Wow. Congrats. You’ve done really well, particularly for a first generation college grad. In fact, you have just crushed it. A 4.0 in a difficult major, mechanical engineering, a 750 GMAT score that is 20 points above Wharton’s median, an Ivy League master’s degree, and meaningful jobs at both a Fortune 500 and a startup, with high performance ratings to boot. Your post-MBA goal is perfect. While your extras feel light and lack leadership cred, everything else is in line for an admit. I think it’s too late to build on your extras and it may not matter a whole lot because that is the only place you’re not checking a box. It’s clear that you have been laser focused on your career and credentials. …

It’s clear that you have been laser focused on your career and credentials. I would make the point in your essays that you really want to change that apporach at business school, getting involved in things that will contribute in a positive way to the culture and community of the school. It shouldn’t be an idle promise, either. You need to mean it and even identify how you envision your involvement. Adding this element to the picture could very well put you over the top.
Why no Kellogg? Not 100% sure the school choices make sense, but competitive profile none the less.
