If I had to create a profile that would more or less guarantee one’s acceptance to Harvard Business School, your profile might be it. What I most admire is your ability to gain leadership positions with real results. It does without saying that your founding of a student mentorship program at IIT-Bombay and your role in a non-profit startup as a volunteer product manager demonstrates your ambition beyond self, an important admissions attribute at elite business schools. It does without saying that your founding of a student mentorship program at IIT-Bombay and your role in a non-profit startup as a volunteer product manager demonstrates your ambition beyond self, an important admissions attribute at elite business schools. It goes without saying that you are in the vastly over represented part of the applicant pool as an Indian IIT grad but by working in energy and CPG you have smartly differentiated yourself from the bucket loads of software engineers. I do think the only way you get turned down is a mediocre interview which I believe is highly unlikely given how solid your profile appears to be. Good luck!
The only drawback in an otherwise perfect application profile is the length of employment. Work for another 2 years and your chances would above 90% as work experience of less than 2 years is a no-no at the Top 10 schools,
