Hi Mr. Federal Consultant, Kristen from MBA Prep School here. I think you have a solid MBA plan here and all the building blocks for a successful candidacy at your target programs. I have a good sense of which firm you are working for, and its reputation is going to serve you well in the application process. I like your professional progression as well. Academically you may not have the big-name feeder school and your GPA is on the lower end, but your jumbo GMAT score helps to make up for that. I like your community involvement but it looks more like you are pursuing personal passions than giving back. Are you involved in any type of volunteerism, or on any internal committees at work? This would really help to enhance your candidacy. One other challenge to note is your amount of work experience. You are pushing the high-end of the spectrum, especially for a consultant, so why now? I do get the sense that you are very self-aware and know your strengths and weaknesses, which is you are targeting the schools you identified. I think you will receive more than one offer from this list. If you would like to chat further about how to make your application stand out, I’d be happy to offer you a complimentary consultation!
You have the requisite technical and managerial skills, the strong track record and the type of background that make you a strong fit for Darden.
