FINANCIAL TIMES’ BEST B-SCHOOLS IN EUROPE

As a composite ranking, FT combines scores from its previous 2021 rankings to compile its list of best European business schools. This includes the 2021 rankings in MBA, Executive MBA, and Masters in Management, and its 2020 rankings in non-degree executive education in the Open and Custom categories. (Open and Custom rankings were not conducted in 2021; FT’s online MBA and Master’s in Finance are not included in this ranking.) You can read about FT’s full methodology, criteria, and weighting here.

INSEAD topped FT’s 2021 Global MBA ranking for the third time in 22 years, moving up three places from its 2020 showing. European schools following in that ranking included London Business School (No. 2) and IESE Business School in Spain (tied for No. 4.) HEC Paris was first in this year’s European EMBA ranking.

For MiM, University of St. Gallen in Switzerland topped the ranking for a record-breaking 11th consecutive year. With the win, Switzerland, of course, beat its own record of 10 first-place finishes set in 2020. That consistency may actually highlight flaws in this and other rankings, Poets&Quants editor-in-chief John Byrne wrote in this analysis.

You can see how all the schools stacked up in the full Financial Times rankings in the top 50 chart below, and in the final chart on the next page.
