Mark is a graduate of the Wharton Business School and Stanford Law School. He prides himself on crafting novel messages out of seemingly ordinary backgrounds, mastering the details and the big picture of the application process, and helping clients overachieve.
He has long been fascinated by the power of language, critical thought, and story arcs. This led him to law school, where he honed the rhetorical skills that would prove invaluable in crafting essays. He also grew intimately familiar with how the most selective university in the world chooses admits.
He then worked for a number of tech startups and spearheaded applications product marketing for Oracle, which would prove directly relevant to the business school application process. He also has firsthand industry expertise within finance and real estate.
Mark has been helping MBA applicants realize outsized results for 11 years.

Mark was truly fantastic in guiding me to get my place at my dream school – Berkeley Haas. I was poorly prepared before speaking to him, and despite the tight timeframe, he bent over backwards to help me with my essays. He was highly responsive and gave fantastic advice and guidance. If you want someone who will help tease out your key qualities and build out the right kind of essays for your dream school, Mark is absolutely the person you should get to help you.
I had the chance to work with Mark on an hourly basis, and I strongly believe he was a true value add to my application. Thanks to him, I got into one of my top choice programs with a scholarship. In formulating my narrative, he helped me take a “thesis-like” approach and tell a story that was true to myself and presented my ideas and experiences in an organized yet creative manner. As part of the editing process, his straightforward and concrete feedback helped refine my ideas and elevate my writing.
Something else that sets Mark apart is his rapid turnaround time. As a candidate who had a significant amount of work left to complete in the final two weeks before the application was due, I was very impressed with his responsiveness, ability to provide edits within hours, and willingness to make himself available over the phone on short notice.
I really enjoyed working with Mark—he is an incredibly creative and thoughtful consultant and I think the success of his clients attests to this. Do yourself a favor, and work with Mark!
Working with Mark was an incredible experience from beginning to end. His guidance crafting my complete applicant “story” was invaluable and he was able to provide great context on how to interpret essay questions from each individual school. As someone with a primarily analytical background, I found great value in Mark’s seemingly endless revisions of my essays – and his ability to always find opportunities for improvement. After I received an invitation for an interview, Mark was a great sounding board for my preparation and helped me craft my message for my interviewer. Throughout the entire process, his flexibility and availability were unmatched, and it was impossible to produce drafts fasted than he could review them. 10/10 would recommend!
If you want to get into a top MBA program, I cannot recommend Mark enough! Thanks to Mark I was admitted to Wharton, MIT Sloan, and HBS. Mark is invested in your success and will take the necessary steps to provide you with coaching and advice to elevate every aspect of your background. He is involved in every aspect of the application, such as resume polishing, essay development, narrative structuring, scholarship applications, you name it! Mark is a holistic consultant that cares about your success. A true testament to how committed Mark is to you is his uncanny ability to get back to you in less than 30 minutes, always and under any circumstances. I have never experienced a more responsive person in my life
Mark quelled my concerns about not being above the 90th percentile on my GRE- and he was right. I was invited for interviews at all 4 top California schools. Mark’s advice comes from decades of experience and because he thinks like a businessman (which, in the end, is how these schools are run!)
Mark kept me sane throughout the entire application process, from personal statement brainstorming to waitlist strategies. He helped my essays go beyond where I thought I could’ve taken them myself, and his mock interviews prepared me for the curveballs. I ran every small silly question past him, and he never made me feel small or silly for asking.
Even after I thought our contact was done, Mark walked me through his unique waitlist strategy. He helped me reposition myself, and show the right balance of persistent and desirable. I was in uncharted territory, in terms of what I expected the application process would involve, but his plan of attack proved successful.
I truly don’t think I’d be attending my dream school without Mark’s coaching. I cannot thank him enough and will continue referring friends for decades to come.
