Mr. Aspiring HealthTech Investor

About Me:

I am a Big 4 technology consultant coming from a top engineering program. I am passionate about technology, specifically emerging technologies such as AI. I am looking forward to the many applications of technology in healthcare, and potentially starting my own company in the future. I am also interested in finance, specifically VC.

I am looking for weaknesses in my application, and want to plan for my future applications. My application dates are not set in stone, and I am willing to wait to maximize my chances. My gpa is a bit low due to extenuating circumstances (sick family member, traveled between campus and home often) and any advice on how to deal with this would be helpful.

    Hi Mr. Aspiring HealthTech Investor,
It’s good to have a focus! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission and GSB alum. Having a healthcare background myself, I think your skills in engineering and consulting will be very attractive to healthtech companies. While I think you have a lot of strengths in your profile, I do think waiting another year or two before applying to HBS would strengthen your application. Working at a Big 4 provides a solid footing – continue to focus on that as top business schools are looking for top performers. As well, do take the time to engage with community organizations outside of work. While you have robust student leadership experience during undergrad, AdCom wants to see more recent leadership experiences. Volunteering at local …
