I worked with Jessica during my MBA application process, initially targeting Harvard and Stanford in Round 1. I came into the process with a 715 GMAT Focus Edition score, a background as an MBB consultant, and three years of experience as an entrepreneur who successfully scaled a business to millions in revenue.
From the very first interaction—even before I officially became her client—Jessica was responsive, insightful, and genuinely helpful. The demo call alone provided real value, without any pressure to commit. Once we started working together, she proved to be highly professional, always meeting deadlines and taking her work seriously. Just as importantly, she offered meaningful emotional support throughout the process, which helped me stay focused and motivated.
While I didn’t get into Harvard or Stanford, I used the strong materials we had built together to apply in Round 2 to Wharton and MIT Sloan—where I was admitted to both. Even though Jessica wasn’t directly involved in those Round 2 applications, the foundation we created together was very useful to my success.
Jessica was a valuable partner in this journey. She may not promise outcomes, but she provides structure, honesty, and a strong support system—both intellectually and emotionally—that makes a real difference.
I chose Nisha after reading tonnes of positive reviews about her work online. My experience of working with her only echoes that sentiment! She helped me with selecting the best schools based on my post MBA goals, her advice brought so much more finesse to my essays and my overall story. She is just the right amount of optimistic, and ever available to answer one’s queries. Despite of the 12 hours of time difference between us, it was easy to connect quickly with her on urgent matters. Also, she made sure that my unique voice and story doesn’t get lost in the sea of cookie cutter essays and responses. 10/10 recommend her!
I had the pleasure of working with Harshad on my Executive/Part-Time MBA applications.
Harshad played a pivotal role in helping me craft competitive applications. He invested significant time in thoughtful brainstorming sessions, helping me articulate my strengths and refine my story to bring out the best possible versions of my essays. Thanks to his support, I was admitted to two of my dream schools—Kellogg and Haas. I ultimately chose to join the Haas EWMBA program, which aligns perfectly with my goals and schedule.
What stood out most about Harshad was his empathy and flexibility. He was incredibly supportive throughout the process and worked around my demanding schedule without hesitation. His engineering background was an added bonus, as it allowed him to easily relate to my professional experience and provide tailored guidance.
I highly recommend Harshad to anyone looking to build a strong, compelling MBA application. His insight, commitment, and personal touch can significantly improve your chances of admission. You won’t be disappointed.
I interviewed five different MBA consulting firms during free intro sessions and ultimately chose to work with Gavi. She stood out immediately, not by selling a dream or using pressure tactics, but by being transparent, optimistic, and balanced in her feedback. She highlighted my strengths while thoughtfully planning how to address my weaknesses.
Coming from a sales background and targeting a more strategic post-MBA career, I had a nontraditional path that included being part of tech layoffs, taking a year-long break to travel and volunteer, and then re-entering the workforce. I wasn’t sure how to weave all these elements into a cohesive, compelling narrative or how to approach recommendation letters from people I hadn’t worked with in years. Gavi was able to deconstruct my story and help me rebuild it in a way that felt authentic and impactful.
Just two months into working with her, I recommended Gavi to a friend, who also immediately connected with her candid style and sharp insight. Her continued support through every phase, including post-admissions decisions and waitlist strategies, has been above and beyond.
In the end, I was admitted to one T15, one T10, and one M7 school outright with over $160K in scholarships combined. I was also waitlisted at two other M7 programs, one of which I was ultimately accepted into during round 3 decisions. Gavi helped me every step of the way and never disappeared after the “hard work” was done. Her human-centered approach, dedication, and ability to help manage the emotional rollercoaster of this process make her a truly exceptional consultant. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
After speaking with several top admissions consultants, I ultimately chose to work with Gavriella.
What immediately stood out about Gavriella was her genuine, straightforward approach. While some consultants seemed to overcomplicate the process to sell their services, Gavriella was refreshingly honest and to the point. She made the daunting process feel clear and manageable, while never sugarcoating things. Her honest feedback helped me dig deeper when my essays or stories weren’t landing. She never hesitated to tell me when something needed to go back to the drawing board—but she also guided me to uncover the right stories and shape them powerfully.
One of the biggest intangible benefits of working with her was the confidence I gained knowing I had best-in-class strategic support in my corner. From application strategy to interview prep, Gavriella brought both professionalism and heart to every step.
She also went above and beyond—often reviewing multiple drafts, hopping on last minute calls when deadlines were tight, and offering encouragement when the process felt overwhelming. It was clear she wasn’t just doing a job; she was truly invested in helping me present the best version of myself and reach my full potential.
Gavriella’s exceptional writing guidance helped me get to compelling, authentic essays. She was a true partner in shaping a cohesive, credible, and differentiated application.
Results: I was invited to interview at HBS, and I was accepted to both Wharton and Columbia, with a scholarship from CBS.
If you’re looking for a consultant who is smart, strategic, honest, and truly cares—Gavriella is it. I can’t recommend her highly enough.
The MBA application process is long and daunting. Working with Kate made it so much smoother! Kate takes the time to understand who you are to help you craft the strongest possible MBA application that comes across as authentic and reflective of who you are. She was a great thought partner, paid attention to the details, provided candid feedback, and viewed each application in a holistic fashion (between resumes, essays, and short answer questions). Kate is also great at holding you accountable from an application submission timing perspective – a very critical part of the process! I highly recommend Kate to anyone looking for a partner as part of the MBA journey. However, anyone reading this should know that Kate (and any admission consultant) is not going to give you the “answers”. The application process is a deeply reflective one that you need to conduct successfully (and which Kate is great at assisting you in) to get the most out of the application process with a consultant like Kate.
The MBA application process is an inherently stressful process, let alone when you get started pretty late as I did. As per the title of my review, Michael wasted no time providing me strict but very much needed direction on how to hit my target amount of school applications. What I appreciated most about Michael is that he was never afraid to give it to you straight, even if it wasn’t what you wanted to hear at that time. The advice was sound too. He helped keep me on track from a timing perspective and was always there to give me the extra kick in the butt that was needed to get my materials together. Had it not been for him, I certainly would not have been able to get applications into 5 schools. He helped me get my short and long-term goals aligned and how business school could get me there. As most know, the overall flow of your story is very important in the application process and Michael’s detail oriented reviews were integral in helping me identify key aspects of my life and personality to help it all become more cohesive. Through his help, I was admitted to 3 of the 5 schools I applied to with scholarship (Tuck, Darden, and Ross). Cannot thank Michael enough for the guidance he provided.
Working with Melissa was the single best investment I’ve ever made—both professionally and personally.
I began my MBA journey in mid-November with just one month to apply to seven schools. Despite the odds, I received five interview invites and five offers—including three from M7 schools—and over $300,000 in scholarships. I was even awarded a full ride to one of the M7s. I could never have imagined achieving this on my own.
I booked the 7-school package and completed every application within just four weeks. The results speak volumes.
But Melissa is far more than a consultant—she’s a strategic partner, a mentor, and a fierce advocate who is truly invested in your success. She listens intently, offers direct and insightful feedback, and never lets you settle for less than your best. Throughout the process, I didn’t just craft strong applications—I gained confidence and self-awareness I’ll carry with me for life.
There’s one moment that still stands out to me. At a time when I was overwhelmed and doubting myself, Melissa said: “Just because you start late doesn’t mean you won’t get in. And just because you start early doesn’t mean you will.” That single sentence shifted my mindset and helped me push through when it mattered most.
I had spoken to other consultants at mbaMission, but Melissa stood out immediately—not only because of her responsiveness and professionalism, but because I felt a sense of trust and reassurance from the very beginning. I told her this was my last chance: I already held a master’s degree, and my GMAT score was about to expire. Melissa never wavered. Her confidence in me never felt forced—it was rooted in her deep understanding of the process and her genuine belief in her clients.
From day one, I was anxious about writing essays under pressure. But Melissa guided me step by step, helping me turn stress into structure and ideas into impact. With her support, I submitted everything just before her Christmas break. Even during that time, she still checked in—proactively, kindly, and consistently. She never once left me hanging or let me feel alone in the process.
She is incredibly responsive—often replying within hours—and her feedback is always clear, thoughtful, and brutally constructive in the best way. I can say with complete honesty: I would not be where I am today without her.
As a future MBA student, I know this was the greatest return on investment I could have made. And as a person, I feel deeply fortunate to have met someone as talented, compassionate, and committed as Melissa. She believed in me from day one—and never stopped.
If you care about outcomes, growth, and true partnership—choose Melissa Blakeslee. You’ll never regret it.
Gavriella helped me get into my target M7 school!!I I came in with scattered thoughts and experiences, and she helped me shape them into a clear, compelling story that I couldn’t see myself. She knew exactly how to connect the dots in a way that felt authentic and impactful. She was a patient, flexible, and meticulous partner throughout the process, and I couldn’t be happier with the results of working with her!
I decided to work with Gavriella after hearing about her from a previous client. Going into the MBA process I knew what schools I wanted to target, and I knew the test scores I needed, but her experience and advice were so important in helping my strategy. Before application season began in earnest, she made sure to sit down with me and learn about my story, and what my goals and aspirations were. While I drafted and reviewed essays, her expert feedback was honest, and constructive, exactly what you need to help you set yourself apart and tell your story. She helped me understand what the schools I was applying to were looking for, and when I had trouble figuring out which standardized test to take, she knew how to help me find the right one. Her experience was invaluable as I made my way through the application process, she was always quick to respond, and willing to set up calls on short notice. I was accepted at all my top programs, receiving a full-tuition scholarship to one school, and up to 50% at others. I would not have believed I could achieve that before I started working with Gavriella, but she will go above and beyond to guide you through the maelstrom that is MBA admissions. I would highly recommend Gavriella to anyone who wants submit MBA applications.
I am so grateful that Harold was part of my MBA application journey—from school selection to applications, interviews, and even negotiating scholarship offers. I first met Harold through a “ding review” promotion with MBA Mission. He reviewed my previous application and clearly outlined areas for improvement – specifically, my low GMAT score and the need to better clarify my post-MBA career goals.
Honestly, Harold’s encouragement, insights, and steady support were pivotal in helping me commit to the reapplication process. I truly do not think I would have gone through it again without his affirmation of my candidacy; I came from a nontraditional background – working in research as a chemist – but many successful candidates do come from nontraditional backgrounds!
I was accepted to 5 out of 7 schools I applied to – Duke Fuqua, Cornell Johnson, Michigan Ross, Rice Jones, and Minnesota Carlson – with significant scholarship offers! I was waitlisted at Yale SOM and only rejected from Northwestern Kellogg. Beyond the results, I came out of the experience with a much clearer sense of purpose and confidence.
Some of the most helpful suggestions Harold offered along the way included:
1. Recommending that I switch from the GMAT to the GRE, which ended up being a better fit and allowed me to improve my score. 2. Emphasizing that every MBA application must clearly answer: Why an MBA? Why now? Why this school? 3. Teaching me how to dig into alumni career paths across programs so I could define achievable, authentic, and compelling post-MBA goals.
Thank you, Harold! You truly made a difference in this process, and I am confident you will continue to do the same for many more applicants in the future.
Julie-Anne was fantastic to work with—she stepped in on short notice for a mock interview and brought great energy and focus to our session. She went over time without hesitation, offering honest, efficient feedback that made a real difference. Thanks to her insights, I felt well-prepared and was accepted to the program we prepped for. Highly recommended!
I worked with Devi for my HBS interview prep. She is very professional and on-point. During our first session, Devi clearly laid out a direction and topics we should prep for the interview (they were discussed during my interview!). We had two interview prep sessions, and they helped to build out my expectation for the interview, which led to a pleasure conversation and eventually a HBS offer!
I worked with Devi for two interview prep sessions, and I can confidently say that she has a unique method of building your confidence, which I believe is what matters the most in the HBS interview. She is quite blunt but also motivating, which I found to be very effective. Her feedback was always constructive and insightful, and the homework she provided was crucial. The HBS interview is unique compared to other schools; the 30 minutes fly by, and being well-prepared and confident truly makes all the difference. I highly recommend Devi—if you are interviewing with HBS, you should definitely invest in working with her!
As an international applicant from a highly competitive pool, with a non-traditional background and not-so-stellar scores—I started this journey feeling unsure. Most consultants I spoke with told me to “play it safe” with my school list… until I found mbaMission.
Working with Nisha changed how I viewed the MBA admissions process. She encouraged me to apply to the schools I truly wanted and that were the right fit for me, not just the “realistic” ones. She helped me bring out my best through the materials we created together, while also reminding me to keep the process light and manageable. In the end, I got interviews at every school we applied to, all of which I had considered reach schools at the start.
This journey shifted how I think about the MBA world. I ultimately chose a program that Nisha recommended, one I hadn’t even seriously considered at first, and now I truly believe it’s the best fit for me.
Nisha is open, responsive, and incredibly patient. I tend to be very detail-oriented and ask a lot of questions, and she always took the time to answer everything clearly. Highly recommended!
Working with Nisha throughout my MBA application process has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. From the very beginning, she approached the entire journey with incredible diligence, enthusiasm, and a deep understanding of what makes each school unique. Her insight into the nuances of each program’s values, culture, and expectations gave me a real strategic edge and helped me tailor my approach with confidence.
What stood out most was how personally invested she was in my success. She didn’t just offer generic advice, she took the time to understand my story, strengths, and aspirations, and consistently encouraged me to lead with them. At every point where I felt stuck or uncertain, Nisha offered clarity, motivation, and thoughtful guidance that kept me moving forward.
She was also incredibly reliable, always responsive, always on time, and always prepared. I knew I could count on her not just for expert feedback, but also for genuine support. Thanks to her, the entire process felt far less daunting and far more empowering. I’m truly grateful to have had her in my corner!
Early on, she suggested I look into a top business school I hadn’t even considered. At first, I didn’t think it was the right fit for me, but she encouraged me to do some research and keep an open mind. A few months later, I ended up applying, and after visiting all my options, that’s the school I chose! It turned out to be the perfect match.
I had a pretty unique background, and my GMAT wasn’t super high, but Gavriella helped me turn those things into strengths. She really took the time to get to know me and made sure my applications told my story in the best way possible. Thanks to her, I got into 4 out of 6 schools, with scholarships up to 35%. I always felt supported and encouraged, and I couldn’t have done this without her.
Trust her process and advice—her experience truly makes all the difference.
Highly recommend!!!
Due to unexpected circumstances, I had to prepare and apply to business school in a short time frame (~2 months). Wanting to put my best foot forward, I decided to work with a consultant, and I am so happy I did.
Right away, Devi and I worked on a timeline to ensure I was on pace to finish high-quality applications by these Round 2 deadlines. She helped me parse through the jumble of experiences that make up my life and select the ones I could write about in the essays. Her feedback during the writing process helped me clarify my story and present myself in a way that felt authentic and compelling. When interviews came around, we were able to run mocks that were practically identical to the real thing.
Fortunately, I was able to secure admission to Wharton and Columbia. Devi’s advice and support throughout the process were invaluable, and it was a pleasure working with her.
I truly cannot speak highly enough of Harshad. His work ethic, his insightfulness, his demeanor, and the results he had a massive part in helping me attain. I have worked with other consultants for other program applications, and Harshad is the best across every metric I can conceive of by a long shot.
I am/was an applicant with an atypical background relative to other MBA applicants. I began this process unsure of what I was capable of and what I would be able to achieve. Harshad was patient, highly professional, and methodical in helping me align on how to tell my story and convey my value to schools comprehensively and efficiently. Through providing resources for GMAT prep, helping guide the selection of schools to apply to, Harshad was always direct, honest, yet kind in his coaching and when providing guidance.
His assistance in crafting applications for schools and preparing for interviews was comprehensive and incredibly valuable; however, what truly impressed me was his efforts and assistance in every other aspect of the process. He was able and willing to give advice and instruction on the best way to reach out and leverage my connections at various schools, how to ask and guide my supervisors on writing the most effective recommendations possible, and even provide templates and support after I had received acceptances on the best way to negotiate better fellowship allocations from these programs.
Beyond that, Harshad took the time to get to know me and understand my strengths, weaknesses, goals, and aspirations. He guided me through this notoriously difficult process with kindness and patience. He helped me reach a place where I felt pride in myself and my accomplishments, even before getting acceptances.
He tends to be direct in his communications, which is something I valued, but after taking the time to get to know him as well, I can say he is truly incredible at his job, and a wonderful person, and I look forward to staying in touch with him in the future.
I worked with Gavriella on an hourly consultation basis, which ended up being the perfect fit for my needs. She was incredibly helpful in brainstorming essay ideas, providing structure to my application, and guiding me through the entire MBA admissions process with her deep expertise. What I appreciated most was her transparency and candid feedback—she was brutally honest in the best way possible, and exactly what I needed to improve my materials. Her turnaround times were always prompt, and I could count on her for clear, thoughtful reviews. I’d recommend her 10/10 without hesitation.
Michael was absolutely amazing and so attentive to me and my MBA journey. I am so grateful for his help and guidance. He was extremely “on it” and responsive, and his emails to me were thorough and thought out. I absolutely felt like I was in very good hands, with his many years of experience. His feedback on my application was candid and constructive, and my application ended up being extremely strong because of his support throughout the whole process.
I’m thrilled to share that with Michael’s help, I got into Fuqua School of Business at Duke. I also got into 4 other schools. Michael continued to support me even after my apps had been submitted, for which I am so grateful. He is also extremely knowledgeable about the different schools and how they vary, and even helped talk me through making my final decision. I truly trust Michael, and am also appreciative that we got to know each other on a personal level throughout all the stress of the MBA applications. He was always there for me to help me through the tough decisions that come along with applying to MBAs.
I truly didn’t know where to start on the MBA journey, and without Michael, I couldn’t have done it.
Devi is an outstanding MBA consultant with a remarkable ability to truly understand your story and help you bring it to life. She has a rare talent for distilling complex experiences into a clear, compelling narrative – always enhancing your voice, never changing it. Her guidance was instrumental not only in crafting an authentic application but also in preparing me for interviews. I couldn’t recommend her more highly.
When I applied to HSW with an profile peppered by obvious landmines, Devi met me with clarity – never hollow cheerleading. From our first call she extracted my true story I’d never voiced, then funneled each anecdote through her tried and true framework until the narrative clicked.
Devi is the person that can read pages upon pages of life-story word vomit and listen to rambling for hours, and somehow draw the most concise theme that ties it all together.
She reframed my missteps as growth inflection points, insisting every weakness become proof of resilience. She found ways to be proud of my accomplishments without being boastful. She was always firmly present: late night calls, Sunday edits, emails answered within minutes – proof I was a real person to her, not another number or one of 158 five-star reviews (as of writing this review!).
Her compassionate candor made discomfort feel motivating. By decision day I held multiple admits and confidence; Devi had believed first, and coached until I did too.
Thank you Devi!!
Working with Kate was a game-changer for my MBA application. She expertly guided me, keeping everything organized and manageable throughout what could have been a very stressful process in a very tough timeline. As an MBA applicant with 10+ years of experience – Kate’s insightful, actionable feedback helped me significantly. Kate is exactly who you need for your MBA application journey!
Working with Susan was one of the best decisions I made in my MBA application journey. I came in with a traditional background in investment banking and private equity, and an okay GPA, so I knew I had to find a way to stand out. From the beginning, she was polite but firm. She consistently pushed me to dig deeper into my experiences and background and think critically about how to frame my story in a compelling and differentiated way.
She helped me uncover stories from my personal and professional life that I hadn’t even considered including. These stories ultimately made my application to HBS not just strong but authentic. When it came to writing and refining my materials, her communication was incredibly prompt and professional. I’m very detail oriented (borderline obsessive) and she matched that at every step.
She challenged me to get clear on my goals, go deeper in my research, and connect everything together. She helped me tie my family history and past experiences to my future ambitions in a way that felt thoughtful and strategic. I truly believe that her guidance played a huge role in helping me get into my dream school.
I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking to apply to highly competitive MBA programs. She is a great fit for someone who wants a partner who will hold them to a high standard and help them uncover the best version of their story.
Three weeks before my HBS interview I was spiraling—too many potential questions, no clear structure, and a voice that sounded rehearsed even to me. Enter Devi. Her reply to my frantic email was simple: “We’ll turn nerves into narrative.” From that moment, the panic began to ebb.
The Process—Lean, Data-Driven, Transformative • 4 one-hour mock interviews on Zoom, each recorded and returned within 24 hours, complete with time-stamped notes. • 112 distinct questions covered—yes, Devi tracks everything. • Real-time metrics: My opening “Tell me about yourself” shrank from 2:41 (rambling) to 1:02 (focused, conversational). • Answer architecture: Her “Heartbeat” template—Context (10 sec) → Turning Point (20 sec) → Result (20 sec) → Reflection (10 sec)—turned bloated war stories into tight, memorable vignettes.
Proof It Worked • In the actual HBS interview (29 minutes, 24 questions), 10 questions were word-for-word from our mocks. • The interviewer wrapped with, “I can picture you on-site at that refinery.” That visceral clarity was Devi’s goal from Session 1. • One week later, the admit email landed. Enough said.
The Human Edge—Emotional Ballast
Technique aside, what stayed with me was Devi’s genuine care. She ended every call the same way, voice steady and warm:
“Harvard already believes in you. Let’s make sure you hear that, too.” Those sentences weren’t scripted pep talks; they were reminders spoken with such calm conviction that the self-doubt finally quieted. The night before my interview, I didn’t replay notes—I replayed her voice.
Why You Should Call Devi
If you need essays ghost-written, look elsewhere. If you need someone who will: 1. Dissect your experiences until the story shines, 2. Drill you with relentless precision, and 3. Deliver unwavering belief in your corner,
Devi is that partner. I’m heading to Boston this fall because four laser-focused hours—and the faith behind them—turned anxiety into authenticity.
Harold is a very knowledgeable, responsible and proactive consultant – I would absolutely recommend him for anyone who is looking for the best outcome.
Harold was truly invested in my applications. During the brainstorming stage, he pushed me really hard to flesh out an authentic story, which was fundamental to the MBA application. Since I had very specific post-MBA goals, he provided tailored advice on my school selection strategy and shared many insights into schools that I had very limited knowledge of. That well-crafted strategy was proven a huge success, as I was able to leverage a scholarship offer from a lower-tier school (which I hadn’t even been considering initially) to secure a meaningful scholarship from my top-choice school.
Harold was also super supportive throughout the process. It was an extremely competitive year for international students even in Round 1, and I felt I could improve the outcome in Round 2. He continued to offer attentive support and share intel that helped strengthen my candidacy, despite the pro-longed process. Eventually I received multiple M7 and T15 offers with scholarships – an outcome I was very happy with.
In addition, although the standard turnaround time is approx. 2 business days, Harold had almost always got back to me within 1. This was especially helpful as I was juggling between a demanding job, GMAT prep, MBA applications and other life commitments.
This was hands down a 5-star experience from start to finish.
As an applicant with over 10 years of experience, I was not a typical candidate for a full time MBA. However, I wanted to pivot into a consulting career path, and I was excited to pursue full time programs which have structured recruiting for consulting firms. With Kate’s exceptional support and strategic guidance, I applied to five Top 15 Programs, and I was admitted with Consortium and Forte Fellowship and a 50% scholarship to one of my top choices.
Kate is a superb MBA admissions consultant who met me where I was! She listened attentively, provided thoughtful feedback, and guided me through the demanding MBA application process. She helped me refine my essays so they highlighted my experiences and career goals in a way that resonated with admissions committees. Beyond the applications, she went above and beyond by proactively sending me additional information when I started interviewing for schools. Further, she gave invaluable advice on ultimately selecting a school and launching into my MBA. I’m so grateful to have worked with Kate – her expertise, encouragement, and commitment made a tremendous difference in my MBA journey!
Working with Melissa was an enjoyable and extremely productive relationship from day 1. She took a very detailed and hands-on approach to ensure I was set up for success, enabling me to craft the best application possible! While the MBA application process is long and arduous, Melissa alleviated much stress and angst that I otherwise likely would have had. Her responses and communication were very consistent throughout the entirety of the process, allowing me to always have something to work on. Melissa’s guidance, knowledge, and expertise of the process was evident from day the beginning and ultimately helped me gain admission into an M7 program. 10/10 recommend!
Heidi helped bring such clarity to a complex process. She was kind, responsive, and direct in her feedback – the combination of which was critical to building my confidence during the process and leading to a very successful outcome!
Of note, Heidi did a wonderful job at helping me build my own storytelling capability – explaining the why behind potential suggestions and edits – which was so important in how I conveyed my story to AdComs.
Last but definitely not least – she sincerely cares (and demonstrates it consistently) about her clients. I always knew Heidi was looking out for me and to have that kind of support was invaluable in what can be an overwhelming and stressful process. Thank you, Heidi!
Working with Julie was one of the most valuable parts of my MBA application journey. From the start, she pushed me to dig deeper into my stories—not just what I did, but why I did it and what it meant to me. This helped me understand myself better and bring a much more authentic voice to my essays. I tend to write a lot, and Julie was incredibly helpful in tightening my drafts without losing the essence of my message. Her feedback was sharp, honest, and always constructive. When it came time for interviews, her preparation techniques were so thorough that answering questions on the actual day felt completely natural. Julie provided the perfect all-around support system—coach, editor, and motivator—and I would recommend her without hesitation to anyone applying to business school!
As I prepared to apply to a top-tiered business school program, I knew the importance of having the right consultant. I spoke with 8 different ones who all felt very transactional and like they would put my best interests in mind, so long as I could make up my mind and make the hefty investment in the arbitrarily short amount of time and availability they claimed they had remaining. Then came Jessica.
From our first conversation, I was incredibly impressed with her ability to ask thoughtful questions and listen with remarkable patience. She dug deep into my background (back to my childhood), my motivations for getting an MBA, and where I would flourish into the person and professional that I’m capable of being. She gave me the space to speak very vulnerably about my experiences and helped me brainstorm how I would weave those into my applications in the right way. Our sessions were intentional and productive, and she did a really good job of guiding me to put my best application forward, but recognizing that it was MY application to ultimately prepare how I thought was true and authentic to me.
Fast forward to the school selection process, I had my two schools set, but hadn’t decided on a third. I aimlessly threw names around, but they weren’t backed by any serious thought, just what I thought seemed good. As she got to know me, she recommended that I consider Stanford GSB, a school that she thought would fit my values and provide the growth experiences that I sought. When you tell someone they’re a “good fit” at the most competitive and elite business school in the world, you don’t know what to make of it. While she did acknowledge that there is obviously no guarantee GSB would work out, she helped me dig deep and find the confidence that if anyone could get in, it was me, and let me make the decision for myself. As I continued crafting my application and ultimately got the interview/visited the school, I fell in love with it and couldn’t stop thanking her. As we approached decision day, she offered unwavering emotional support as it was a very stressful time for me. When I got the call that I was accepted, she was the first person I called with the good news.
Without Jessica, I never would’ve had the personal belief, motivation, or strength of application to apply to Stanford GSB, let alone interview and get accepted. Now I’m heading there for what will be a life-changing 2 years. I will never be able to repay Jessica, but the least I can do is help the next person looking to maximize their MBA application process: stop wasting time on 30 minute consultations with companies that don’t care about you and work with Jessica. She will bring the best out in you and you will be grateful that you chose to work with her.
Christine was incredible throughout my entire MBA admissions process. From our first meeting, she provided great guidance on which schools I may want to consider given my interest in healthcare and what I should be looking at as I thought through my options (without being pushy). As we got into essays and completing the applications, Christine always quickly turned around edits, comments, and answers to my questions (within 1-2 days) and had clear feedback and answers that I could implement to improve my application, making it much easier to make it through what can be a very stressful process. As we did mock interviews, Christine encouraged me to be myself and remain authentic while still being polished and interviewing well. Christine cheered me on throughout the process and her support was instrumental in my ultimate acceptance at four schools (Kellogg, Ross, Kenan-Flagler UNC, Anderson UCLA) including full ride and half-tuition scholarships Kenan-Flagler UNC and Ross, respectively.
My experience working with Harold was outstanding. I approached the MBA application process with very limited time and an ambitious plan: apply to four top programs, all of which were “reach” schools given my GMAT score. Harold turned out to be exactly the person I needed. Thanks to his guidance, I was admitted to three of those schools — each with generous scholarship offers. From the start, Harold took the time to really get to know me — my background, my interests, my career path — and used all of that to help craft the strongest applications possible. He guided me through every part of the process and I always felt supported. He was incredibly responsive and available whenever I needed to connect. When we first started, I had no clear idea what my essay topics should be or which stories to highlight. Harold’s deep experience showed right away. He helped me uncover and shape the stories that would resonate most with admissions committees. Instead of discouraging me because of my lower test score or suggesting I delay my applications to improve my stats, Harold focused on identifying my strengths and figuring out how to showcase them effectively. Once we aligned on the key themes and strategy, he fully believed in me and never let any doubts creep in. His confidence in my profile helped boost my own, especially as I prepared for interviews. One of Harold’s standout skills is his ability to trim down essay drafts to meet word limits while keeping all the important content intact — and he does it quickly and naturally. He was also fantastic at managing deadlines. Not only did he turn around essay edits rapidly (often in less than a day), but he kept me calm as deadlines approached. He promised we’d finalize materials a few days before each due date — and we did. By the end, I felt proud of every application I submitted and had ample time to review everything without stress. I have no doubt that without Harold’s help, I wouldn’t have received the same admissions outcomes — and especially not the scholarship offers. Working with him was one of the best decisions I made during the application process.
I made the decision to work with Gavriella after hearing about the amazing experience my husband had working with her. I had one MBA school (Duke Fuqua) as my only target given my specific circumstances to join my husband and a specific program: the Accelerated MBA. Gavriella provided clear guidance and honest, specific feedback on my essays as well as helped me navigate the scholarship negotiation including emails and scholarship forms to best showcase my needs, and merit based reasons for an increased scholarship. During my time working on essays, her feedback was prompt and clear. I was able to meet the application deadline feeling confident that my essays reflected myself in the best way possible. She provided insights on what the school was looking for and helped me connect the dots between my background and the school values. It was a great pleasure working with Gavriella and I would highly recommend her as a consultant!
When I started looking for an MBA consultant, I knew I wanted someone responsive, knowledgeable about the schools, and unafraid to give constructive feedback while still being kind. Heidi fit the bill. She got to know me through our intake process and made sure she understood my goals and what I was looking for in a school from the very beginning. I loved that when I shared my background with her, she was able to provide a clear outside perspective on what would stand out. She always returned essay feedback on time and provided suggestions without telling me how or what to write, which I appreciated since I wanted to make sure my true voice came through. She was also an amazing sounding board for other elements of the application process: what to aim for on the test, deciding between application rounds, and interview prep support. Her knowledge of what each school was looking for and running mock interviews together was particularly useful for interview prep. I worked with Heidi on two schools and used what I learned working with her to inform the others, and was thrilled to be accepted to every school I applied to with scholarships, including several full rides. I’m very happy with my choice to work with Heidi and highly recommend her!
Nisha is beyond amazing. When I doubted myself & my capabilities, it was always Nisha & her energy that got me to work harder. She helped out structure everything I need to success in my application process, and when I wasn’t responsive she was always reaching out & making sure I’m on tracking. Got accepted into Booth, Columbia, NYU, LBS. All with less than 3 years of experience.
She does a beautiful job laying out your strengths so the adcom can see the true value of having you in the community. Nisha, you’re a true hero!
Working with Gavriella was a game-changer for my MBA applications. I worked with her for the 2024/2025 cycle, and she was honestly incredible from start to finish. From our very first conversation, Gavriella made me feel genuinely heard and understood. She invested the time to get to know my story, my goals, and what I was looking for in an MBA experience. I was worried my lower test score might hold me back, but Gavriella helped me focus on my strengths and craft a story that truly reflected who I am.
What stood out to me was how thoughtful and strategic she was. She explained the differences between the schools and what each one was looking for. She never gave cookie-cutter advice; everything was tailored to my profile and aspirations. Gavriella was always available for quick questions, and her feedback on my essays and overarching messaging was spot-on. She genuinely cared about my success and was so encouraging throughout the entire process.
Thanks to her, I got into my top choices: Kellogg (with a 50% scholarship!) and Booth (25% scholarship). I’m still in shock! I don’t think I would have gotten these results, or these scholarships, without her guidance and support. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond and help you put your best foot forward, Gavriella is the one.
After deciding that I wanted to pursue my MBA, I realized that I didn’t know where to start – I had a very low undergraduate GPA and was entirely unsure about how the admissions process worked. That’s where I found Nisha, who helped me throughout the entire process to where I was eventually accepted at a top European program
I really couldn’t have done this without Nisha’s help. I was lost when I first started thinking about applying to MBA programs and really didn’t know what the application process was like, or how to talk about my skills, work experience, and achievements to admissions officers. Frankly, I was scared, but with Nisha’s help I was able to finally make it happen.
Nisha not only helped me navigate the entire admissions process, but also helped me become a better writer, a better communicator, and most importantly, helped me believe in myself and become confident in my past, present, and future. Nisha really helped me throughout this process and I would strongly recommend her for anyone who needs help in pursuing their MBA.
I truly cannot imagine going through the MBA admissions process without Melissa. I started out completely overwhelmed—nervous, lost, and unsure of where to begin—but Melissa transformed what felt like an impossible mountain into one of the smoothest and most rewarding journeys of my life. She is incredibly organized, always a step ahead, lightning-fast with responses, and somehow manages to balance being upbeat and encouraging with honest, grounded guidance.
But what really sets Melissa apart is the way she connects with you as a whole person. Our calls were never just about applications—they were about life, family, our dogs, and everything in between. She quickly became so much more than a consultant—she was a mentor, a coach, and a true friend. I genuinely looked forward to our meetings, and even after the applications were submitted and decisions were rolling in, she stayed by my side to help me make the final (and very tough!) choice.
Thanks to Melissa, I was accepted to six top MBA programs with over $530,000 in scholarship offers. That number still blows my mind. And it wasn’t all smooth sailing—there were major life events, unpredictable GMAT hurdles, and plenty of moments where I could’ve crumbled. But Melissa showed up every single time with empathy, wisdom, and unwavering belief in me. She invests in your story like it’s her own, and she never loses sight of what makes you you.
I wouldn’t wish the stress of this process on anyone, but if I had to do it all over again, I would choose Melissa a thousand times over. She is, without question, the best of the best.
From our very first session, it was clear Devi wasn’t just another coach — she was fully invested in helping me succeed. Her feedback was sincere, direct, and exactly what I needed to tighten my story and communicate it authentically. She had clearly taken the time to know my application inside out, and her questions during our mock interviews were so spot-on that many of them actually came up in the real interview. Thanks to her coaching, I walked into the room feeling calm, confident, and ready to have a real conversation — not deliver memorized answers. What I appreciated most was how much Devi cared. She challenged me when I needed it, encouraged me when I doubted myself, and helped me stay true to my voice throughout the process. If you’re preparing for HBS and want to show up as the best version of yourself, I couldn’t recommend Devi more highly.
I cannot thank Melissa enough for the incredible support and guidance throughout my MBA application journey. Thanks to her expertise, I was fortunate to receive multiple offers from T10/T15 business schools along with huge scholarship awards for each of them.
From the very beginning, Melissa took the time to deeply understand my background, goals, and unique story. They were instrumental in helping me craft authentic, compelling essays that resonated with each school’s culture. She also consistently pushed me to refine my materials while offering encouragement every step of the way. I honestly recommend Melissa to anyone aiming to maximize their MBA opportunities!
I was fortunate to work with Melissa for my MBA applications. She guided me through the entire process with honesty and her deep insight that made all the difference. Melissa helped elevate every part of my application – from revamping my resume and crafting compelling essays to preparing for the interviews. She also recommended that I take the Executive Assessment (EA), as my GMAT score was on the lower end. That turned out to be great advice, as I performed really well on the EA.
Thanks to Melissa’s support, I was accepted into four top business schools and received a scholarship offer from all of them. The return on investment from working with her has been incredible – ranging from 300% to 900% in scholarship value alone.
Melissa genuinely cares about her clients. She’s not only an exceptional consultant, but also a true friend who makes your dreams come true. She made my applications an order of magnitude stronger. I would highly recommend Melissa to anyone seeking guidance on their MBA journey.
I can’t say enough about my experience working with Jessica. Her deep knowledge of the programs enabled me to have a clear sense of what each school was looking for and tailor my applications and interview prep accordingly. Her breadth of experience meant she had ample ideas on how to best position the different elements of my application, particularly in one area that was complicated to explain. Her fun and supportive nature helped me be at my best through the ups and downs of the process, and made her such a pleasure to work with. Couldn’t recommend her enough!!
Jessica was super helpful in the last stretch of my application and her insights were invaluable. Prior to reaching out to Jessica, I had been informed that I was waitlisted at my dream school. I exhausted all of the available online and offline sources to help me build my waitlist strategy, but I felt that I needed someone with more experience to think and bounce ideas with. This is when I scheduled a 30-minute free consultation with Jessica. I went in prepared with a list of questions and Jessica answered every one of my them and made sure I got the maximum value out of the call. Consequently, I left the call feeling more confident in my plan and in the way forward. Even after the call, Jessica was kind enough to respond to a follow up email that I had sent her way, asking for a final piece of advice. Overall, the call was exactly what I needed and I am very grateful I spoke to Jessica!
After unfortunately not getting into business school during my first time applying, I began working with Nisha to reapply to programs and apply to new ones. Nisha did a comprehensive review of my previous application materials and noted where I did well/where I could improve. She helped me strategize on how to bolster my profile, find the right schools for me, and practice for interviews. In the end, I got into multiple schools including my top choice! I couldn’t have done it without Nisha’s tailored advice and supportive coaching.
I am very happy to recommend Gavriella to anyone applying to an MBA program. As a consultant, she was instrumental in helping me navigate the entire application process, providing thoughtful, strategic, and highly personalized guidance throughout. Gavriella was consistently accessible, always quick to respond and willing to jump on a call to talk through anything, big or small. She took the time to deeply understand my background, goals, and story, going far beyond the basic application forms. Her approach was structured and school specific, helping me develop tailored strategies for each of the M7 schools I applied to, as well as two international programs, and clearly explaining what each school values in a candidate. I didn’t have the highest GMAT score, but Gavriella helped me understand how admissions teams look at the full picture and coached me on how to highlight my strengths effectively. Through our work together, she also helped me reflect deeply on my experiences and aspirations, which led me to discover more about myself in a meaningful and positive way. That self-awareness has been incredibly valuable, not just for the MBA process, but for life. Thanks to her support, I felt confident that my application reflected the best version of myself.
Everyone should work with Krista Nannery and mbaMission, especially if they are on an expedited timeline or are looking for help in figuring out how to best position themselves/their story for business school adcoms. If you are considering working with a consultant, I can’t recommend Krista Nannery enough. Krista is incredibly professional and always clearly conveys deadlines, out of office timelines, and expectations to ensure a seamless working relationship. She always hits her deadlines (often turning work around more quickly than expected), was honest without ever being unkind, and quickly understood the best way to work with me/help me shape my story for what I wanted to convey to these schools. Her knowledge of what these business schools are looking for, and how to differentiate for each, is unmatched. She took the time to get to know me, my industry, and my goals and helped provide fabulous templates to brainstorm/brain dump important details about my professional and personal life. She took her review of these brainstorming documents very seriously, asking questions that ultimately unlocked my strongest essays, and she made the daunting task of writing application essays feel approachable. She was very helpful in editing my essays with a focus on keeping the important content while prioritizing brevity, and she ensured I was fully prepared for interviews with sound advice and support. The work didn’t stop there either. She helped me assess my options once I was admitted to schools and make my final decision on where to attend! Overall, Krista is a wonderful human being and consultant!
Michael is nothing short of extraordinary. I came into the MBA application process feeling overwhelmed, with not much knowledge about what to do and less than a month to complete my essays and application. I didn’t think it was possible to present a strong application in such a short amount of time, but thanks to Michael’s expertise and support, I achieved my dream: admission to Cambridge with a scholarship!
Michael helped me understand the process in a way that made it feel manageable. He listened to my concerns, created a plan tailored to my timeline, and gave me the confidence to believe in myself. He has an incredible ability to uncover your unique strengths and show you how to tell your story in the most authentic and compelling way.
His truthful and direct feedback made my essays stronger at every step, but he always communicated in a way that was encouraging and uplifting. He helped me see the value in my experiences and guided me to highlight them with clarity and purpose.
More than anything, Michael’s work ethic and dedication stood out. He was always responsive, patient, and flexible, often making himself available at the last minute to help me stay within schedule. When I felt nervous or unsure, he was there to calm my nerves and keep me focused. By the end of the process, it felt like Michael truly knew me inside and out, and his insights reflected that deep understanding.
Michael isn’t just a consultant; he’s a mentor who genuinely cares about your success. If you’re looking for someone who will go above and beyond to help you achieve your dreams, Michael is the one. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
Choosing Rachel as my MBA application coach was one of the best decisions I made during this process. I purchased her hourly services and couldn’t be more grateful for the experience.
During my coach selection process, I was particularly focused on finding someone who would resonate with the work I currently do. As an older applicant with a non-traditional background, it was important to me that my coach respect my journey, be tactful yet honest, and intellectually engaged. When I spoke with Rachel, I immediately knew she was exactly who I was looking for.
Rachel is incredibly knowledgeable, calm, supportive, responsive, and insightful. She communicates concisely and effectively, offering only the most relevant and useful information. She started by providing a well-structured brainstorming document, which allowed her to get to know me in depth. She always came to our calls thoroughly prepared, and it was clear she knew my story and strengths by heart.
Rachel also has a deep understanding of the MBA admissions “game”—her strategic insights and mastery of language helped me craft essays that truly stood out (even the optional essay where I only included two bullet points!) She works incredibly fast, sometimes returning thoughtful edits within a day—even during the holiday season.
Out of the three schools I applied to, I was admitted to two—including one with a full-ride scholarship—and I ultimately committed to my dream school, NYU Stern! I can’t thank Rachel enough. She is both caring and very smart, and I felt refreshed and energized after every conversation with her. She’s more than just a coach—she’s a mentor, a thoughtful partner, and a wellspring of wisdom. I highly recommend her!
