Katharine Lewis was instrumental in my MBA application process, and I cannot recommend her highly enough. Coming from a traditional background in investment banking and private equity, I initially struggled to differentiate my story, but Katharine pushed me to take thoughtful risks, lean into my genuine passions, and craft a narrative that was both authentic and compelling. Her ability to identify what truly sets a candidate apart is exceptional, and her guidance helped me translate my experiences into a clear, differentiated story that resonated with admissions committees. Beyond her sharp instincts as an advisor, Katharine brings a deep understanding of the process, informed by her time at Harvard Business School, her experience on the Stanford GSB admissions committee, and her service on several higher education boards at prestigious institutions, which gives her a unique perspective on how these schools evaluate candidates. Her feedback was consistently insightful, candid, and highly actionable. I am confident that I would not have achieved the same outcomes, admission to Stanford, Harvard, and Wharton, without her support.
I worked with Nisha as my MBA consultant, and she had a meaningful impact on my application journey. From the start, she brought a clear, strategic approach while still making the process feel personal and reflective. She consistently pushed me to go deeper, helping me move beyond surface-level answers and really articulate my story in a way that felt authentic and compelling.
Her feedback was always thoughtful, direct, and actionable, and she struck the perfect balance between guiding me and letting my own voice come through. She was also incredibly organized and responsive, which made a stressful process feel much more manageable.
I’m really grateful for her support throughout this journey. I was ultimately admitted to Stanford Graduate School of Business, and she played a meaningful role in helping me get there. I would highly recommend her to anyone applying to business school.
I worked with Devi for two coaching sessions and was admitted to HBS. The insights I gained also had a positive impact on my Stanford and Wharton interviews, and I was fortunate to be admitted to both.
1. I would strongly recommend doing at least two sessions with her.
This is not meant as a promotion. It is honestly based on my experience. The first session helped me understand where my gaps were, and the second session became much more productive because I had time to reflect, do the homework, and come back with a clearer sense of my story. For me, the second session was where a lot of the value really came through.
2. HBS interview prep can feel like it covers everything, but Devi helped me prioritize.
By that stage, many parts of your profile (work, leadership, extracurriculars, hobbies) are already reflected across your application. What becomes difficult is knowing what to actually go deeper on. Devi helped me identify what mattered “most” from an admissions perspective, which made my preparation much more focused and efficient.
3. She helped me structure one of the most daunting parts of the HBS process: industry knowledge and context.
This was especially helpful for me. Because we are often so familiar with our own background, it can actually be hard to explain what is most important about it. Devi helped me put structure around my industry context and understand which angles were actually worth emphasizing. That gave me much more clarity and saved me a lot of time.
4. She is also extremely professional and genuinely invested in helping you improve.
What I appreciated most was that she was honest and clear in her feedback. She brings both expertise and a real sense of purpose to the work. If this were a team draft, I would absolutely want to work with someone like Devi—someone who is direct, experienced, and clearly motivated by helping applicants grow, which really came through in our sessions.
Working with Katy was the best decision I made in my MBA journey. She was not just a consultant to me, but also a mentor, a guide, and, over the course of the process, truly a friend.
When I started this journey, as a male consultant based in the Middle East, I knew I came from an overrepresented background and was struggling with what I thought was the hardest part of the application process: understanding what actually made me stand out. I had worked on many different things over the years, cared deeply about a wide range of topics, and honestly felt a bit paralyzed by all the possible angles I could take. I was not sure how to piece together the last 10 years of my life into a story that felt coherent, authentic, and compelling.
That is where Katy was exceptional. More than anyone else I spoke to, she immediately understood my profile, my context, and the questions I needed to answer. What stood out to me from the beginning was not just her experience, but her ability to quickly identify both the strengths in my profile and the areas that would need sharper positioning. She helped me proactively tackle those early on, which gave me confidence that I was approaching the process in the right way.
What Katy does better than anyone is help you make sense of your own story. She has an incredible ability to piece together all the elements of your life — experiences, choices, motivations, values, and ambitions — into a narrative that truly reflects who you are and what you stand for. After reading through pages and pages of brainstorming material and asking me thoughtful, deeply personalized questions, she helped me distill the last decade of my life into a clear and meaningful story. It was not a superficial exercise or a polished admissions version of myself. It genuinely felt like she helped me uncover the thread that had always been there but that I had never been able to articulate on my own.
What made this even more impactful was that she pushed me to think much more deeply about my current and future choices. She did not just help me package a story for applications. She helped me better understand myself, what drives me, and what I wanted next. That level of commitment made the experience feel far more meaningful than a standard consulting engagement. She was deeply invested not just in the output, but in my growth throughout the process.
She also completely demystified the admissions process for me. Coming in, a lot of it felt opaque and intimidating: what mattered, what did not, what schools were really looking for, how to approach recommendations, and how much to worry about details I thought might hurt me. Katy brought clarity to all of that. She made the process feel understandable, structured, and manageable. Instead of adding pressure, she consistently reduced it. She always knew when to zoom out and give me the big picture, and when to go deep on the details that actually mattered.
Her essay strategy was also outstanding. I came into the process worried because I do not naturally see myself as a strong writer. I come from a STEM background, English is not my first language, and I had never gone through the kind of application process that demands such a high level of introspection and personal storytelling. Katy made that feel completely manageable. She directed me to focus on getting the big pieces out first without overthinking them, and then worked with me to refine, structure, and cut strategically. That approach was incredibly empowering. It allowed me to write more freely, without getting stuck, and then shape the material into something clear and compelling. She even reviewed the personal questions and smaller parts of the applications with the same care and seriousness as the main essays.
What I appreciated most was how committed she was to preserving my voice. She showed genuine curiosity about my background and perspective, and consistently encouraged me to lean into that rather than trying to sound like what I imagined MBA applicants were supposed to sound like. She helped me become a stronger storyteller without ever making my essays feel manufactured or generic. For someone who had always doubted his writing, that was incredibly confidence-building.
The entire process with Katy was also remarkably clear and structured. Even though I was managing a very demanding and unpredictable work schedule and only started working with her about three months before the Round 2 deadline, everything felt seamless. She laid out the process in a way that made it manageable, kept me focused on the right priorities, and made sure I was always moving forward. By the end, I had all of my materials ready a week before the submission deadlines, which I honestly would not have thought possible at the start.
What really stood out was how hands-on she was from beginning to end. Katy is with you through every single step. She helps you craft your story, write and edit essays, develop guidance for recommenders, speak with them, prepare for interviews, and check in on you as a person throughout the process. I never felt like I was going through this alone. Despite a 12-hour time difference, she was always there when I needed her. At one point, she even woke up at 5 a.m. her time to review my HBS post-interview reflection. That level of commitment says everything about how invested she is in her clients. Her mock interviews were equally exceptional. They were incredibly helpful and highly representative of the actual experience. I walked into my interviews feeling genuinely prepared because so many of the questions had already come up in our sessions.
Most importantly, Katy is sharp, intuitive, caring, and deeply invested. She makes you feel supported, encouraged, and confident, while also pushing you to think harder and go deeper. She brings out the best in people and is truly committed to their growth.
With Katy’s help, I received interview invites from Harvard, Stanford, and Wharton, and ultimately got into and committed to Stanford GSB, my dream school. None of this would have been possible without her. I would recommend Katy without hesitation to any applicant, and especially to those who feel they come from an overrepresented background or are struggling to find the real story that sets them apart.
After connecting with Debbie, I knew that she was the consultant for me. More specifically, her friendliness, perceptiveness, and process oriented nature truly struck me. During the months we worked together, she did a superb job collaborating with me to develop a coherent story for all of my schools, making sure we highlighted my strengths and proactively defend against any weaknesses in my application. In the end, I applied to several M7 schools and was accepted to all but one. I can’t recommend her enough.
Devi is outstanding when it comes to HBS interview preparation. Her insights are exceptional, and she challenged me to refine how I structure my stories and improve my delivery. If you’re interviewing for HBS, I highly recommend working with Devi.
I worked with Devi on the comprehensive package for my HBS and Stanford GSB applications, and was admitted to HBS in Round 1. She helped me with everything from early brainstorming to essay review to mock interviews.
What I valued most about Devi was her clarity of thought. She has a sharp eye for what admissions committees are actually looking for, and she’s not afraid to tell you when something isn’t working. She pushed me hard during mock interviews; my first session was honestly humbling, but the feedback was always specific and actionable. By the time I walked into my real interview, I knew exactly how to show up.
The whole process ended up being deeply introspective in a way I didn’t expect. Devi helped me get much clearer about my own story, not by telling me what to say, but by asking the right questions until I found it myself. I could not have gotten into HBS without her.
Would highly recommend, especially if HBS is your top choice as it was for me.
I had an incredible experience working with Susan throughout the application process. From the very beginning, she was instrumental in helping me shape my story and present the strongest possible version of myself. Her insight and attention to detail made a huge difference in the quality of my applications.
She also made the interview process feel incredibly seamless, providing clear guidance and tailored feedback.
Beyond the applications themselves, she really showed up for me as a mentor. She knew when to push me to improve and when to offer support.
I’m truly grateful for Susan’s support and would highly recommend her to anyone navigating the MBA journey.
I had such a great experience working with Katy and cannot recommend her highly enough! She was instrumental in my admission to both HBS and GSB. She made the entire process far less stressful and saved me a ton of second-guessing on how to go about putting my materials together. She was always available, incredibly responsive, and extremely generous with her time. Katy knew exactly how to position my international background and biotech experience, and she took the time to deeply understand who I am as a person so that my applications truly reflected me. She demystified the admissions process and is also such fun to work with! I truly could not have done this without her!
I did three interviews with Devi and it was worth every penny. There’s nothing more important than the right interview prep. When I got to the interview, I was able to be confident because I knew I was prepared.
I wanted to work with Devi for 2 reasons: 1. I (like many MBA applicants) work in finance & had limited time and no clear starting point/major differentiating factor for the application & 2. my writing skills were rusty, making it difficult to articulate my story in a compelling way.
I worked with Devi throughout the full application process. She went through 12+ drafts with me for the first essay we tackled, pushing for clarity and depth by asking me questions about what I was writing until the narrative truly felt like me. It wasn’t easy, but that rigor made a meaningful difference and really helped me authentically speak to experiences in my essays and also reduced the amount of interview prep I needed because I already had a clear narrative.
Her help went beyond essays. She talked with my recommenders about how they should think about writing a MBA LoR vs. the general letters they were used to. Even after being waitlisted, Devi was instrumental in asking me the right questions to help me craft a thoughtful and genuine update that reflected both my growth & my continued interest.
If you want someone to hold your hand and baby you throughout the process, don’t hire Devi. But if you want someone who will challenge you, be direct, and push you to produce your best work under tight timelines, then Devi is the perfect consultant for you.
Can’t thank Devi enough for all her help throughout this process!
I worked with Devi over multiple sessions to prepare for my MBA interviews, and the impact was transformative.
Devi doesn’t just “prep you for interviews”—she teaches you how to think and communicate like a business leader. I would highly recommend her to anyone serious about performing at a high level in MBA interviews.
Before working together, I had strong experiences but struggled to communicate them clearly. I tended to over-index on technical detail without translating that into clear business impact. Devi identified this immediately and pushed me to fundamentally reframe how I told my story.
What stood out most was her ability to diagnose root issues with precision. For example she helped me shift from explaining analysis to communicating decisions, trade-offs, and outcomes.
Her feedback was extremely direct but always grounded in helping me improve quickly. Every session was dense with actionable insight—I would leave with very specific things to fix, and in the next session we would pressure test them in real time.
By the time the actual interview came, I felt noticeably more structured, more confident, and much sharper in how I communicated both strategy and impact.
Devi was instrumental in the success of my MBA application journey.
Gavriella is truly amazing and extremely understanding. I reached out to Gavriella out of pure desperation for help with my MBA applications and we hit the ground running. She was very intentional with her questions and helped with crafting a story that MBA admission boards would love. She replies right away and I knew I was in great hands once we started meeting. She kept me organized and helped me reach my goals even with all the pressure from work. Consultants can be another cost, but a consultant like Gavriella is priceless! I will be recommending Gavriella to anyone looking to pursue their graduate goals and I can not thank her enough.
I was referred to Jen through a current MBA student and could not have had a better experience. From the beginning she was incredibly informative and organized. The MBA application process can be very stressful with a ton of moving parts so having an expert to guide me throughout was invaluable. I really appreciated how quickly she gave feedback on all deliverables and could tell how invested she was in my success. She also went out of her way to connect me with a GMAT tutor and helped guide me through that process as well. I am certain I was accepted into my dream program due to her help!
Working with Susan throughout my business school application process was truly invaluable and I would not have been able to do it without her! She provided thoughtful guidance on my essays, helping me refine my ideas while still making sure my voice came through clearly. Her edits and feedback made my applications significantly stronger and more compelling. She worked quickly and thoroughly and was extremely responsive, even during the busy time surrounding application deadlines.
Beyond the essays, Susan also provided excellent interview preparation materials and guidance that helped me feel confident and well prepared going into each interview. She took the time to answer my many questions throughout the process – whether about the schools themselves, the application process, or the GMAT.
Susan was a lifesaver as I navigated this complicated process and I am so grateful to have had her in my corner. I felt like she truly had my back and was my absolute go-to resource throughout the process. I highly recommend her to anyone applying to business school!
Devi Vallabhaneni supported my preparation for the Harvard Business School interview. Her approach was practical and focused on how the interview actually works. She first clarified what the interview is testing: honest reflection and clear structure. That shifted how I prepared. Across two mocks, she pushed me to go deeper into my experiences and remove vague answers. One specific thing that helped was how she consistently questioned the “why” behind what I was saying. Not just what I did, but the deeper why behind it and why it mattered. This pushed me to get to the underlying truth and then express it crisply. In the second mock, she was especially effective in tightening structure. Her follow-up questions exposed gaps and helped me organize responses so they were concise and easy to follow. The mocks were high-signal. Each session led to specific changes in how I framed my stories and handled probing questions. Her guidance improved both my preparation and my in-interview execution exponentially. Devi has a very strong role to play in me getting admitted into HBS and she has stayed engaged in my journey beyond the mocks as well. Devi combined sharp feedback with consistent support, which made a clear difference to my preparation.
Devi was instrumental in helping me prepare for my HBS interview. She approached the process with the same level of seriousness and commitment that I did, diving deep into nuances and consistently pushing me to refine my thoughts and presentation in ways I would not have achieved on my own.
What sets her apart is her ability to balance insight with empathy. She is both kind and patient throughout the process. Rather than imposing a generic one-size-fits-all template, she focuses on helping you uncover and shape your own authentic story, and present it with clarity and impact. That personalised approach made all the difference.
I am so glad that I worked with Devi!
Working with Gavi was one of the best decisions I made throughout this entire process. What sets her apart is how deeply she invests in understanding you. Not just your resume or career goals, but your why. Through our conversations, she helped me uncover motivations I hadn’t even fully articulated to myself. That level of thoughtfulness shaped how I approached every aspect of the application.
Gavi’s guidance with my essays was spectacular. She has a rare ability to understand your voice and perspective, and she made sure I came through authentically in every piece of writing. Nothing felt generic or formulaic; it genuinely felt like my story being told in the best possible way.
Gavi was incredibly supportive through my testing challenges: I had to take the GRE three times. That was a grueling experience, and staying motivated through it was hard. Gavi was a steady, encouraging presence throughout. She helped me stay focused, and just as importantly, she pushed me to take breaks when I needed them, something I really struggled to do on my own.
That same encouragement carried into the waiting period, which was its own kind of difficult. When self-doubt crept in, Gavi consistently reminded me to trust myself and have confidence in the application we had built together. This was something I genuinely needed to hear and couldn’t always tell myself.
Her warmth and easy-going nature made every step of this process feel like a true partnership. I can’t recommend her highly enough!
Melissa was an outstanding consultant throughout my entire MBA application process. I worked with her on all my applications from brainstorming and refining essays to interview prep and even reviewing my post-interview thank-you emails.
What stood out most about Melissa was how invested she was in my success. She provided detailed, thoughtful feedback on every essay draft I sent her, and her edits consistently elevated my writing while keeping my authentic voice. When I received interview invitations, Her prep made a real difference. I felt confident and well-prepared walking into both interviews.
Melissa was also incredibly responsive and proactive. She regularly checked in on my progress, followed up on pending applications, and shared strategic advice on things like application timelines and how different schools handle their admissions process. She genuinely cared about my outcomes and was always just an email away when I had questions.
If you’re looking for a consultant who will be a real partner in your MBA journey, someone who is thorough, encouraging, and deeply knowledgeable about top programs, Melissa is the one.
Rachel really went above and beyond. She offered vital support from start to finish and made incredibly crucial recommendations at every step, with a perfect combination of firm guidance and warmth. She created the ideal space for me to express my thoughts freely and comfortably, while constantly challenging and motivating me to bring our my best. Rachel is an incredible storyteller who really knows how to help you structure your thoughts, pick your best ideas, and shape them into catchy stories. She had the patience to go through edits over and over again until I had the perfect stories, stories I was really proud to submit. She let my personality shine through and embraced my particularities. It was amazing to see how naturally she shared my enthusiasm for my application and how fully committed she was to helping me get in. At no point did our interaction feel transactional and at no point did I feel alone in the application process. She answered quickly every single time and always with thoughtful and detailed responses. Every conversation with her felt energizing. When I got accepted into my dream-school (one of the M7), I immediately contacted her to say “we did it!” because I know I couldn’t have done this without her mentorship. She made a challenging lonely process feel genuinely enjoyable and interactive. I have so much respect for her!
I am an international applicant from Latin America and I was applying to program-specific graduate degrees, not a traditional MBA. I honestly was not sure if a consultant would even be that helpful for my situation since most of them focus on MBA applications. But Gavriella was different. From the first call she really understood what my programs were looking for and she adapted her whole approach to that. She helped me with everything from essays to strategy and in the end I got accepted to both Harvard and Columbia which I still can not believe.
Susan was a truly exceptional partner throughout the MBA application process. It is without question that my acceptances to HBS, GSB and Wharton were in large part attributable to her guidance and expertise. She is thoughtful, knowledgeable and extremely well-versed in how to frame the most effective and impactful story in an application. Her approach is holistic and ensures that every single piece of your story hangs together in the best possible way.
I would also note that if you are coming from megafund private equity Susan is a no-brainer choice for a consultant. She has vast experience working with this applicant pool and knows what is required to reach the top programs.
Most importantly, Susan will not let you off the hook (in the best possible way). If you are applying to a top program, you cannot give 90% effort to any portion of the application. Susan provided the necessary guidance, advice and structure to ensure that every thing I submitted was to the best of my ability. And, she did it in a thoughtful and kind manner. For me, that is the mark of a true mentor, and ultimately a lifelong friend.
I unequivocally recommend Susan to anyone applying to an MBA program.
I highly recommend Devi for HBS interview prep. Thanks to our work together, my stories were tight, and I walked into my interview feeling completely prepared and confident. Devi strikes the perfect balance of being tough but patient. She is a true professional who brings an invaluable HBS perspective while genuinely caring about your success. I am thrilled to say I was admitted.
Devi was great – she deeply understands the MBA application process across many schools and knows what truly matters. She is very candid in her feedback and what needs to get done. She is a good decision maker when you give her content and not sure what you should use. The most valuable experience of all was her HBS mock interview – I couldn’t imagine going into that interview without an hour session with her. Helped immensely and know what I was walking into
I did a mock interview with Devi while preparing for my HBS interview. Looking back now after being admitted, I truly feel that session made a critical difference.
For years I had been used to speaking like a salesperson — polished, but not very natural. In the interview, that style doesn’t work. Devi caught that immediately and helped me shift toward a more genuine and conversational way of answering.
I did several other mock interviews during my preparation, but most of them ended with fairly general and soft feedback. Devi’s session was different. Her feedback was direct, specific, and actionable — and pointed out things I had never even realized about the way I was presenting myself.
If you want a mock interview that actually helps you improve — not just encouragement — I highly recommend working with Devi.
I worked with Devi Vallabhaneni during my MBA application process and could not recommend her more highly. Her guidance was one of the most impactful factors in helping me gain admission to my first-choice MBA program.
From the very beginning, Devi approached the process with an exceptional level of structure and insight. She helped me refine my personal story, clarify my career narrative, and identify the experiences that truly differentiated my profile. What impressed me most was her ability to push me to go deeper in my essays—she didn’t allow generic answers and consistently challenged me to reflect on the “why” behind my goals and experiences.
Devi was also incredibly strategic about positioning my application. She provided detailed feedback on essays, helped me shape my overall narrative across schools, and ensured that every part of my application (from essays to recommendations) was cohesive and authentic. Her edits were thoughtful and precise, often transforming good essays into compelling ones.
Beyond the technical aspects of the application, Devi was extremely supportive throughout what can be a very stressful process. She was responsive, honest, and clearly invested in my success.
Thanks to her guidance, I was admitted to my top-choice MBA program, and I genuinely believe my application would not have been nearly as strong without her mentorship. I would strongly recommend Devi to anyone applying to competitive MBA programs who wants a consultant that is strategic, thoughtful, and deeply committed to helping applicants succeed.
Gavriella is such a caring and thoughtful person combined with being a highly experienced admissions consultant. Thanks to her, I will be attending HBS in the fall! I definitely would not have been able to do it without her. From the very beginning, I felt confident I was in great hands. She supported me through every step of the process, from studying for the GMAT to thinking deeply about how to frame and articulate my story. Gavriella truly has a special talent for teasing out small ideas and shaping them into a cohesive narrative. She kept me on track throughout the entire process and was always available to answer my questions thoughtfully and honestly. The pricing for admissions consultants can be daunting at first, but working with Gavriella was worth every penny. Could not recommend her enough!!
I had the immense pleasure and privilege of working with Jen throughout my admission journey to the Cambridge MBA, and I could not be more grateful, satisfied, and happy with the support I received. Coming from a non-traditional background in the arts and opera world, Jen incredibly helped me position my profile in the right way by helping me reshape my story in an authentic and compelling manner, emphasizing the most important and distinctive elements and highlighting what truly differentiated me. Jen’s deep knowledge of the entire application process was fundamental at every stage. She provided decisive support in the development and revision of my essays and CV, ensuring that every word was intentional, impactful, and aligned with my overall narrative. Her feedback and revisions were always brilliant, precise, forward-thinking, elegant, and extremely helpful. The interview simulations I did with her were also of fundamental importance. All the brainstorming sessions we had, with her guidance, led me to a much greater clarity and precision about my future goals, which made me even happier and more fulfilled beyond the admission itself. Jen was available and patient at all times. She worked with me tirelessly and always with kindness and empathy, even in the most complex and demanding moments. She worked with passion, dedication, and rare professionalism, guiding me through every stage, constantly encouraging me and treating me with great sensitivity. The support I received from MBAmission, and from Jen in particular, far exceeded my expectations. She was a solid, reliable, and invaluable presence from start to finish, at every moment. I recommend MBAmission without any hesitation. As far as I am concerned, Jen was simply extraordinary.
Kate was a paragon MBA Admissions Consultant for me. From helping me draw out my past personal/professional experiences to establishing roadmap timelines to stay on track with each school’s deadline, Kate was the perfect partner to help me navigate my MBA application process. She makes every effort to understand more about each client and consistently goes above and beyond client expectations. She is kind, detail-oriented, and incredibly knowledgeable about school offerings, culture, finances, academics, and more. I’m very grateful I chose to work with Kate during my application process and highly recommend her to aspiring applicants!
Working with Gavriella was the best decision I made during this application process. Coming into it, I was nervous that I didn’t have enough leadership experience at work or other qualities that would make me stand out from other applicants. But Gavriella did an amazing job in taking different parts of my life/career and figuring out how I could craft them into a story to answer all the essay prompts. She is also an incrediblle editor, and was able to take my long-winded first drafts into concise essay responses. She was also vital in keeping me on track and setting deadlines for all deliverables from finalizing resume to reaching out to recommenders. More importantly, Gavriella was extremely kind and supportive throughout the entire process, particularly in calming my nerves prior to interviews. Thanks to I got interviews to all of the schools I applied to, and I will be attending one of my top-3 schools in the fall. Can’t recommend working with her enough!
I had an excellent experience working with Harold, who played a key role in helping me gain admission to Cambridge Judge Business School. Harold helped me clarify my story, sharpen my career narrative, and present my experiences in a way that felt authentic while still being highly competitive. I would highly recommend Harold to anyone applying to top-tier MBA programs.
Working with Gavriella was an amazing experience. From the first meeting, she showed she truly cared and went the extra mile to make me feel confident in my application and prepared for the interviews!
Coming out of the military, I knew translating my resume and stories was going to be difficult. Gavriella was a game-changer in showcasing what matters to application committees and helping me understand how to highlight and explain aspects of my job. Cannot recommend enough!
Working with Jessica Shklar was one of the best decisions I made during the MBA application process. From our very first consultation, I knew she was someone who truly understood how to bring out the best in an applicant.
I came from a non target school in Middle America and had what felt like a sporadic and unconventional set of academic and career experiences that did not fit neatly into a traditional applicant mold. On top of that, I come from a very traditional and overrepresented background in investment banking and private equity, and I also had a below average test score. What Jessica did so well was help me step back and see my own story differently. She was able to connect the dots across my experiences and shape them into a clear and compelling narrative. More importantly, she helped me uncover the deeper motivations and themes behind my decisions that I had never fully articulated myself. That process not only made my applications stronger, it helped me better understand my own mission.
I also had a very demanding work schedule, and Jessica was a major help in keeping me on track and making sure I hit every deadline. She was incredibly responsive, thoughtful, and proactive. I always felt like I had a true partner in the process who cared deeply about the outcome and was fully invested in my success.
With her guidance, I was fortunate to be admitted to HBS, Wharton, Tuck, and Kellogg, along with receiving scholarship support.
I cannot recommend Jessica highly enough. She helped turn what felt like a daunting and uncertain process into one of the most meaningful and rewarding experiences of my career.
I cannot recommend Susan highly enough. She was an incredible partner throughout my entire MBA application process, and I truly don’t think I would have been admitted to my top choice school without her guidance and support.
Susan is patient, thoughtful, and an excellent listener. She has a rare ability to pull meaningful insights from small details and help craft them into a clear, compelling narrative. She was not only invaluable with my essays, but also helped me think critically about my future goals during a time when my career direction felt unclear.
She supported me through every part of the process — essays, interviews, video submissions, deferral updates, and scholarship negotiation — and was always extremely responsive and a pleasure to work with. What once felt like a confusing black box became a clear and manageable journey thanks to Susan. I am deeply grateful for her support and would strongly encourage anyone considering an MBA consultant to work with her.
As an applicant from a non-traditional background, Katharine seamlessly allowed me to translate my experiences into compelling stories that anyone could understand. I had an abundance of content to pull from for my essays and applications, and as a result, I had “analysis paralysis” as to which unique parts of my background to emphasize. Katharine was an incredible sounding board and her decades of experience directly enabled me to succeed in this process. Later, when it came for interview preparation, Katharine went above and beyond. She provided me with individualized coaching, kept me grounded amongst the angst, and provided me pointed and much needed feedback on how to frame my stories and experiences. I am so beyond thankful to have worked with her during this process, and if you are a candidate with lots of content to pull from based on having lived a full life, she will help you bridge the gap!
From the very first second we met, I realized Susan would be more than a transactional aid during what turned out to be a tough year. The MBA process is personal, taxing, demanding, yet also exciting, explorative, energizing, an inspirational. Susan was there alongside her students every single step of the way through each one of those emotions. Although I was certain what I wanted out of a school, I was not as assured as to my school list nor my odds of getting into said schools, but Susan was confident and knowledgeable throughout it all, and she helped me get into each and every school. Whether it was frantic midnight emails or celebratory notes, she is there to help you throughout the process.
Susan truly made what felt like the impossible possible and kept me sane through it all. From connecting me to students and guiding me through the exam types to exhaustive interview prep, she did not miss a detail. I cannot thank her enough for her unwavering support, warmth, and guidance. Could not recommend more!
Working with Katy throughout the entire application process was truly the most delightful experience. She wasn’t just a consultant—she quickly became my sounding board and the most enthusiastically supportive mentor. From the get-go, she actively listened and helped me craft a cohesive, unique story that truly differentiated me as an individual.
I felt like we were on one team together, aligned in our vision, strategy, and energy to deliver the best application possible. Even during times of inevitable anxiety and stress, she was such a calm and reassuring presence; she helped me stay focused and carry out the work with confidence. Her know-how—from which school or essay to tackle first and how to make my voice shine, to reaching out to recommenders and preparing for interviews (HBS, MIT, Wharton)—was invaluable. These are insights I don’t think you can gain anywhere else.
I can’t recommend Katy enough! It is so clear that she deeply cares for each of her clients, and I cannot imagine going through this process with anyone else. I am super excited to head to Wharton this Fall with a scholarship! Thanks, Katy!
Katy Lewis is in a league of her own. I was admitted to Stanford GSB, an outcome I truly believe I could never have achieved without her. From our very first conversation a few years ago, her insight, strategy, and genuine investment in my success set her apart from every other consultant I considered.
What truly sets Katy apart is how far she goes for her clients. She’s not just an admissions expert: She’s deeply dedicated to long-term success. She guided my career thinking from my college days through to this application cycle, and even encouraged me to wait a year before applying – advice that proved invaluable. I don’t know anyone else in this space who is more invested in their clients’ futures.
Katy is a master at uncovering one’s unique, personalized story. She spent the time to really understand me and my experiences, many of which seemed disparate at first glance. She identified powerful themes that connected them all, turning seemingly unrelated decisions and moments into a cohesive, compelling narrative that showcased my authentic self. Her ability to weave these pieces together is nothing short of a masterclass in storytelling. She is a world class strategist and tactician.
Katy supported me throughout the entire process. I had thought interview prep might be where things tapered off, but Katy was with me every step, providing thoughtful mock interviews, strategic advice, and encouragement that kept me grounded and confident. She helped me approach the process with clarity and poise.
Above all, Katy strikes an incredible balance: she’s candid and pragmatic, always realistic about challenges and weaknesses, yet relentlessly positive and encouraging. She’s an exceptional strategist and tactician who pushes you to do your absolute best while making you feel supported and believed in.
Thanks to Katy, I submitted applications I was profoundly proud of, and I’m overjoyed to be heading to Stanford GSB. If you’re serious about top programs – especially Stanford! – work with Katy. You won’t find anyone more capable, caring, or effective. She brings out the very best in you and stands by you until you succeed.
Working with Gavriella Semaya was a game-changer for my MBA application process. She is incredibly genuine and straightforward, providing the kind of realistic guidance you need when navigating top-tier schools. What really sets her apart is her impressive attention to detail; she has a unique ability to spot small, seemingly unimportant nuances in a profile and explain exactly how they can be leveraged to make a real difference. For someone with a very non-traditional background, her expertise was invaluable in helping me translate my experiences into a cohesive story that actually resonated. Beyond the strategy, Gavriella is a true advocate who consistently goes out of her way to help, often providing support well beyond what I expected.
Melissa is an exceptional consultant, and I would recommend her to any friend going through the application process.
She is incredibly thoughtful and takes the time to truly understand your story and motivations. What stood out to me was her ability to connect themes across our work together. She would reference details I had written about at the very beginning of the process that I didn’t even remember mentioning. This made my essays feel cohesive and genuinely reflective of who I am.
Her turnaround times consistently strong. Melissa seemed to work around the clock to get materials back quickly, and her feedback was always strategic and substantive. She pushed my thinking and helped me elevate my narrative in ways I would not have been able to do on my own.
Beyond her expertise, she was simply a great person to work with. She is thoughtful, hardworking, and provided encouragement throughout what can be a stressful and emotional process. I always felt supported and confident moving forward.
I purchased the three-school package and will be attending Wharton this fall. I received a significant scholarship, which I never would have anticipated, so I am seeing a ~10x return on my investment in working with Melissa!!
I got to know Katy quite late in my admissions journey — it was less than 5 months before the Round 1 deadline, and I was swamped with work (I’m in consulting). Colleagues recommended her and told me there was basically no chance I’d get a slot (especially given I’m an international applicant). I still reached out, shared my story, and Katy got back to me right away – super empathetic and genuinely interested in who I am, not just where I’m applying.
Katy is way more than an admissions advisor. She’s a real life/career coach who helps you turn aspirations into a story that you actually were searching for. As a former management consultant herself, she brings the necessary structure and focus; as a former Admissions team member – adds the human part of the story.
She went above and beyond: quick, detailed feedback on essays and short answers, calls when I was stuck, time with my recommenders so their letters were clear and specific, preparations for my interviews. I was also a reapplicant, and she made sure that growth was reflected throughout the applications.
Bottom line: I got into Stanford, Wharton, and MIT — and I’m headed to Stanford. Dreams come true! But what is more important – I found a real advisor and friend, who opened the door for me in this journey
I worked with Jessica & was fortunate to be admitted to both HBS and Stanford GSB. I can say without hesitation that working with her was one of the best decisions I made on this journey.
Jessica brings an exceptional level of insight into top-tier MBA admissions. From the outset, she demonstrated a deep understanding of what different schools truly value and helped me think rigorously about positioning. She took the time to understand my background, motivations, and long-term goals, and then helped me translate those into a coherent, authentic narrative across every component of my applications. One of Jessica’s greatest strengths is also her ability to draw out stories and themes that you may not realise are there. Her feedback was consistently thoughtful, precise, and honest, pushing me to go deeper while maintaining clarity and authenticity.
Beyond content, Jessica was incredibly organised and detail-oriented. She helped me manage timelines, ensured consistency in my messaging, and was meticulous in refining essays, resumes and interview preparation. She went above and beyond & always made herself available when last-minute questions arose.
Equally important, Jessica was a supportive presence throughout. I genuinely enjoyed working with her and always felt she was fully invested in my success. I would recommend her without reservation to anyone applying to top MBA programs.
I was referred to Gavriella by a friend who told me she was the best admissions consultant out there — and he was absolutely right!
Gavriella has an incredible gift for storytelling. She has a unique ability to connect seemingly unrelated or “small” life moments and transform them into a powerful, cohesive narrative that answers each essay prompt with clarity and impact. She keeps you accountable to deadlines, responds with impressive speed, and never leaves you hanging. That level of reliability is such a luxury during the final weeks before submission, especially when last-minute questions and tweaks inevitably pop up.
What I appreciate most about Gavriella’s approach is her openness and collaborative spirit. She creates a space where you feel completely comfortable sharing your thoughts and ideas, knowing she will thoughtfully consider every input and skillfully weave it into the application in the most compelling way possible.
I entered the MBA application process feeling genuinely overwhelmed. Coming from a highly technical background that didn’t feel like a natural fit for an MBA, I had no idea where to start or how to position myself effectively. I decided to fully trust Gavriella and with her support, I received acceptances from HBS and Wharton!
Gavriella, thank you for everything — you are a star!
Working with Katy was a genuinely valuable part of my MBA application journey. What stood out most was her ability to quickly understand both my professional trajectory and the deeper personal motivations behind my applications. She didn’t just focus on surface level edits. She pushed me to reflect more deeply on my story, clarify my long term goals, and articulate the “why” behind my decisions in a way that felt authentic rather than manufactured.
Katy was particularly strong in helping translate complex professional experiences into compelling narratives. Coming from the Middle East, where career paths, leadership dynamics, and institutional impact often differ from more traditional Western profiles, it was critical to work with someone who could truly understand that context. Katy demonstrated a deep appreciation for my cultural and professional background and helped position my experiences in a way that preserved their authenticity while making their significance clear and compelling to admissions committees. She understood the nuances, the constraints, and the opportunities that shaped my journey, and helped turn that into a differentiated strength rather than something that required simplification.
Her feedback was direct and honest, which I appreciated. She was willing to challenge assumptions and flag areas that felt generic or underdeveloped. At times, this meant going through multiple iterations, but the process ultimately resulted in significantly stronger essays. She also brought valuable perspective on positioning, particularly around leadership, trajectory, and how admissions committees interpret different career paths and international profiles.
On the practical side, Katy was reliable, responsive, and organized throughout the process. Timelines were clear, feedback was timely, and expectations were well managed, which made a stressful process feel more structured and controlled.
It is important to note that Katy’s approach requires active engagement and self reflection. She does not write your story for you. Instead, she helps you uncover and articulate it yourself. For applicants willing to engage deeply, this leads to a far more authentic and compelling outcome.
Overall, working with Katy was a highly worthwhile investment. She helped elevate not only the quality of my essays, but also my clarity around my own narrative and goals. I would strongly recommend her to applicants, particularly those from international or non traditional backgrounds, who want to present their story with authenticity, depth, and strategic positioning.
Coming into the MBA application process, I was somewhat nervous about telling my story in an approachable way given my technical engineering background and deciding which details to highlight in the limited application space. Katy’s ability to learn new topics, synthesize information, and provide thoughtful advice blew me away, and her perspective helped me bring out unique pieces of my background that I otherwise would have overlooked. Additionally, her historical experience on the application process is second to none, and I am still impressed with how she made what could be a grueling process actually enjoyable. I ended up getting accepted at HBS, which was my first choice. She is truly a master of her craft, and if I were to go through the application process again, I would work with Katy again in a heartbeat.
During our first call, Harshad immediately put me at ease. He explained that there was no pressure to work together and didn’t come across as salesy. That made our discussion productive and helped me understand clearly how he could guide me. He shared detailed foundational materials at the start. While these felt overwhelming and a bit bureaucratic at first, they ended up being incredibly helpful for keeping the process organized and making communication across multiple drafts and essays much easier.
After spending years in my own professional bubble, my version of my story came off as dry. Harshad’s deep understanding of the MBA admissions landscape made all the difference. He helped me turn my background into compelling, clear narratives that highlighted the unique qualities I’d bring to the classroom. He also guided me in striking the right balance between my experiences and aspirations in my applications.
Harshad invests time not only in understanding your story but also in noticing patterns in how you think, which proved very useful. He organized multiple calls and made it easy for me to clarify what mattered most and what I wanted from business school.
His school selection strategy was logical and centered on what you’re hoping to get from the MBA experience. I ended up changing some schools on my final Round 1 list based on his advice. After visiting campuses and speaking with students and alumni, I found his perspectives truly added value to my own research. He helped me prioritize which applications would be most challenging and which materials could be reused across schools. He consistently put my best interests first. Even for schools where I wasn’t using his services, he generously shared his advice.
For one of my essays, I struggled to keep my message concise without losing its core meaning. Harshad patiently worked through several drafts with me until I was happy. His incredibly fast turnaround, often within 24 hours, was a lifesaver while I balanced work and applications.
Thanks to Harshad’s guidance, I was admitted to Harvard, which was truly a dream come true. His methodical approach and patient mentoring were key in helping me overcome my initial challenges and present the strongest possible application.
If you’re worried about not having the usual feeder pedigree that seems common on online forums, don’t get discouraged. Be genuine when telling your story and work with Harshad, who is truly skilled at helping you showcase what makes you unique so you can stand out in a competitive pool.
Working with Gavriella was the best decision I made in my MBA process. She helped me earn admission to Chicago Booth (with a scholarship) and Wharton, and I don’t believe those outcomes would have happened without her.
From our first session, she approached my candidacy with rigor. She didn’t simply edit my essays; she forced me to clarify my thinking about who I wanted to be and what I wanted to do with my career. She pushed me to articulate what truly differentiated my background, what my leadership arc actually was, and how my long-term goals coherently connected to my past. The result was a set of applications that felt sharp, intentional, and distinctly mine.
What impressed me the most was her judgment. She understands how top programs evaluate candidates in not just what schools say publicly, but also how they actually read and evaluate files. To that end, she helped me position my experiences in a way that highlighted trajectory, impact, and leadership maturity. When I needed tough feedback or she had questions, she gave it directly and asked the hard questions. When I needed confidence, she gave that too!
She was also exceptionally responsive and invested. Waiting to hear back from schools is an intense experience, and she showed up for me each time. That level of care mattered a lot to me and is part of why I chose her to begin with.
Working with someone who has pattern recognition across dozens of successful candidates is a huge advantage in this difficult and competitive process. Gavriella brought nuance, discernment, and conviction to my applications — all necessary ingredients of success! If you are serious about getting into a top MBA program, Gavriella is who you call.
Katy stood out from the other consultants I spoke to immediately. Many were quick to laud my achievements and tried to assuage my concerns about potential weak spots in my application. Katy alone not only acknowledged my weaknesses, but gave me clear, actionable feedback that I could use to strengthen those parts of my application. She also recommended I actually go and visit the schools I planned to apply to, which ended up being invaluable in giving me a clear idea of each program. And that was just in our free consultation session!
Working with Katy was a marvelous experience. She started out by really getting to know me, understanding what stories from my life might be valuable to include in my application. Her insight from working in admissions allowed me to target my essays at what adcoms actually value. While I did end up writing many essays about my professional experience, Katy also encouraged me to write a few about some of my other passions such as music which, as Katy pointed out, showcase many attributes of myself that adcoms would be interested in seeing! I’m someone who likes to write many drafts of my essays until I’m satisfied, and Katy was relentless at providing feedback, rapidly returning them with comments and suggestions until we’d polished them to be the best they could be. Katy also provided insight into each school I was applying to, especially her alma mater of HBS, which quickly became my top choice as well. This was incredibly helpful when prepping for the HBS interview, where I felt incredibly well-prepared and calm as I went in (… well, as calm as one can feel in such a situation).
Ultimately I was able to submit applications that I was really proud of and that best showcased my story. I got multiple offers, including some substantial scholarships, and am overjoyed that I will be attending my top choice, HBS! I could not be happier with the results, and would encourage anyone to work with Katy. She will find a way to bring the best out of you!
Working with Nisha was an incredibly personalized and impactful experience. She pushed me to gain real clarity on my strengths and, more importantly, my “why,” asking deeply introspective questions that helped uncover a story that was truly unique and authentic to me.
She has an exceptional work ethic and consistently delivered quick turnarounds without ever compromising on quality, which helped me stay on track throughout a demanding process. I also started relatively late in the MBA application cycle, and together we thoughtfully mapped out multiple contingency plans. Ultimately, we were able to pursue our Plan A—and I was admitted to both Kellogg’s MMM program and MIT Sloan’s MBA.
She is generous with her time, provides highly tactical and actionable feedback, and sets a clear, well-paced timeline that makes managing multiple applications feel structured and manageable. I couldn’t recommend her more highly to anyone looking for thoughtful, rigorous, and genuinely personalized MBA application support.
I can’t recommend Nisha enough! She was incredibly responsive, insightful, and motivating throughout the process, and her feedback was always spot-on. She was great in helping me to tell my story authentically while holding a high standard. Thanks to her guidance, I was admitted to all four schools I applied to, including three M7s.
