-formed responses. I certainly recommend her services – best partnership I’ve had!
When looking into consultants almost a year before starting my application, I knew I wanted to work with Katy based on her stellar reviews. Fast forward to the end of my application season, and I am so happy to have had her on my side throughout the process.
I had high hopes for the advice she could provide about the process given her background in admissions and her time as an MBA consultant. She blew these expectations away with her ability to draw on her experiences and reference past anecdotes of other clients or applications that she read. I had complete faith in her and it was such a relief to not overthink things in an already stressful process!
What left an even greater impression was how much fun I truly had working with Katy. I very much looked forward to our conversations and am now even missing them as my process has wrapped up! As other reviewers have mentioned, in a short time Katy got to know me as well as my closest friends, and she was really able to dissect my “story” and hone in on what motivates me and what my passions are. This goes beyond my applications and has given me a clearer sense of where I want my career to go.
I applied to a handful of top schools with Katy, and am now narrowed down to deciding between a Wharton acceptance and a Stanford waitlist (in addition to some other admits). Katy was instrumental to my success and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
Don’t think twice about working with her!
