Hi Mr. Classic Engineer – it’s Liza from Gatehouse Admissions. As an MIT Sloan grad myself, I admittedly have a soft spot for anyone who targets Sloan as their 1st choice! And yet, my biggest piece of advice is going to be: make sure you consider other schools in addition to Sloan! Sloan sees so many engineering applicants; it’s incredibly challenging to stand out as one. Not to say you won’t be in the running – your GMAT is stellar; and while your undergraduate GPA is a little lower than they’d like, they’ll view the 4.0 from your Masters as proof that you can apply yourself and excel.
