If you want to do everything you can to win admission to a top MBA program, and you are ready to do the hard work involved in building your profile and creating great applications, Menlo Coaching can help. We have high standards and will push you hard to uncover every detail that will help you to find your voice and tell your story in the most compelling way possible.
You will never have a blind spot when you work with us. We visit campuses, interview admissions directors (see our blog), and employ a network of students to give us candid feedback about their MBA programs. We know the things that aren’t always discussed openly, like how schools manage their rankings, the side channels through which schools receive feedback on applicants, and more.
Our services combine unlimited 1:1 coaching with a self-paced curriculum that allows you to learn the basics in a way that fits your incredibly busy schedule. We also bring you together with other applicants to build your MBA network and keep your motivation high throughout the process.
To ensure the highest quality of service, we accept only a limited number of clients each year so that we can keep a low ratio of clients to coaches. Contact us as soon as you have committed to pursue an MBA and want to maximize your odds of acceptance.
Working with Pascal was one of the best decisions I made during my MBA application journey. From our very first conversation, it was clear that he brings a rare combination of strategic insight, deep industry knowledge, and a genuine commitment to helping his clients succeed.
He pushed me to dig deeper into my experiences and goals, to go beyond surface-level narratives and craft a story that felt both authentic and compelling. The journey with him was truly transformative. Through our work together, I gained the confidence to pursue what I had always wanted, entrepreneurship, but had been too afraid to name as my post-MBA goal.
His feedback was always direct, thoughtful, and incredibly actionable. He never settled for “good enough,” and that high standard ultimately made a huge difference in the strength of my application. He also held me accountable and made sure I was making consistent progress, even during periods when work was especially chaotic.
Beyond the tactical support, what stood out most was Pascal’s ability to be a true partner and sounding board. He took the time to deeply understand my background, goals, and voice, and ensured that every element, from my resume to my essays, reflected that consistently. He truly went above and beyond, and was always there to listen, even if it meant hearing me have a mini breakdown.
If you’re serious about business school and want someone who will challenge you, support you, and bring out your very best, I can’t recommend Pascal highly enough.
Yaron is very professional and has a ton of knowledge and experience in the industry, which reflects in his decisive way of working. His background makes him an ideal consultant to build a strong story for the applications! 3 M7 and 1 T10 interviews, converted 1 M7 and 1 T10!
Working with Yaron was one of the best decisions I made during the MBA application process.
Menlo/Yaron’s MBA consulting package was definitely priced at a premium compared to the packages of some of the other consultants I considered, but it was absolutely worth it. With Yaron and Menlo’s help, I was admitted to Columbia Business School, Kellogg, and Yale SOM, with scholarships from Kellogg and Yale.
Yaron pushed me to dig deep into my personal and professional experiences and helped me craft a compelling and authentic narrative using my strongest stories. He challenged me to go beyond surface-level responses and was instrumental in shaping my essays and overall application into something that would resonate with the admissions committee. He was also incredibly sharp in helping me refine my resume and overall application strategy.
Yaron was also very good about turning around essay edits quickly and was always willing to hop on the phone whenever I needed him. I never felt he was in a rush for time whenever I spoke to him and I felt he was truly committed to helping me craft the best application possible. He also was very good about giving me feedback and telling me what I needed to hear to bring out my best work forward, which is something genuinely appreciated throughout the process.
If you’re serious about applying to top MBA programs and want a consultant who will help you create the strongest possible application and maximize your chances of success, I can’t recommend Menlo and Yaron highly enough.
Pascal was instrumental in my MBA application journey. From our first call, it was evident that Pascal would be invested in the process and genuinely cared about the clients he worked with. Throughout our 9+ months of working together, he worked tirelessly to pull the best out of me through candid feedback and encouragement. And I know I wouldn’t have been able to get through the long process of applications, interviews, and ultimately acceptance to my dream school, without him.
Not only did Pascal provide excellent feedback on my essays through his keen understanding of the ins and outs of admissions committees, but his ability to make the stressful process of researching and applying to schools feel like a breeze is something I will always be grateful for. It felt like anytime I hit a snag or was afflicted by writer’s block, Pascal would know exactly what to say to nudge me in the right direction. When I submitted my applications, I was incredibly proud of the work I was putting forth and that is all a testament to Pascal.
After reading all the wonderful reviews that previous clients had left Pascal, my expectations were sky high. But to say that he greatly exceeded those expectations would be a gross understatement. He was an invaluable resource and teammate whose skills for navigating the admissions process and elevating my applications were matched by his genuine determination to help me meet my goals. He is a true professional. If I could give Pascal 10 stars on here, I would.
I cannot recommend Alice, Leslie, and the entire Menlo Coaching team highly enough–their personalized approach was instrumental in my acceptance to HBS, my top (and only) choice.
Working with Menlo early in the process was a game-changer. As an Early Bird client, I began working with Alice more than 18 months before the application deadline. This head start allowed us to strategically enhance my profile, focusing on extracurricular activities and unique projects at work that would capture the attention of admissions officers. Alice and the Menlo team really think of everything. This is not just help with filling out an application; Alice played a key role in crafting my personal narrative, ensuring I stood out from the pack.
Alice’s unwavering commitment to excellence kept me motivated throughout the application journey. She consistently challenged me to dig deeper into my experiences and aspirations, which ultimately resulted in a compelling and authentic application. By the time I finished my interview, I was confident that I’d be accepted. Honestly, I couldn’t have done it without her.
Beyond the application process, Alice has helped me develop my career goals more thoughtfully. Her mentorship provided clarity on what I aim to achieve during my time at HBS, setting a solid foundation for my next two years. I look forward to staying in touch with her while on campus.
If you’re serious about getting into a selective MBA program, stop hesitating–just reach out to Alice and the Menlo team. You won’t regret it.
I worked with Rebecca to apply to five top MBA programs. She supported me throughout the entire application process from school selection all the way to interview prep. In the end, I was accepted to my first choice, HBS!
There are lots of admissions consultants, but Rebecca is unique for a variety of reasons. Her background in journalism allows her to help you dig for your best stories. She has a warm, friendly demeanor, and is always thinking about how she can support your unique needs as you navigate a challenging process. She is flexible, and accommodated my time zone halfway around the world. But most of all, beyond the MBA applications, she truly cares about helping you chart the long-term career you aspire to. Working with Rebecca allowed me to gain self-awareness and perspective about myself as a person, and that will help me long after business school.
I strongly recommend working with Menlo Coaching and Rebecca Anderson!
I cannot recommend Alice and Leslie’s coaching services enough! With their expert guidance, I was able to gain admission to four top MBA programs in the US—a dream come true that felt daunting at first but was made achievable thanks to their support.
Alice and Leslie were an incredible team. Their complementary styles ensured that every aspect of my application was approached with precision and creativity. They were highly responsive throughout the process, always available to answer questions or provide feedback, even on short notice. Their structured approach helped me stay on track during what was undoubtedly a long and challenging journey.
One of the standout aspects of their coaching was how they empowered me to craft my own essays while ensuring I presented my story in the best possible light, especially given I am not from a traditional IB/Consulting/PE background. They helped me bring out my unique voice and experiences. Additionally, they guided me in strategizing how to effectively promote myself—not only in my essays but also during interviews. Their mock interview preparation sessions were incredibly insightful and left me feeling confident and well-prepared.
From start to finish, Alice and Leslie were by my side, offering invaluable advice and encouragement. Their expertise, professionalism, and dedication made a seemingly overwhelming process far more manageable.
If you’re considering their services, don’t hesitate—Alice and Leslie are the real deal. They genuinely care about their clients’ success and will go above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. Thanks to them, I’m heading to my dream MBA program, and I couldn’t be more grateful!
I would recommend Pascal to anyone. With his help, I was accepted to the only program I applied for (CBS). Furthermore, during the entire engagement, Pascal felt like a mentor and a friend rather than a contracted coach. He was supportive, invested in my success, and always went the extra mile. I could not have wished for a better coach!
What I think that he did especially well was that he understands very well what the AdCom were looking for at every step of the process, both in terms of strengths that you should display or concerns you should address. This really helps you focus on getting the right message across during essays and interviews. He will ask you the questions the AdCom would ask themselves while reading your profile, something I’ve found to be invaluable.
I really enjoyed working with Pascal and thanks to him get to embark on what has been a long-standing dream of mine: to live and study in New York at CBS. Thank you, Pascal!
I signed up for the early bird package with Rebecca, and I would definitely say working with her was instrumental in helping me secure multiple m7 admits while coming from an over-represented applicant pool.
Rebecca and the Menlo team as a whole have a wealth of experience with MBA admissions and will provide comprehensive support with anything you can think of, from identifying gaps, determining your goals, networking/research, essays, interview help, to even deciding between offers. They provide a structured approach that makes it easy for you to focus on adding value to your application.
What set Rebecca apart for me was that she invested time in really getting to know me, including a two hour call dedicated to you sharing your life story, and ensured that my voice and authenticity shined through in the application. It never felt like she was just following a formula or a checklist. She was open to push back and was happy to go the extra mile and through additional revisions to ensure I was happy with the final application. It felt that Rebecca genuinely cared about my success and it showed in her great attention to detail.
I firmly believe that wherever you may be in your MBA application journey, working with Rebecca and the menlo team will lead to better outcomes.
I started the MBA application process with the goal of being accepted to my dream school. Working with Pascal not only led to this but also served as the genesis for a life long friendship.
Pascal is extremely passionate about what he does. Money aside, he derives inherent value out of helping his clients and elevating them to success. He’s real, he speaks the truth (obviously in a tactful way tailored to his client’s personality). Being past the process, I realized this is exactly what prospective candidates need – someone to manage their expectations while guiding them through a mentally debilitating and confusing process, he is the “Shepherd”.
His assistance is anything but surface level. We met every week for over 6 months (he also made himself available via email/text outside our meetings). His affinity for asking questions and his own level of introspection are unmatched. He helped me learn more about myself, especially how my story informs my dreams and how the MBA fits into this multi-variable equation. I could talk to Pascal about anything for hours on end.
Towards the end of the process, Pascal made sure to emphasize that if the results were not in my favor, he wasn’t going to abandon me should I attempt to apply again. A true attestation to his dedication to those he helps.
We’re going to Booth in the Fall! I couldn’t have done it without Pascal’s help. A bittersweet ending to our time together.
Pascal is an amazing consultant, and I can’t recommend him enough if you’re looking for someone who’s honest, transparent, and really wants to help you reach your goals. He knows MBA admissions inside and out, extremely intelligent, an exceptional listener and genuinely cares about his clients. He is such a great guy, who I can now call a friend, and cannot express in words how lucky I am to have worked with him.
I talked to a few consultants before meeting Pascal, and after just one conversation with him, I knew immediately he was the right choice. He never sugarcoated his opinions, hid anything, or pressured me into decisions I wasn’t comfortable with. Instead, he provided candid and invaluable feedback on each program I was considering, always prioritizing my best interests. The advice only continued as we began working together.
My path to a top MBA program wasn’t easy—I didn’t go to a “target” undergrad school, didn’t have a “traditional” career path, and my GMAT and GRE scores were not stellar. But Pascal helped me shape my story in a way that would help me stand out to admissions teams at top schools. I honestly don’t think I would have had nearly as good a shot without his guidance. He was always there to answer my questions, point out important details I might have missed, check in on how I was feeling, and keep me grounded when I started to worry.
I ended up only applying to my top choice (INSEAD), and got in—I am over the moon with the outcome!
Pascal and Menlo go above and beyond with everything—from resume reviews and mock interviews to networking tips and advice on parts of the admissions process you might overlook. I’m so glad I chose to work with Pascal.
Thank you again, Pascal!
As I embarked on my MBA application journey, I knew it would be as challenging as preparing for an Ironman. I started with the early bird package at Menlo and began working with Pascal, not realizing how pivotal his role would be. Our weekly meetings quickly became deep dives into my life – covering everything from family and work to my dedication to sports. Through this process, Pascal came to know me better than many of my closest friends.
What began as a professional relationship evolved into a friendship, so much so that I traveled to Amsterdam to celebrate my acceptance to Columbia University with him. Pascal’s empathetic nature and ability to create a space where I could embrace my vulnerabilities allowed us to uncover the stories that truly resonated with admissions committees.
His guidance led to my acceptance at two Ivy League schools and two M7 schools. Pascal worked tirelessly, often late into the night, and was always flexible and available. I am incredibly grateful for his support and have nothing but high recommendations for him.
Menlo Coaching and Pascal were the best thing that could have happened to me through my MBA application experience. The 10-month coaching experience helped me beyond getting the offer.
Thanks to Pascal’s approach, I was encouraged to think about my career choices and long-term aspirations more deeply and practically. Thanks to his extensive experience in the field, Pascal’s advice when it comes to MBA admissions is extremely insightful. It goes a long way in not only helping me write good essays but also rationally structure my career plans.
We spent around 5 sessions digging into my personality and goals, throughout which Pascal asked inquisitive questions that turned out to be deeply inspiring, much like talk therapy conducted by a professional life coach. He also remains very responsive throughout the 10-month marathon, answering my questions with care every time despite our time difference.
Additionally, I want to mention my experience with Menlo Coaching at large. They were very professional and organized in their approach to helping candidates prepare. Besides Pascal, I also worked with Maya Parikh – another consultant at Menlo, on other application pieces like resumes and recommendation letters. Maya was similarly competent in the items she helped me with. She and others in the Menlo team were instrumental to my success.
I cannot speak highly enough of Rebecca who guided me through the daunting process of applying to business school. From the moment I connected with her, it was clear that she possessed a combination of thoughtfulness, efficiency, and expertise that proved invaluable throughout the application process.
Rebecca’s guidance during the essay-writing process was truly exceptional. Not only did she provide insightful feedback and suggestions, but she had a skill for helping me articulate my thoughts and experiences in a compelling manner.
One of Rebecca’s standout qualities was her ability to keep me on task, despite my busy schedule. She understood the demands of my professional life and ensured I stayed focused and met crucial deadlines without feeling overwhelmed.
Beyond Rebecca’s professional expertise, she was kind, approachable, and incredibly smart. She took the time to understand my aspirations and motivations, offering personalized guidance every step of the way. Rebecca’s professionalism and dedication were evident in every interaction, and I always felt supported and encouraged.
Thanks to Rebecca, I achieved an amazing outcome – acceptance into all three business schools to which I applied. I am immensely grateful for Rebecca’s contributions to my journey and would wholeheartedly recommend her services to anyone applying to business school.
I worked with Menlo for almost 9 months from GMAT prep to acceptance and waitlist at top MBA schools. Prior to working with Menlo, I spoke to several consultants and friends about their process. My biggest fear is that I would be given a few worksheets, speak with them once a month, and ultimately not get the support I wanted.
Pascal and Menlo blew me away. They were present at every single stage. Pascal and Menlo know exactly what a great resume looks like and we spent about 2 months revising my resume. During this time Pascal really got to know my background inside and out.
When working on recommendations, Menlo worked directly with my recommenders to ensure they captured the very best of my work ethic and personality. I felt comfortable as they sent out their recommendations to my schools that I was going to be represented in a way that showed my best qualities.
Pascal worked with me on my essays over 4-5 months. We wrote and re-wrote essays to be used for over 10 schools. He provided me in depth guidance on how to adapt my schools for my 3 chosen schools to the 7 I applied to. He knew when to push me to find a new anecdote or story and when to include certain details. He helped me brainstorm questions for networking and cold emailing students to speak to. I am so proud of the essays we wrote and our process.
And finally for interviews, I was able to work with several people at Menlo. I was able to conduct mock interviews with Maya and Obinna which really helped me practice my answers and show my best self.
Menlo is a community. I had access to all of the students who worked with Menlo and I hope you work with Pascal because I can’t wait to speak with you about the process.
I am excited to attend NYU Stern this fall and I hope to see you there.
There is only one word to describe my experience with Pascal – amazing!
Pascal has a vast amount of experience from his time in admissions and knows what makes your profile stand out. But what really sets Pascal apart from other admissions consultants is that he is genuinely invested in your success. It felt like I was Pascal’s only client. He is very easy to work with and will go the extra mile to make sure that you get your best shot at b-school. Pascal was always ready to help me tweak an essay or hop on a call to do interview prep. He truly lived through the b-school application process with me.
In the end, I got into all of my target programs. I don’t think I could have done it without him – thanks Pascal!
I heard about Menlo from two contacts who had positive experience previously. I also knew some domestic consultants in my home country, but I decided to go for Pascal and Menlo for their approach.
During my time working with Pascal, I didn’t feel that I was going through a stressful process to get all application materials ready, but it was rather a wonderful mentoring experience: When I wrote my essays, instead of telling me what I should write about or what are each school’s characteristics that I need to highlight, Pascal taught me how to network with current students and alumni to figured that out myself (we got plenty of time to do this exploration since I signed up for the early bird package). For my personal story, Pascal genuinely listened to my life and upbringing and we put together the best pieces. This process also made me realize how my past shaped who I am and who I want to be in the future. I also switched job during the application process, and we discussed whether that was a good move together.
I received 3 offers and 3 WLs out of the the 8 schools I applied to (M7 except GSB, Yale and LBS) in R2. One M7 school offered me scholarship as well! It has been a great pleasure working with Pascal and I really appreciated his coaching along this journey!
As a non-traditional MBA candidate, I knew I faced unique challenges in the admissions process. Pascal proved to be the perfect guide for my journey. From the start, he took the time to delve deep into my career motivations and stories, helping me to articulate them compellingly. His dedication to understanding my background and aspirations was evident in every interaction.
Pascal is an exceptional mentor. He was always available when I needed him, providing timely and thoughtful feedback. Together, we crafted a robust strategy for my applications, ensuring that every detail of my essays and application materials was polished to perfection. His attentiveness to even the minutest aspects was remarkable.
As an anxious person, I often doubted myself, but Pascal’s unwavering belief in me was a constant source of encouragement. He pushed me to be bolder in presenting my achievements and aspirations, which significantly boosted my confidence. His support extended beyond the application phase, as he also helped me prepare thoroughly for my interviews.
Thanks to Pascal’s expert guidance, I received scholarships and fellowships from top MBA programs, including M7 schools, totaling nearly $400,000. His assistance was invaluable in navigating difficult situations during the application process, and he was instrumental in negotiating offers from various schools. Ultimately, he helped me choose the program that best aligns with my goals and aspirations.
I cannot recommend Pascal highly enough. He is an intelligent, empathetic, and dedicated consultant who goes above and beyond for his clients. If you seek someone who will not only guide you through your MBA application journey but also believe in your potential and help you realize your dreams, Pascal is the consultant you need.
In the second round, I applied to eight schools, got into six of them, and got into two WLs. I could not have achieved this and gotten into nearly all of my dream schools without Jarret’s support and help.
I’d say one of the most notable traits of Jarret is his work efficiency and work ethic. He made sure he had his contact open 24/7 so whenever I needed something from him, he could give me support/advice as soon as possible. The advisor was never late on anything during our consultation, and he delivered feedback really quickly.
What I also appreciate from this Advisor is his ability to help me tailor my story and truly stand from my perspectives to customize my application strategies in terms of essay, interview, and school selection. He is very professional and sophisticated with various applicants.
Lastly, Jarret gave me lots of confidence and energy during the entire application journey. I always feel more secure and confident in myself after talking to him. That helps me a lot when I am stressed about the results. Overall, he is a 5-star consultant and definitely worthy of the consultation fee.
I decided to apply for my MBA in August and had to balance an extremely demanding job, taking the GMAT/GRE multiple times, and working on applications for the R2 deadline. Applying from an over-represented ethnic group and career background with a less than stellar GPA, the process felt very discouraging, but Rebecca helped me navigate my perceived obstacles and put my best foot forward.
Rebecca helped me highlight the strongest parts of my background and experiences and craft a strong and cohesive narrative. She was instrumental in refining my story to make sure that I emphasized the many unique and positive aspects of my application. Her encouragement and supportive communication style made our working sessions seamless and productive. Most importantly, I could tell that she genuinely cared about my success and outcomes, and she was extremely motivating every step of the way. Rebecca’s personal and empathetic approach to this process was the key differentiator in helping me highlight my true, authentic self in my applications. When she thought additional input would be helpful to my case, she proactively collaborated with David from the Menlo team to help further shape my career goals essay. Overall, Rebecca worked in a very organized manner and kept me accountable.
I truly believe working with Rebecca enabled me to submit my strongest application and ultimately earn acceptance to my dream MBA program. I cannot recommend Rebecca and the Menlo team enough, especially if you want to feel confident that you’ve showcased your best self!
I started my MBA process two months before R2 deadlines, incredibly unsure about how the application process worked, and needing someone to help guide me through the process. I got connected to Jarrett, and it was an instant connection on goal alignment from day 1. Jarrett was instrumental in keeping me on track with my essays and providing insightful tips into the differences between the MBA programs I was applying to. While working together, it felt that we were always in lockstep about the upcoming deadlines and tasks needed to be complete between sessions. He took a very daunting process and made everything flow seamlessly and effortlessly.
I was selective in the schools that I wanted to apply to: 4 programs within the M7. Ultimately, I was accepted to 3 of those 4 schools, and ended up getting admitted to the top choice on my list entering the process. Jarrett was incredible with helping me prepare for interviews and was professional + responsive at all hours throughout the process, including answering all the little questions I had along the way.
At the end of the day, I could not imagine working with a better consultant, and would very highly recommend him to anyone looking to get into their top programs. His advice and work approach was top-notch and invaluable in a way where it was very clear to me that he was playing at a level that was above and beyond.
I hired Brooke relatively late, given that I wanted to apply first round for my top choice program. While Brooke was honest in calibrating my expectations, she was supportive of my ambitious strategy, which I appreciated.
I was worried that we would not have enough time to iterate on my resume and essays as much as I would have liked, but this was not the case at all. Brooke was highly responsive, turning over both detailed and high level comments on my drafts within less than a day of me sending materials to her. She was also readily available for Zoom calls. She helped me restructure and refine my resume, which allowed me to pack in more information. She also helped me outline what I would write, which helped my essays be more focused from the start.
Overall, Brooke is responsive, focused, and straightforward. I found her feedback and strategies very helpful in improving the quality of my application and would recommend her to others applying for competitive MBA programs.
Coming from an overrepresented background, I knew I had to make my application stand out in some way. She did a great job helping me craft a compelling story tailored to each school. She was always very responsive and knowledgeable, and if she didn’t know the answer, she would always check with her colleagues to get me the best information possible. She stayed in contact through the whole process including helping with waitlist letters which got me off the Booth waitlist. I was very happy with my results and admission into 2 M7s out of my 3 applications.
I connected with Pascal after I got rejected with no interview when I applied directly to several M7 schools. From my first contact with Pascal, I realized that he genuinely cares about my story. He took a generous amount of time to understand me as a person, and by doing so, he was able to act as a perfect coach to support me in crafting and presenting my story. Throughout the process, I never felt rushed. Pascal provided me ample time to reflect and effective comments to further strengthen my draft. This process allows me to produce powerful essays, in my voice, with my personal story, that is relevant in the context of the MBA application process. During the interview preparation process, Pascal provided me ample opportunities to practice through mock interviews. As a final result, I received interview invitations from 2 schools out of HSW, of which I successfully converted one into an admission offer. I wholeheartedly recommend Pascal to anyone interested in perfecting their personal MBA admission story.
Working with Rebecca was a life changing experience – I truly couldn’t have done this application process without her. Menlo has the MBA process down to a science: from the initial consulting call to the project management of application tasks to prepping for the interview; I felt supported every step of the way. Rebecca is the incredible consultant that I had the privilege of working with; she brought the right balance of positivity and feedback to each call we had. Rebecca has a gift of being able to work with each candidate and pull out their unique story and the details that come with it. Rebecca pushed me to explore stories about myself that I never previously gave a second thought, and she worked with me to expand and provide details to form a great narrative. In low moments, Rebecca never lost her confidence in my candidacy; she never failed to give me the support I needed, even when I didn’t ask for it explicitly. Rebecca was my biggest cheerleader! She celebrated each of my acceptances to b-school, and even provided tips on how to weigh out schools and scholarship advice. My partner, who is in medical school, envied my close collaboration with Rebecca and the Menlo team, and often commented how he wished Menlo offered services for medical school admissions and residency applications. I couldn’t have asked for a better consultant to help me with this process and would recommend Rebecca to anyone looking to boost their application!
Obinna is absolutely wonderful! I worked with him as a part of Menlo Consulting. The interview prep was invaluable. Obinna facilitated a full mock interview that was spot on when it came to atmosphere, demeanor, questions, and flow. He was very attentive and gave very concrete, constructive, and specific advice on my performance. Aside from the mock interview itself, Obinna was a great mentor and provided very personal support throughout the MBA application process, something I think most applicants forget as important during their applications. He provided comfort.
I decided to apply for MBA fairly late in the process (fully committed end of August for December R2) and had to balance between studying / taking the GMAT and working on applications, all while being at a full-time job in PE.
Rebecca was instrumental in not only the project management aspects of the process (e.g. organizing workstreams, to-dos, and when to do what), but also in the journey of refining my MBA story to make sure I put the absolute best foot forward in my applications. Her supportive communication style made our working sessions absolutely fluid and seamless, and her flexibility made it extremely easy for me to work within my own schedule and working style. Most importantly, I can tell that she genuinely cared about my success and outcomes.
In the end I got accepted at Wharton, Booth, CBS, and Kellogg. Really couldn’t have done it without Rebecca’s support and mentorship!
Working with Rebecca and the Menlo team truly changed my MBA application experience for the better. I couldn’t have done it without her! Being a nontraditional applicant with a less than stellar GPA, I needed a lot of support crafting my story in a way that would appeal to adcom. Rebecca helped me highlight the strongest parts of my experience and craft a narrative that was cohesive and strong. Working with Rebecca ultimately resulted in 5 admittances to top programs, including 2 M7s and over $400K total scholarship awards.
Support from Rebecca begins as early as helping to select schools that are both strong fits and a mix of reach/target programs. Rebecca helped me navigate networking conversations in a way that allowed me to collect valuable information that was later used in my essays and interviews. She reviewed each of my applications in extreme detail and spent countless hours with me preparing for each of my interviews. She was also incredibly patient and understanding in answering all of my questions and anxieties about the application process. Rebecca truly brings a personal and empathetic approach to the process that is difficult to find amongst MBA consultants and it was comforting to feel like I had a friend in my corner.
Reflecting back on the process, I absolutely believe that working with Rebecca was one of the primary factors that contributed to my numerous acceptances and large scholarship awards. Thanks to her help, I had the privilege of choosing between a number of top programs and committing to the one I think is the best fit for me.
Working with Rebecca and the Menlo team was worth every penny and I cannot recommend them enough if you are beginning your application journey!
Starting out the process was daunting. Alice and team ensured I was able to focus on what mattered, I didn’t have to worry about everything that still needed to be done, I just focused on the next deadline. The whole process didn’t just get me a spot in the program I wanted, it also helped me get a much clearer picture of what I want to get out of it. Alice and team really went beyond what I expected and really supported on the areas where I needed support: time management, making my career goals more concrete, how to present your achievements clearly in your resume
I applied to 8 schools in Round 1, and I didn’t have a full understanding of the application process, nor did I have an idea of which schools were a perfect fit for my profile and my goals.
I was choosing between 3 consultants; the introductory call with Jarrett was the first and fortunately the last. I immediately realized that I would be very comfortable working with the him, we would get everything done in a short time frame, and in the way I envisioned it.
We started to get things done the same week. Jarrett understood my personal story, experience and goals as deeply as possible, we approved a set of schools accordingly (mostly M7), Jarrett was highly professional and ready to support 24/7. In the end I was rejected by only one school (in the middle of my wishlist) and accepted to my dream school.
I don’t regret a single minute of working with Jarrett, my intuition and working together undeniably paid off. I recommend anyone who is serious about applying to an MBA program and eager to dedicate time and effort – to work with Jarrett and give him the opportunity to change your life, just as he changed mine.
Despite a good GPA in undergrad, I had yet to secure a good GMAT score and had mediocre work experience (3 different jobs without an increase in pay or promotions). While all other consultants told me that a top 10 MBA program would be impossible (which was quite demoralizing), Rebecca, on the other hand, was honest about the parts of my application I needed to improve to stand any chance. At that moment I knew she was the right consultant for me.
In addition to having all the qualities of an exceptional consultant, I thought I’d mention some personal examples that made working with her truly unique:
1. She takes a genuine interest in making sure her clients stay focused and committed to the process. When I was struggling to get a good GMAT score, she kept an entire session with me to teach meditation techniques to calm exam anxiety. Even when I couldn’t focus on writing essays due to personal reasons, she was very mindful, not only allowing me to take some days off but also sharing some personal examples of how she continues to write through distracting periods.
2. I was moving to another country right around the application deadlines and Rebecca ensured that my applications were reviewed and submitted in advance. She works in a very organized manner with clear deadlines and a roadmap of what needs to be achieved. This helped me feel accountable, plan my tasks, and ensure I wasn’t panicking closer to application deadlines.
3. When I first met Rebecca, I truly had no idea of what my post-MBA career plans were. Working with her helped me determine my post-MBA career goals. In addition to providing me with helpful resources about different career paths, she also connected me with past clients.
4. When one of my interviews didn’t go too well, she took time to meet within a day’s notice to help me prepare for my other upcoming interviews. Even after my acceptance, she has kept in touch and has been giving me tips on how to best prepare myself before joining.
5. For interviews and video essays, she makes sure to perfect even the smallest details (background, attire, camera angle, zoom level, lighting), truly maximizing the interview ROI.
6. Finally, I found the writing process with her to be so introspective that interview preparation became much easier. The majority of the interview questions I got asked were ones we had already discussed during our writing process.
Thank you, Rebecca!
Six months before the R1 deadlines, I started the application journey grappling with self-doubts. Coming from an over-represented ethnic and career background with limited extracurricular involvement due to a demanding job, I received discouraging feedback from many MBA consultants who tried to paint a bleak picture, until I met Rebecca. With her gentle and caring attitude, she listened to my goals (which were HSW), acknowledged them and gave me very objective advice on how we can try to achieve them together, without overpromising or downplaying the likelihood of success. Finally, it felt like I’ve found a companion who will stride through this journey with me. During the process, I really liked the structured step-by-step approach, which made each stage a lot easier to achieve. I deeply appreciate Rebecca’s insights in helping me discover more about myself and past experiences, and how those experiences shaped me as a person. She made me realize that there are causes I truly care about and that I’ve done a lot more than I thought. Rebecca is a talented writer, however she tailors her approach for different applicants and under different circumstances. She made sure that the voice coming across my essays was authentic, giving me enough freedom yet critical guidance to draft cohesive and powerful pieces. At the end of the application process, I even built confidence in writing which has always been a painful activity for me being a non-native English speaker. On the other hand, when it is time sensitive (for example when I had to submit my post-interview reflection for HBS in 24hrs), she did not mind working on the weekends and gave me top-notch editing advice. This process can be daunting, but I’m grateful to have chosen to work with Rebecca, who has helped me establish confidence, paved the path to my dream school and enabled me to mature as a person along the way. If you are looking for a first-class consultant, a friend and a counsellor, Rebecca is the one. Hope your application journey is as fruitful as mine.
Working with Rebecca truly made the R1 application process a breeze. Balancing a demanding career in consulting, Rebecca provided guidance throughout every stage of the application process, ensuring I stayed focused and on schedule. She pinpointed essential aspects for me to emphasize in my essays and assisted in crafting a cohesive life narrative. As the interview approached, the backing of the entire Menlo Coaching team was indispensable in ensuring I felt self-assured and thoroughly ready. Ultimately, I was accepted to 5 out of 6 schools I applied to (Booth, Kellogg, Sloan, Tuck, Yale SOM), and I could not have imagined having the same outcomes if I hadn’t had Rebecca guiding me at each step of the process. For me, working with Rebecca was a worthwhile investment I do not regret making. Thank you Rebecca!!
Working with Rebecca should be a no-brainer decision. I was initially very nervous starting this process as I was coming from an overrepresented applicant pool, but throughout the admission cycle Rebecca was always in my corner. I could always go to her with any question and she would promptly answer. She also helped me stay very organized throughout the application process, making sure that I completed every part of my application with a lot of time to spare for reviews. She always kept the bar for all my essays really high but was also always there with me when I needed to dig deep to craft compelling stories. Rebecca is a super woman who will be your biggest supporter while providing you with the tools to succeed on your applicant journey. Thank you so much Rebecca, couldn’t have done this without you.
Kellogg was my “far-fetched” fantasy, because I’m a male engineer with a below-average GPA and GMAT/GRE in an overrepresented pool. I still remember how shocked I was when my Kellogg acceptance came, and I credit all my success to Rebecca. Working with her is one of the best decisions I’ve made in my life. She steers and advises on every single detail that’s related to my application, and she is extremely responsive on every big or small question I have – a way of working that’s not common in the industry.
Understanding my profile, Rebecca proactively suggested extracurricular activities aligned with my true interests, making me a more interesting applicant in the eyes of the adcom. When it came to crafting my story, Rebecca dedicated numerous hours solely to listening and understanding my life experiences. She then suggested stories tailored for prompts from different schools. Despite numerous essay revisions, Rebecca consistently provided quick and helpful feedback.
What surprised me the most about Rebecca is her attention to detail. She not only advised on major components like resumes and essays but also on minor details like my outfit and conversation during campus visits, the background and chair setting for interviews, the content in my application forms, and even my email communication with the adcom. While each detail alone may not be a deal-breaker, their cumulative impact carries significant weight. Following Rebecca's tips, I believe these details were critical factors that helped me stand out in such a competitive round.
Another aspect that sets Rebecca apart is her dedication to engaging and guiding my recommenders in writing strong Letters of Recommendation – not a typical service in the industry. Since my recommenders had never written an LoR for an MBA application, let alone a strong one, Rebecca's help was invaluable in ensuring they understood the level of recommendation needed.
Even after securing my admissions, Rebecca continued to provide advice on scholarship requests and waitlist strategies, proactively laying down a decision strategy in the end. Reflecting on my journey, I feel incredibly happy and lucky to have worked with Rebecca. To me, she is truly a magician who has changed my life for the better.
I am a Canadian male MBA applicant. I did not come from generational wealth, and was working a job that provides me a good — not great — income. The Menlo Coaching price tag was certainly daunting, but I whole-heartedly recommend Menlo’s service.
The Menlo team puts in the work and becomes your champion. They value the money and time that their clients put in, and expect a lot from you.
I found Alice to be more than just an MBA Admissions coach, but a guide and mentor. She pushed me to be a better professional, and live up to my potential. She helped me recognize my own weaknesses, and provided steps on how to make improvements in my professional life.
I was a part of the Early Bird package with Alice, and worked wtih her for ~1.5 years. Alice helped skyrocket my profile during this time, to make me a much more compelling candidate.
Alice has also assembled a team of experts to help with different parts of the application. For example, I worked with no fewer than 5 experts on her team, like Leslie who specifically helped uncover and shape my story for the personal essays, and Maya who helped with resume reviews. I appreciated having a suite of different skillsets and viewpoints at my disposal, with Alice remaining the singular main point of contact that oversaw my candidacy in its entirety. It felt like a very smooth process, and I was always in good hands.
In the end, I was accepted into 3 schools, with scholarships at two schools: 1. Dartmouth Tuck, $40K in scholarships. 2. Northwestern Kellogg, $30K in scholarships (bumped up with Alice’s guidance!) 3. MIT Sloan
I am 100% confident that I would not have achieved this stellar outcome without the expert knowledge and support that Menlo Coaching provided. Thank you Alice!
In a nutshell: if you want an extremely professional consultant that is genuinely interested about you and your situation, that looks to build a trustful relationship and that will help you outperform and being admitted to your dream MBA programs, then Alice is the right person for you. Before choosing Alice, I had calls with several other consultants. Beyond expertise and reliability, the most important factor that led me to select her was the fact that, unlike others, she showed genuine interest about my unique personal situation. She was the ONLY consultant that did not answer to all my questions with standard answers that I could have perfectly found online myself. As it turned out, this aspect was key, as my very successful MBA application journey depended not just on Alice’s technical expertise, but also on her encouragement, support and trust on my possibilities throughout the entire process (believe me, do not underestimate the psychological aspect of such a journey. You wouldn’t want to work with someone for whom you are just a profit). First of all, unlike other consultants, Alice agreed to start working with me more than a year before the formal application process started. Due to my low GPA and somehow unimpressive professional achievements, this turned out to be key, as she helped me define actions and goals that exponentially increased my chances of admission. Not just that, but she also monitored and ensured that I was sticking to the plan. During the application process itself, she and her team from Menlo offered genuine feedback and answered any of my doubts almost immediately. No matter at what time I sent an email, Alice seemed to be always in front of her laptop. I worked hard on my applications, but they worked as hard as I did. Leslie, from Alice’s team, deserves a special mention, as she helped me craft superb essays with a simple yet convincing style. And of course, after sending out all the applications, Alice and her team helped me as much as they could preparing for interviews, with incredible resources and expert coaching. To my surprise, I got admitted to two M7 schools and to a top European program. But unsurprisingly at this point, Alice did not disappear, but instead helped me select the most fitting school and define my next steps towards my career goals. In addition, she shared a bunch of very helpful resources that she tailored for me. To summarize, I recommend Alice and her team to anyone looking for an extremely professional consultant for whom the client is not just a profit or number, but rather an individual with an own personal story, with unique strengths and weaknesses. I owe Alice my successful application journey, and as such, I have not once regretted my choice.
I first decided I wanted an MBA ~14 months before the R1 cycle. I had a low GPA (<3.3), low involvement in extracurriculars, below average GMAT, mediocre work experience and came from a very competitive demographic, but wanted to go to a top 10 business school. I had initial consults with various top MBA consultants and was told that (1) a Top 10 program was not possible with my stats and (2) to come back closer to the cycle.
My initial interaction with Rebecca from Menlo Coaching was very different. She took time to get to know my story, my career goals, and my background before working with me to research and create a school list. She told me what we would need to accomplish over the next 12 months that could help us get more aggressive with that list – and more importantly the process and structure that we would take on.
Over the next 12 months, I followed Rebecca's processes and advice to get my GMAT up, work on my extracurriculars, interact with schools/students, and even switch teams on the career front. Rebecca's strong writing background helped me carve a narrative from our career and personal story sessions together, a portion of the applications I was most worried about as I had nothing special in my personal story.
I ended up applying to 6 schools – all in the Top 10 – and getting into an M7, and I attribute this success to Rebecca. I couldn't recommend working with her highly enough. She truly cares as a coach and has always advised me on what is best for me, MBA or otherwise. Even after the decision, she continues to help me navigate waitlists and negotiate scholarships. The entire process of working with her not only left me with an MBA admit at a dream school, but also deeper clarity on why I was pursuing one and where I want to be longer term.
Working with Rebecca is a no-regret decision!
I spoke to many counsellors beforehand, but Rebecca stood out due to her comprehensive knowledge on B-Schools and her warm and friendly attitude. She has been both a mentor and friend throughout the application process. Rebecca ensured that each step of the process was approached in a structured manner and completed before time. She helped me make difficult decisions and even scheduled a 2-hour personal call to craft my personal story. From selecting schools to refining my resume, crafting my essays, and ultimately submitting my applications, Rebecca’s guidance was indispensable. And the results speak volumes – I received admits from 5/5 schools (HBS, GSB Stanford, Wharton, Kellogg, MIT Sloan).
Thank you Rebecca for believing in me. I could not have done this without you!
Brooke worked with me on crafting MBA applications for four business schools across the M7/T10/T15 range, and helped me get admitted into all four programs. She did a great job of helping me build applications that would resonate with the admissions officers and potential interviewers that would be reading my file. Brooke’s time working in the admissions office at Berkeley Haas gave her a unique understanding of the MBA application process, and her knowledge in the field enabled her to share unique insights on how to tell my story in a way that would allow my genuine self and my passion for each school shine through.
Brooke was very responsive throughout the process, consistently following up on my questions as well as resume and essay revisions in a timely manner, and even occasionally sending updates in evenings and on weekends to accommodate my schedule. She was also very hands-on when working with me on my applications, setting up Zoom calls on short notice for us to chat through questions in real time and make edits on my resume and essays.
If you are an applicant looking for someone who will provide both complimentary and critical feedback on your application while working closely with you at every step of the way, Brooke would be a great fit for you.
Jarrett was the primary consultant that helped me with my MBA applications. He was incredible in helping me understand what elite MBA programs were looking for so that I could refine my story and craft my essays accordingly. Jarrett was flexible, thoughtful, detailed, and strategic in helping me build an application that was both authentic to who I am and specific to each school positioning me to be extremely successful in the application process. He is also just a really great and likeable guy and really cares about his clients. With Jarrett’s guidance, I had more success than I could have imagined in the MBA process receiving acceptances to two M7 schools as well as a full scholarship to another T10. I would highly recommend Jarrett to anyone thinking of pursuing an MBA as I can ensure you that he will guarantee you are giving yourself the best possible odds at top tier acceptances.
Reflecting on my successful application to HBS (Class of ’26) – I am under no illusions that it would not have in any way been possible without Leslie. Leslie completely raises the standard for what it means to submit a great B-School application. She does this with (1) care, (2) dedication and (3) as a trusted advisor.
Leslie CARES
1. My background as a MBB consultant with limited additional experience puts me in a category of applicant where it was difficult to differentiate myself. But Leslie cared to fully understand and help co-create a compelling story, using her experience (and 100s of successful applications) to pitch it to the HBS adcoms. In total we must have gone through >30 revisions of the key essay. And at every stage I felt like Leslie would go over and beyond for me, and would not settle for anything less than perfect.
2. Leslie’s style of working, through iteration and discussion, meant at no point did the process feel overwhelming, and we together got to the very essence of why I was applying to business school, and specifically HBS. She ensured I did not settle for a story that was convincing but didn’t feel like it was me. It was a process of learning and discovery. The end product was both something that was convincing, in the right style/tone for B-school and that I could tell showed what was unique about me to the adcom.
Leslie is DEDICATED
3. Leslie has many clients but I always felt like I was her first priority (and I know her other clients would have felt the same). For example, I was going on holiday for a few weeks and wanted this to be an intense period where we got through lots of iterations. Leslie worked around this and I would send her materials in the evening, which she would review overnight for me to work on again in the morning.
4. Leslie works with an entire team at Menlo coaching – together it felt like there was an entire group of people rooting for me who had my back. For example, when I re-took the GMAT Leslie set me up for 1-on-1 time with a GMAT expert, I mock interviewed with other people in the organisation, and the co-founder of Menlo, Alice, helped lead on the parts of the application where she was better suited (discuss and brainstorming career goals and CV), given she also came from Consulting. Leslie and her team were entirely dedicated to me. At no point did it feel transactional, it felt like a momumental team effort.
Leslie (and Menlo) are trusted advisors
5. Leslie (and Menlo) told me the truth, even if it wasn’t necessarily something I wanted to hear. Early on in the process, it looked like given various promotions/the time frame that it would make sense for me to wait a year to apply to HBS. Clearly, this was not in Menlo’s interest (they would have delayed one of their clients by a year without filling my spot), but they gave this advice anyway because based on my situation it was the right advice. In the end (after a discussion, and a greatly improved GMAT score) I applied in the 2023 R1, but I was extremely happy knowing that Menlo were always prepared to tell me the truth, rather than what I wanted to hear. My success was their only KPI, and they truly had my best interests at heart throughout the entire process.
6. They advised me to re-take GMAT, and improve from a 740 to a 770. They knew I didn’t want to do this (who wants to re-take GMAT!) but they had a hunch I could do even better and they knew we would have enough time to get through the other parts of the application. I completely trusted Leslie and her team.
In sum, the service at Menlo is not cheap, but if you want to work with the best and give yourself the greatest possible change of getting into the b-school of your dreams then I highly recommend you to work with Menlo – and Leslie specifically. She is a fantastic advisor, and a great, friendly, optimistic person who was a delight to work with over 9+ months. She will push you to be the best possible version of yourself, and will make sure the ride is as stress-free and enjoyable at the same time.
As someone who didn’t know what to expect from the MBA consulting process, Pascal wildly exceeded all expectations and, in no small part, became my greatest cheerleader throughout the process. As someone who genuinely didn’t think they had what it took to get accepted to my reach school, Pascal not only helped me believe in myself but devised a deftly crafted roadmap to help me attain this goal. All this he did while being one of the kindest, most generous people I’ve had the pleasure to get to know. I’m thankful not just for his immense help in getting me into Wharton, but his friendship and generosity along the way. I sincerely believe the MBA application process is not just a destination, but a journey, and I absolutely recommend Pascal to be your guide and consultant as you take this important step.
I couldn’t speak any more highly of Obinna! I worked with Obinna as part of my Menlo package. We had one session prior to my CBS and Wharton interviews, and I received offers to both schools. A 2/2 success, wahoo! I recruited for Investment Banking while I was in college and thought I had been familiar with the BQ interview process, and Obinna definitely took me to a higher level. He was patient and super clear with his instructions and made me feel at ease as soon as we started the conversation (even when I was somewhat unprepared walking into our session). He helped me analyze my answers and walked me through how he would have done things differently. I could see myself using some of the points he highlighted in future job interviews as well! He was also kind enough to provide edits / comments to my answer drafts.
Alice is amazing, full stop. The hype is real; working with Alice will help you achieve your MBA goals.
When I first approached Menlo Coaching, I’d read how successful Alice was with placing her clients into top programs. At first, I was skeptical – having gone through the process now, I’m completely convinced that Alice is preternaturally gifted at pushing her clients towards top MBA admissions. Her ability to learn about her clients quickly and deeply as well as her propensity to push them to reflect productively results empowers them to tell their story with confidence.
I will say though, working with Alice is not for the faint of heart. She will push you to re-write over and over again if she’s not happy with the materials. If something isn’t working in your essays, she will tell you and never compromise on quality. In my case, she pushed me to take the GMAT 5 times until I received an exceptional score. All worth it in the end.
For those of you who may be concerned about the cost – trust me, it’s well worth it. In my case, her services paid for themselves with a hefty scholarship at Wharton that would allow me to graduate debt / loan free upon graduation. Sign with her and don’t look back. You’re in good hands.
I’d spoken to a lot of different advisors from multiple consulting firms before deciding on Pascal and Menlo. All of the advisors were professional and knowledgeable about the MBA admission process. Pascal was different – the warmth and energy that radiates from his is tangible. He is not only incredibly well versed in the art of MBA applications but is candid, thoughtful and a joy to be around. We worked together for 8+ months, from school selection to resume drafting and interviews. Pascal was there EVERY step of the way. Most importantly, our relationship grew from client-consultant to actual friendship. In the end, I secured multiple M7 offers, none of which would have been possible with Pascal. To those of you considering other admissions firms or other consultants – go with Pascal. You’ll gain much more than admits to your dream school. You’ll gain a supporter, a confidant and a friend.
I hired Brooke to guide me through my applications to a couple of M7 MBA programs. Brooke’s experience working for UC-Berkeley Haas’ admissions team combined with her private sector experience helped me tailor my application essays towards both educators and business professionals. Brooke quickly identified industry-specific jargon words within my essays and taught me how to explain concepts better to a general audience. Brooke’s versatility helped me craft essays covering my experiences in business from a behavioral perspective all the way to persuasive essays requiring thorough explanations of “Why” I’d be a good fit for a specific M7 program. Brooke made sure I reached out to current students at every program I applied to and coached me on leaving a lasting impression to everyone on campus during my in-person interviews. Brooke is thorough, patient, and incredibly thoughtful. She worked around my busy schedule whenever necessary and helped me complete my applications well ahead of the deadlines.
TLDR: I unreservedly recommend Pascal. He is the best at what he does. He was instrumental in getting me into my target school, as well as landing my MBB offer. In the process, he became a good friend. So much so, that I invited him to my wedding!
*** I have a really unorthodox background. And not in an obviously favourable way. Never had a conventional job. My goal was to get into LBS and land an offer at an MBB London office.
When I reached out to some of the other top tier admissions consulting firms, almost all expressed their doubts. One even outright told me to forget about MBB. And I appreciate their honesty.
Pascal was equally honest but the difference was that he truly believed in me, and that we could get this done. And that’s my top tip: go with someone who really believes in you, because that type of confidence is contagious and you’ll need it throughout the process.
Pascal won’t write your essay. He’ll do something much better. He’ll help you find your drive and build it into a narrative that is genuine and compelling. I cannot stress enough how valuable this will be; not just for admissions, but more importantly for recruiting.
Defining my narrative and ambitions with Pascal really allowed me to excel during interviews and helped me land my dream job at an MBB London office during a year when recruiting for consulting (or anything for that matter) was really tough.
The service is not cheap, but I can vouch that it is the best of the best. It’s a holistic approach and includes elements of executive coaching. The only caveat is that you need to trust the process and commit. Share as much as you can about yourself and put the work in. You won’t regret it.
I wholeheartedly recommend Pascal as an excellent advisor to guide any aspiring MBA candidate through the grueling application process. The entire application process took over a year (from GMAT studying to applications to interviews to offer negotiations), but Pascal was there with me every step of the way – I spoke more with Pascal some weeks than even my best friend during the peak of the application process (which goes to show how committed Pascal is) – and in doing so, Pascal became not just an advisor, but a friend and confidante (who I continue to keep in touch with to this day!).
If you are currently working towards 2024 admissions cycle, or thinking about 2025 admissions cycle, and you aren’t sure how to put all of your materials together to present it to the adcom in a cohesive/comprehensive manner, then I highly encourage you to reach out to Menlo Coaching and ask for Lainie’s availability for two reasons (1) her expertise and knowledge in crafting a successful application (2) her professional commitment to be available and also be kind throughout this arduous process.
Lainie was able to dissect, analyze, and formulate all the components that an applicant needs to be a competitive candidate for each of the specific schools that I wanted to apply to (M7s and T15s). She first took her time and effort in learning about my entire personal and professional history – this allowed her to help me craft a personalized, goal-driven, and execution oriented essays that are compelling and viable for the adcom evaluating my candidacy. I cannot stress the importance of the months long back and forth I had with Lainie in fine tuning the essays: it’s perhaps the most convincing component of your application as to why you want to attend the school, and Lainie made sure we had that down to the tee. Without Lainie, I am unreservedly convinced that I would not have received interview invites and offers from CBS, Stern, Johnson, Tepper, and McDonough.
Beyond her obvious talent and expertise in this field, Lainie is highly empathetic to how difficult this entire process can be, and her experience allows her to be the perfect pacemaker throughout the entire journey. She checks up on you frequently to ensure that you aren’t overwhelmed, and helps you breakdown the workload so you are still working towards your goals. And when we need to accelerate and push, she’ll be energetic and reliable in ensuring fast turnarounds.
So go ahead and reach out to Menlo Coaching to ask for Lainie as soon as you decide to work with a consultant – it will be a great investment for your peace of mind as your work to put together your application. And I am confident the results will immensely satisfy you!
