First off, thank you for your service to our country. I am surprised, however, that you were in the Marines for just a little over a year. Is that correct or a mistake? In any case, there are several reasons why HBS would be difficult for you. Your GMAT score at 670 is 60 points below the class median at Harvard Business School. If you really want to have a chance at HBS, you would really need to be in the 700+ range. Clearly, you have a lot more going for you than might be indicated in this profile because you have already been accepted by Michigan Ross and waitlisted by Kellogg. But HBS is a real long shot.

GMAT too low. Undergrad college is not a feeder to HBS. Goals unclear.

Low scores and unclear goals. How long did you serve in the military? Doesn’t seem long enough to have gained actual leadership experience.
