Hi Mr. Electrical Engineering, I think your international work experience will certainly be attractive to both US and European schools. This is Debbie Choy from mbaMission. I like your professional track record – it looks like you are doing well in your career, moving from Senior Associate to Manager at a top consulting firm in India. That said, given your tenure and post-MBA goals of joining MBB, I wonder what an MBA education will teach you that you aren’t learning on the job. As you put your apps together, be sure to articulate that. Also, given that you have more work experience than the typical 2 year MBA applicant, I would suggest looking into some 1 year MBA programs that are more tailored for more tenured applicants. For example, the Kellogg 1 year Accelerated MBA program, the Stanford MSx 1 year program, and the Columbia J-term program designed for candidates not making a big switch in their career (and thus don’t necessarily need a summer internship). You may find these programs to be a better fit for you given your extensive consulting background. If you would like to discuss your profile in more detail, feel free to schedule a 1:1 consultation with us. Wishing you the best in your MBA journey!
