  • It's True
With a background in financial services and healthcare, I was delighted to work with Jessica throughout my application process because she really understood my type of work and truly helped me to shape what b-school meant to me in the long run. During times when work got the best of me, she was there to remind me about upcoming deadlines and how behind I was. When I would send her the first draft of my personal statement 4 hours before submission, she was there and always willing to give me the best guidance. Without a doubt, all of the reviews shared below honestly reflect who Jessica is not only as a mentor but also a friend. I cannot reiterate how meaningful she was towards my ...

  • What Are You Waiting For? Pick Jessica!
Jessica came highly recommended from Alex, the CEO of MBAExchange. After a preliminary conversation, I knew she was the right consultant for me. Jessica will work tirelessly to make sure you have all your application materials ready and will prep you for the interview process. She never fails to reply with patience and thoughtful consideration whenever I had a question about a school, the structure of MBA programs, and the most dreaded part of the application.....the essays. I chose to not apply to business school this year for personal and financial reasons, but I will not hesitate to say that Jessica is the best person to help anyone go through the daunting MBA application process. She provides you so much support, both professionally and sometimes ...

Jessica was extremely helpful throughout the entire application process - from initial brainstorming to refining essays and interview prep. She took the time upfront to thoroughly understand my background and how an MBA would help me accomplish my goals, focusing on crafting a cohesive story that would help differentiate me from others with similar careers (esp. relevant coming from an investment banking and private equity background). With her help, I was admitted to both Columbia and Kellogg. I'd recommend anyone currently contemplating using a consultant to consider working with Jessica... she was incredibly responsive, insightful and knowledgeable - and always willing to offer her advise.

Jessica was great! We worked together on an hourly basis on my EMBA application. She was a huge help in making the whole process less mysterious and gave me excellent essay edits. I got into Wharton (the only place I applied) and would highly recommend Jessica!

“You will never go wrong with Jessica”. That’s the words Seth (from MBA Exchange) told me when I was unclear which consultant I should choose, or even whether I should hire a consultant for my MBA app process. Looking back, I feel so fortunate that I made the best decision ever. I came from a background that is well known for how competitive the candidate pool can be – Asian, male, and finance industry. I was not confident at first, as a lot of friends were telling me that it is going to be very difficult to get into top business school with my profile, simply because too many of us are having similar backgrounds and it is just too difficult to differentiate myself among my ...

I worked with Jessica this past year to review prior applications to GSB/HSB and do mock interview prep, and I was ultimately accepted to one of them this time around. She was incredibly helpful every step of the way. I am grateful that I was able to work with her this past year because she thoroughly reviewed my prior application, spoke at length about the overall strength of the narrative, and provided critical feedback that was instrumental in the success of my second try. She took her time getting to know what made me tick and putting my most interesting attributes front and center. She has a keen eye for detail and a knack for writing. Both her high-level advice and minute suggestions were spot-on. I would ...

Jessica came highly recommended from a friend and I sure am glad that Jessica and I chose to team up - she gave me the advice, motivation, and push I needed to get through the grueling process of applying to business school. I completely underestimated how tough the business school application process was and put myself in a tight squeeze by having to study for the GMAT while writing applications to make the R1 deadline. Jessica kept me organized with all the different work streams and kept me to strict deadlines so that I wouldn’t fall behind. I ended up getting into one of my top two choices and cannot wait to embark on this new journey this fall!!

I am SO happy I decided to work with Jessica on my applications – if you want to put your very best foot forward and get into the best schools you can, working with Jessica is a no-brainer. I worked with Jessica on my applications to 4 M7 schools – I was admitted to 3 (waitlisted at 1) and will be attending HBS in the fall. She gave the kind of tailored advice and feedback you can’t get just by browsing the internet. She helped me with every step of the process to craft the applications to highlight the best version of myself. Jessica was not only a consultant but also cheerleader, coach, and friend. If you are reading this post, it's likely because you are considering hiring a consultant. Do it. The amount that you will pay for a consultant will be a drop in the bucket out of your MBA education and may even come back to you in scholarship money if your application is strong. That being said, after looking at a few different consulting companies, I decided to go with MBA Exchange, because it seemed like they were the most organized and really invested in their work. Given that I was not from a finance background and knew very little about the business school app process, getting a consultant was a way for me to level the playing field and make sure that I was not ...

I say unequivocally that Jessica is a first-rate MBA admissions consultant. Since we've started working together, she has constantly been a resource for me (and an enthusiastic one at that!). Over the last several months, she's provided an incredible amount of helpful insights and perspectives and general support. Jessica helped me reflect on my past to unearth personal insights (e.g., what motivates me, what I would like to accomplish in business school and post-business school) that I then was able to discuss in my application essays. Perhaps more importantly, she helped me discuss these insights in an eloquent and effective manner, ensuring that my writing resonated well with admissions committees. She also prepared me incredibly well for the interviews I was fortunate enough to be invited ...

I was late to the game, applying right before R2 deadlines. I knew that selecting the right admissions consultant would be key to putting my best foot forward in the application process. I interviewed/investigated multiple top-ranked admissions firms, and was surprised how immediately clear it became that Jessica and the MBA Exchange were the obvious choices. Jessica helped me navigate through the tight deadlines without sacrificing the quality of my application. Her guidance made the process not only bearable but actually self-reflective. Luckily, I came across Jessica’s bio on Poets&Quants. I had a bit of time before applications were due, so Jessica and I started out with very high-level discussion on goals, school choice, and work/life experience – Jessica’s excitement about my story was motivation to continue, and her great ability to uncover and explore important elements of my story was fundamental to my success as an applicant. Jessica is an amazing admissions consultant. Not only does she have very good ideas when reviewing essays, but she also becomes a confident with whom to share your concerns and projects. She never hesitated to ask how I was doing or whether she could be of any greater help. Her interest in my success was genuine, and I am sure that that is the case with everyone she works with. She is not just a consultant, she is part of your team. This last year has been quite a ride, but after a long deliberation I am now ready to start my MBA at a M7 school. Her feedback was invaluable in helping me bringing out my best stories and building a tight narrative. I was delighted when I was accepted at my top choice (Yale SOM) with a merit scholarship. If I need to express Jessica in one sentence, I would just say that she is the best consultant ever! I GOT INTO CBS (and received offer from NYU Stern) with a low gmat score (680) and not very high GPA. Actually, I'd worked with one of the consultants in another big company, but that was the worst experience I'd ever had. Thus, when I was looking for a new consultant, I had strict requirements: put lots of attention on each student, is honest, quick, gives positive feedback, has lots of successful experiences with CBS, and respects students' choices on choosing schools. Among many consultants in various companies, Jessica was the only one who fit all these requirements. While working with her, she provided me ...

  • Going to HBS thanks to Jessica!
I wasn\'t sure I wanted to work with an MBA consultant when I first started the process of applying. The cost is significant and when I was first considering applying, I wasn\'t sure the value would offset the price. I reached out to a few different companies and it was clear off the bat that The MBA Exchange has incredibly deep industry knowledge on business school admissions. I had an introductory call with Jessica and it was immediately clear that she has worked with all the top business schools and that she strategizes differently by school and her years of experience working with each. I decided to work with Jessica for my top choice school only (HBS) and it really made all the difference in ...

  • Accepted to CBS, MIT and Booth!

From the first day I started working with Jessica, she has been amazing. This process is daunting, stressful, emotional, and overwhelming and Jessica was not only a fantastic editor, but become a friend and support system. (I sometimes felt she was my therapist pulling me out of the MBA application downward spiral when I had zero confidence). She kept me sane, but most importantly pushed me to be better and better. Jessica helped me dig deeper and flesh out stories in my life I never thought were impressive. She is patient, very approachable, extremely responsive, and HONEST. Beyond the essays, Jessica is great for mock interviews and I credit my MIT interview to her. With such a structured approach, I was very nervous about MIT ...

  • Below average applicant to top M7!
Many people say the MBA is transformative. My transformation started over a year before the first MBA class: that is when I started working together with Jessica. I am a re-applicant and my essays pre- and post-Jessica are simply incomparable. But it is not only my essays and my overall application, but also I changed thanks to her guidance and mentoring. She is very fast, clear and candid. I also had the chance to meet her in person, she is extremely nice. She can also give great mental support whenever I felt insecure or started to panic over a tiny detail in my application. Both my GPA and my GMAT are way below average, yet I made it to a top M7 school and I ...

  • Accepted to Columbia and couldn't have done it without Jessica!!
I honestly could not have gotten into CBS without Jessica's help. I was really nervous going into the application process. After taking the GMAT in August, I made a last minute decision to apply for the 2017 start year. I hadn't done much research on the requirements and I had no one around me with experience to guide me, so I knew I would have to engage a professional consultant or I was just going to waste time and money. I also knew that my state school pedigree and a mediocre job not favored by adcoms would require that my application package be absolutely polished. I "shopped around" a bit by taking the free 30-minute consultations with a handful of top MBA admissions consulting firms; ...

  • In @ Booth and CBS! Thanks to Jessica!!
Jessica is the best consultant I've ever known! I don't think I can get two offers from M7 without her help. When I tried to develop my "career goal and why school" essay, Jessica asked me a lot of to-the-point questions and sometimes even cornered me to think through my answers. With her guide I streamlined my story and got a clear picture of my goal. This also benefited me a lot when I interviewed with CBS and Booth as I could tell my story logically and clearly to the interviewers. She is also very patient and responsive to all my questions about school/interview/essay. My application ended but our friendship continues!

  • EXCELLENT!
I did a lot of research before hiring an MBA Admissions consultant, because this is a big investment. I arranged introductory consultations with the major firms, spoke with potential consultants, and checked references. Before I share how amazing Jessica is, I think it's also worth mentioning that from this experience, MBA Exchange stood out among the pack, answering all my questions, providing references without hesitation, and following up. During our initial call, Jessica stood out. Not only was she warm/easy going, but she had clearly prepared. She knew the details of my background and asked great questions to understand why I was looking to work with someone on my applications. No one else I had spoken to had done this. As she would later prove ...

  • Highly recommended - Got Into INSEAD

Apart of helping me get into my dream MBA program she taught me how to better sell myself. She helped me get the most out of my profile. I am convinced I have sent the best applications I could have done. She showed me how to address to a very specific type of reader: the application team. I could not have done it without her. During that time, I was working for a mining company in the middle of Africa, Jessica\'s support was crucial in never loosing the motivation to go through the painful and challenging MBA application process. She was always available, very fast in answering, always up to go the extra mile, and most importantly always showed confidence in me :) it helps ...

  • Jessica helped me get into Wharton!!
Applying to business school was very overwhelming for me because I was not coming from a traditional finance/consulting background, and my quant score was mediocre. However, Jessica was excellent at creating an organized a process and making sure every piece of my application was absolutely perfect. What I especially loved about her was that she wasn’t easy on me. She pushed me to think harder about my essay content and reasons for wanting to attend business school. She asked all the right questions to address any holes in my story. She had very honest and straightforward feedback, while still managing to be encouraging. She made sure my essays was clear and compelling as well as stylistically sound. With Jessica’s help, I was able to get ...
