My career in MBA prep started in January of 2000, teaching verbal GMAT Prep for Kaplan. I had just returned from studying brand strategy and consumer loyalty at ESC-Amiens, a French-speaking business school, as the first recipient of the Global Scholar Award from the University of Iowa.
While completing my MBA studies in the Spring of 2000, I was recruited to head up the GMAT service offering for a large admissions consulting firm. For 13 years, I worked to prepare MBA applicants part-time.
Post-MBA, I spent eight years working for Fortune 500 companies in marketing management roles, writing award-winning advertising campaigns for Gannett and direct mail that broke sales records for Dow Jones.
As the Wells Fargo corporate newsletter editor, I interviewed upper management and told their stories. Once familiar with my talents, many invited me to write their bios and serve as their ghostwriter.
Exiting corporate, I started a consultancy developing value propositions for new startup owners, helping them increase sales revenue and obtain VC funding.
Drawn to marketing people rather than products, I decided to go from part-time to full-time with MBA prep consulting. I help both full-time and EMBA leaders get into Top 10 MBA programs.
Live jazz is my jam, along with personal development and perfecting my French. You might find me swimming, meditating, or hanging out in downtown Sacramento. Sipping on sangria, asking strangers if I can pet their dog.
Schedule a profile review with me to see if we would make a good team. I want to help you create your best applications to get into your dream b-school and pursue a career that excites you.

✔ I KNOW WHAT’S OUT THERE
Having worked for five large admissions consulting firms, I’ve read and edited several hundred essays. I know what has been “done to death” by applicants, and where the opportunities lie.
✔ I HAVE WHAT IT TAKES
Work with a personal, skilled seasoned professional. I actually have in-depth experience with it ALL – MBA program knowledge, coaching skills, creative storytelling skills, AND business communication mastery. Plus, I am a warm and caring person.
Menu of Services and Associated Costs
I take the time to get to know my clients inside and out. This allows us to create truly customized applications that are consequently very successful.
Also, you will be working with me directly – a full-time experienced proven professional – on all elements of the application.
It’s important that we work together on every aspect of your application. NOT just your essays. Statistically, each element is weighted equally. Essays are weighed the same as your letters of recommendation, CV, and application boxes.
For this reason, the first application generally requires 40 hours. My hourly rate is $100/hour. Subsequent applications are sequentially less, 25-30 hours, then 10-15 hours for 3rd and 4th applications. I strive to maximize your chances by repurposing your content in other applications.
Don’t roll the dice on your future when the payoff is potentially massive: starting salary, scholarships, and being supremely prepared for MBA internship interviews.
