Hi Mr. Deferred Asian Entrepreneur, It’s not easy to lead a startup from pre-seed to exit – congrats on your success! This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission and GSB alum. I think you have a lot of strengths in your profile – apart from your entrepreneurial success, I also see a lot of student leadership roles (director at student entrepreneurship club, coach for student entrepreneurs, analyst at accelerator, volunteer at local nonprofit and captain of a sports team). How do you find the time to do all these activities? That said, I do wish your GPA and GMAT are stronger. The average GMAT and GPA for GSB are 730 and 3.6 respectively, and even a shade higher for deferred applicants. I assume you’ve already submitted your GSB app this past week, but if you’re considering the HBS 2+2 as well, you may still have time to retake the GMAT and see if you can boost the score. Even if it’s by 10 points, it would still make your profile more competitive. If the deferred applications don’t work out, fear not, you’d certainly have time to retake the GMAT should you want to reapply in a few years. If you wish to discuss your profile in further detail, feel free to schedule a consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
