I have been exposed to the business side of biotech at my start-up and I absolutely love it. I’d like to transition into a strategy role for a bigger company after earning my MBA, eventually, I’d like to return to start-ups. In the biotech industry, upward mobility is limited unless you have an advanced degree.

It’s refreshing to see someone who has a genuine passion for their industry and even in a brief snapshot of your profile, this just shines through. I love that you’ve followed that passion for biotech into a startup, which will give you a breadth of insight that you wouldn’t get in a bigger firm. You’ve got a great GMAT test score, you’re an athlete which speaks to your individual drive and commitment, and I think an MBA at this point makes perfect sense to build on your biology undergrad and facilitate your transition into a strategy role.
