Your excellent post-undergraduate work record, I believe, may not enough to overcome your B+ grades at Anna University. Initially, I thought your 705 GMAT was on the old text. Turns out, it is not. You scored that on the Focus Edition which means your score is the equivalent of a 750 on the old exam. That changes things considerably. But you still face the challenge that you are in an overrepresented part of the applicant pool at Harvard as well as the other schools that are among your target MBA programs. You will be competing against other Indian-born engineers from IITs with higher GMATs and GPAs who work at MBB and other well-known firms. I do not like discouraging people from taking a flyer at …

I do not like discouraging people from taking a flyer at Harvard. A typical HBS incoming cohort has about a dozen to 16 students from the IITs. Your chance at Booth and Kellogg are obviously much better. But I would also still apply to places like Michigan, Duke, UVA Darden, and NYU. Best of luck to you!
