At the age of 30, I was managing 2,000,000$ worth of customer portfolio, achieving 12% of ARR growth from Q1-Q2 2020 (just before Covid-19). Relocated and adapted to 2 different countries while working and currently work for the Spanish market while studying part-time. Finished my undergrad with the 2nd-best GPA of my class while working part-time.
Hope to use the MBA’s innovative thinking and leadership knowledge to add to my analytical skills and previous studies, to bring technology to the people and help them extract value. I hope one day to lead a department/organization in bringing socially responsible technology to the market, specifically to the environmental and educational sectors.

Hi Mr. Customer Success, This is Debbie Choy, Senior Consultant at mbaMission. Impressive international background! I imagine you have plenty of insights from your experiences living in different countries. You have also done well in your career – with successes like growing customer accounts, and staying active in your community. Your career goals also make sense given your background, but since you are already in the tech industry and already have a Masters in Finance, be sure to explain why you need an MBA – what skills will you learn that you didn’t learn when you were doing your Masters in Finance? Your GPA and GMAT is below the average at Haas, but if there were any circumstances that affected your GPA, consider explaining that in …

Your GPA and GMAT is below the average at Haas, but if there were any circumstances that affected your GPA, consider explaining that in the optional essay. Hello Mr. Customer Success, it’s Lisa Cummings of Stratus Admissions. I am drawn to your international wanderlust and I was a ruby player myself in college! A few small broken bones sidelined me from that sport but I did enjoy it. Back to grad school……Your stats are in the range, a bit lower than average for Haas but your masters degree and international work will be attractive to them. In your essays you will want to give details on your work success and your adaptability- 2 things that are important to adcomms. How were you abel to achieve that 12% growth? Also think about building your case for why you now need an MBA to reach your goals. In years gone by, having …

In years gone by, having a masters in finance then applying for an MBA might have raised eyebrows at some schools but no more. So be sure to articulate why you now need an MBA to achieve your dream roles. Make sure schools can clearly see your path from your work history through to being a team/product lead. Best of luck!
